The quality of his work speaks for itself. Mike is meticulous with his tile work and clearly takes a lot of pride in getting the details right. He's also a licensed general contractor, which made a real difference on projects this involved. He understands everything that needs to happen behind the finished surfaces, not just what you see at the end. He was dependable, straightforward, and genuinely easy to work with throughout both projects. When someone is working in your home for an extended period of time, that matters just as much as the finished product. We've trusted Mike with two substantial remodels and wouldn't hesitate to call him again. Great craftsman and a good guy. Absolutely recommend him.

I called to get an estimate for an urgent and unexpected repair I needed to prep my kitchen counter for painting (vintage blender was built into the counter, an electrician removed it and my tile paint guy {to his credit} said he was not qualified to fix it before he painted). I was in a jam. Mat, at Brooks Tile, emailed me almost immediately and told me he could not help me last-minute BUT he could refer a member of his crew to come over after hours and we'd deal directly with him. I got a call from his crew member very soon after, he came by to assess the job, and was able to fix it beautifully the next day. Mat even threw in the 4 x 4 tiles (about 11 of them) free to help me and his employee. Who does that nowadays? I give that commitment to assisting someone in need a 5-star rating. In 2018 I plan to tile my kitchen floor and Brooks Tile will be the first that I will contact for an estimate.

I would run away from having Mike to work on your fence or painting. He promised a great job and…read moreall we had was headache. Everything he committed to do for me he later changed his mind. The fence was totally done wrong and the wood is now separating on the fence only 6 months after his work. The height and the style was not even the same. You can see in-between the slates and the natural wood is showing. It's definitely a botched job all the way around. He over sprayed our fence into our neighbors pool and deck. I wanted to write a review so no one else wasted thousands of dollars on a terrible job. Our neighbor hated the work on the fence as well. Mike is a nice person but the quality is not there and he commits to work without writing it all down on his estimates so he isn't committed to follow it through. Be very cautious.

He went on to help with the plumbing, wall construction, as well a provide helpful design ides. After 3 bathroom remodel projects, we had Esturado replace a wood deck over a garage with a tile deck. The project involved removing old deck, replacing the roof over the garage, preparing the tiling surface, tiling and constructing railing. In areas where Esturado is not the expert, he seeks advise and assistance and finished this project like a seasoned pro. The most recent project did not include any tile work, but the replacement of a redwood deck. The project required close adherence to HOA rules and a fixed scheduled of completion as a rental property. Esturado demonstrated skills as a project manager to complete the project on time, in budget and of course with excellent workmanship. I can recommend the Pro Tile Guy as a dependable, competent and high quality business from my experiences.

I offered a bit extra if he could come the same day since I was hoping to get everything done before Thanksgiving, and he made it happen. Igor and his team were extremely professional from start to finish. He is incredibly meticulous and even suggested installing wood planks behind the lights to keep the light patterns consistent. I had spoken with five or six other installers before, and none of them mentioned this. By the way, not only did he install the wood planks but painted them to match the exterior. Igor was also very mindful about hiding all cables to keep the exterior looking clean, which I really appreciated. We feel very fortunate to have found Igor, and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that he does much more than just lighting installations. I must admit only a handful of these projects stands out in my memory. Unfortunately, mostly they stand out because they were horribly botched by the contractors. Then came Primespec as a shining EXCEPTION! I contacted more than half a dozen contractors for my home's relatively massive project. It involved building entryway casings (width-wise two 12 footers and two 6 footers), wainscoting for a 30 feet hallway and coffered ceiling (20' x 20' sitting room, and 6' x 30' corridor) project. Less than half of them responded but Primespec owner Maks was one of the few who would take the time to understand what needed to be done. He was the ONLY one who came back with a feasible proposal to work within my budget. Once we concluded the agreement, a date was scheduled to commence the project. We subsequently left for an overseas trip for two weeks. Complete radio silence during this time. Then as agreed, Maks and his team showed up on the appointed day, and the transformation began. Working with Maks and his partner Roman has been more than pleasant. Besides being punctual, respectful to our requirements, these guys are professionally well-equipped. Among other things they custom built an entryway keystone from scratch based on a photo I provided and it turned out better than the picture. During the course of the construction, they often would offer insightful suggestions. These suggestions typically resulted in higher level of esthetics that surpassed our expectation, even though, alas, these would also mean extra work on their part. They are artistically perfectionists. I would let the BEFORE and AFTER pictures speak for the stunning results. Need a truly honest, no-nonsense and responsible contractor? Look no further!
