I let the other family owned busy go. This is a bonafide landscaping company. They even have uniforms to look professional. Quan is the Owner and he doesn't just show up occasionally and standby watching, he works too. He provides complete lawn care He , cuts hedges, takes care of our flowerbeds, lay mulch, pull weeds, trim trees and does much more at reasonable prices too. He does not do chemical treating. I wish he would. He told me he does a lot more, just ask him. Our lawn went from average to outstanding in appearance. We are very pleased with his services. If you want a yard to be proud of, I recommend this company. I waited a few months to see how they did before I posted this review. I let the other man go.

He offered to come by my house later that week to discuss solutions and provide an estimate. When Tom and his partner, Taren visited, they spent a good amount of time discussing solutions with me. We collectively came up with an idea to use lumber that had been sitting on our property to build a wall. Tom and Taren had put more thought into the solution and called me later to suggest they build a fence with new, pressure-treated wood instead. Tom reasoned that it would last longer than the wood that had been sitting on our property for two years, and it would be significantly cheaper. I highly appreciated the foresight and honesty despite it being a cheaper option. We agreed to the plan and they built the fence Wednesday the next week. They even curved it to help with noise reduction and ensured it was level despite our uneven terrain! I am blown away by Tom and Taren's commitment to their craft and their clients. They fit us in quickly and did a wonderful job building us a beautiful fence! They even care about the small details of client interactions. For example, Tom sent photos and videos of my completed fence while I was at work, and he recommended his favorite wood stain brand to protect my fence from the elements and carpenter bees. We hired JBC Landscaping to remove a bunch of trees, put in a french drain, rejpair the drainage…read moreditch at the road and level the yard.  They gave us a quote for the work, and we paid half up front.  We specifically pointed out two trees that were leaning towards our house to be removed, which they did not remove.   JBC has refused to complete the work.  We told JBC we were not satisfied with the work done on the drainage ditch.  Our opinion did not matter and they refused to do anything else with the ditch.  We were told that the uneven, unsafe land in the backyard would be leveled so we could plant our garden.  JBC only smoothed out the first 15 feet behind the house but the remaining half acre was not touched.  Yet they want the remainder of their money but are not willing to finish the job.

Also gone was a lot of the privacy that shielded me from the road. :( But that is not their fault. The smaller branches were fed into their Fargo machine; larger logs were left on the ground. I could have them remove all logs for an extra cost, but I was already stretching my budget. This is the 4th time in the past year that I have had LGS do the "heavy lifting" for me. A bit pricey, perhaps, but the work they do is first-rate. I have no complaints.

I know that sounds pretty simple, but we have never had an issue with them showing up and we are 100% confident in their abilities. I have seen them countless times go above and beyond with maintaining my yard (picking up smaller sticks I assumed that most other companies would just ignore, spending the extra minute or two sweeping off the patio of extra leaves, etc.). They also have a wide variety of services that we use them for including: - Mowing - Edging - Trimming of the bushes - Fall Leaf Removal - Winterization of Irrigation And so much more. I have completed 1 year of full yard maintenance with The Ground Guys. They contracted to cut the…read moregrass, maintain the mulch beds, trim the edges, pick up debris, remove leaves, prune bushes, overseed and aerate in the fall, activate and winterize my irrigation system. I also engaged them to install mulch and prep the beds as an added fee. They subcontract the irrigation services, and that company was very good, identifying where previously the system had damage that was not identified by my previous service company (extra fee for the repairs). They worked with me as well to adjust the watering setup to preserve new plantings. The GG's services were delivered like clockwork. They are very efficient and complete in all they do. When blowing debris for clean up, my wife was especially pleased that they blew leaves off of our back deck! That was a plus! Since I work from home, I was aware of their comings and goings and the work was always done well. When I had questions, the crew was very responsive to me and contacted the main office when there was some confusion about a schedule that was worked out very nicely. I see the cost of this service as very similar to and competitive with regular HOA costs for "full service" condo or townhouse subdivisions, but this is performed on my 1/4 acre lot. I find great value in this service from The Ground Guys and plan to renew my contract.
