Very diligent in accommodating us into their schedule while considering our timeline and schedule. Very professional in that aspect, always kept us up to date with regards to when was the job going to start. I have to say, the crew that showed up was very professional and respectful of the property, started on time, finished on time and cleaned up after themselves. When I look at the quality of the work and the materials used, I know we got our money's worth, that fence will last many years as long as I do my part. Thank you Top Rail

We decided to add a screen porch a few weeks later, which understandably kicked the can down the road a bit. This is when (much like the references in the other one star review) communication began to suffer greatly, and eventually stopped, ALL TOGETHER, once we asked for our money back. We got ONE phone call, then we were ghosted completely. We called and sent messages through their website. Nothing. Keep in mind that we can prove that nothing had been purchased for this project. NO REASON for not returning my money. Seems pretty shady. So, this "Veteran Owned" company, has completely shafted a 100% permanently and totally disabled veteran. Our deck is an absolute safety hazard for my wife and I. I made that clear in one of the messages I sent. That I needed my money to get my deck fixed before someone got hurt. Nothing. Steer clear unless you're independently wealthy and care nothing of morals. Also, if you look, you will see that I write a good number of positive reviews, so don't think this is a one off. I'll also be sending this to WAVY TV 10, and the Better Business Bureau. Right now.

Starting any major project around the house can come with major anxiety, especially when you put…read moreyour trust in someone that you do not know. My anxiety was put at ease when I contacted Pegram Fencing to give me a quote to replace the fence around my yard. I originally planned on contacting multiple companies to quote us for the job. I stopped at two and knew that when I met Daniel for the quote that he would be the person I wanted to complete this project for our home. It was the best decision I could have ever made. Daniel came out to give us a quote for the fence replacement in November. When I originally called him he told me that it would be February before he could do the job if I decided to contract his company. I was willing to wait because of the consistent great reviews he has received. Once the contract was signed and we sent the deposit, he stayed in touch every few weeks to reconfirm the plan for the fence. Then came out a few weeks before the job was to be started to do some final checks and go over the plan one last time. Once the job started I could tell he was a true professional that took great pride in his work. He checked and double checked to make sure everything was just right. I was blown away by the quality of his work and his attention to detail. The fence is absolutely beautiful! When the fence was completed he took the time to show me how everything worked and even sent me an email afterwards with tips to keep my fence gates lasting! If your reading these reviews and need a new fence or replacement fence, stop here. This is the only fence company that you need to contact. Thank you Pegram Fencing!

I cannot speak more highly of Upward Construction and the work they did at my house in…read moreWilliamsburg. They replaced a badly weathered wooden deck and stairs at the back of my house with a beautiful deck and stairs made of composite material with aluminum railings. They also replaced the wooden fence (also badly weathered) surrounding the HVAC units on the side of house with vinyl fencing. I contacted Upward along with several other firms, and the owner (Tim Jones) got back to me by phone within a day and talked through the job. He then visited the site (I was away from the house) and within a few days, sent me a very detailed estimate that explained exactly the work that needed to be done. I then met Tim at my house, and he answered all of my questions and discussed options. Tim and team were ready to start the job in a couple of weeks and did a really great job. They prepared the steps and not surprisingly, discovered a lot of wood rot underneath; they completely rebuilt the structure underneath at an additional (but reasonable) cost. The crew was great. They showed up on time, were very courteous, and were very careful in their work, always cleaning up the job site at the end of the day, with a thorough cleaning when the job was done. The final result is just BEAUTIFUL and so much nicer than what was there before and should be pretty much maintenance free. Everything about this job went as it should, in that Tim was very responsive to any questions, communicated when there would be a delay (it took a little longer than expected to get materials), and made sure that I was fully satisfied with the final result. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!*****
