Mike's Pizza to me is half rembering the Mikes of the past & getting used to their return to business. If you're excited to get Mike's Pizza back, hold- yes I said "hold"- your breath. It's not the same floppy, saucy pizza it once was. Normally, I don't live for the sauce, but Mike's Pizza sauce was special. It had a zesty flavor that would best be described as a "secret family recipe", so good you can't possibly recreate it. So, anyways, enough griping about the good ole days. The other week, it was late and I was in the mood for some good pizza delivery, & my Grub Hub Premium Pass was calling my name. I hopped on Grub Hub, ordered from a DIFFERENT pizza shop first, only to learn over an hour later they weren't even open that day at all. I then picked Mike's for a back up, glorifying the last time I enjoyed their pizza 13 years before. We got Sausage and Peppers on one Pizza and the second small pizza was called The Italy (or something like that), as the ingredients resembled the Italian flag- green spinach, red sun dried tomatoes, & white garlic oil sauce, mozzarella cheese, & ricotta cheese. Both pizzas were cooked well done & cut into triangles (most pizza shops round here do square, aka "Greek" cut). So what's different about this pizza compared to old Mikes? Well, a lot. The crust is much more stable, more cracker- like than floppy bread. The sauce is now middle of the road pizza sauce. And the sausage is in little sliced disks. Don't get me wrong, both pizzas were good. The Italy pizza was the better one, by far. It's definitely decent middle-of-the-road pizza, & is worthy of a try. read more

Mike's Pizza is located on a very busy road, but has parking on the side of the building with a convenient handicap access ramp into the building. The restaurant had a cute diner feel with a counter and four spinning stools in front of it. The pizza was ok, with a thin crust and non-acidic sauce but needed a wood oven to make it an exceptional versus average. The grinder was toasted and cheesy and a great sized portion. The wings were on the dry side and a little overcooked but the blue cheese dip helped with the dryness. The prices were reasonable but commensurate with the quality and taste of the food, which was average. read more

I don't know whats with the onions, but this is our second time ordering an entree from Mike's and it was drowned in onions...now I could understand maybe it was a specialty Chicken Marsala recipe the first time because it does say "small onions" on the menu (I didn't think it would be entire strips). But when we got chicken piccata the second time to find it ALSO made up 1/3 of onions...? I even looked before ordering and nowhere on the menu does it say it comes with onions. Go figure. Anyways, onions aside, the food was good. The sandwiches and french fries are phenomenal. Portions are generously sized. Will be ordering again and making sure to ask for no onions ;) read more

Another solid breakfast at Route 72 Diner this morning. Arrived at 8am, place was moderately busy, so we were seated right away. My wife ordered a bacon, cheese, & tomato omelette and I went the Triple 2's Special -- two pancakes, two sausage and 2 eggs. Meals came out after a short wait, everything was very good & tasty. Generous portions also. Home fries were cooked perfectly, excellent. Total bill was under 20 bucks, an extremely good value. Service was stellar also, our waitress, Charity, was friendly & attentive. Route 72 Diner is now our Go-To Place for breakfast in Bristol. Basic fare, but it's done right. IMO, it's a strong 4 Star rating. read more

Solid 5 stars for Mike's Pizza & Diner tonight. Ordered delivery and as advertised they were here within the 45 - 60 min time frame. I appreciate this because so many other places don't follow that and always run really late. Delivery driver was really pleasant and friendly. A++ for that guy. Two pizzas and some mozz sticks. Pizzas were fantastic. Best in the area in my opinion. While not being a fan of the pizza choices in the area Mike's is certainly the best for me. The mozz sticks were beyond good. Very tasty not the same old breaded and deep fried sticks. These appeared to be battered. Crispy with tons of flavor. Perfectly fried. Can't wait to try some other items on the menu as well as breakfast. Looks like they have one heck of a breakfast menu! read more

Great local spot! I go here once every couple weeks and have never had a bad experience. I call in ahead of time and it's usually ready within 15 minutes, 20 max. The food is always delicious and you can't beat the price. They certainly don't skimp on the portions either. I would highly recommend to anyone who lives nearby to try them out. Do not buy their chicken wings!! They're dry, over cooked and have absolutely no flavor. I tried eating them just because I don't want to waste food, but they're just unbearable. The pizza is okay though. Go some place else for your wings read more

Ok so I've tried a TON of pizza places in Bristol. Some are decent and some are really good. But Mikes pizza takes the cake! I deem it the best pizza is Bristol for sure. Chunks of vegetables.. full and fresh. Perfect sauce to cheese ratio. Herbs and spices on their crust.. making their crust a perfect ending to their yummy slices. Finally the sauce! I am a sauce snob and this sauce is glorious! I want it jarred so I can take it home and use it at my leisure. They have a fantastic looking menu too so I am going to venture out and try more things. I've already tried their fries and I was happy they were not overly salty and they give a nice sized portion. I will be back for sure.. maybe even once a month!! read more

Went to this place last month and had a good experience so I went back yesterday. I will never go back again. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. When we walked in 3 people at the register looked at us like we had 3 heads and never greeted us. Just stared. When we sat they waited on us fast enough. My son and I ordered our drinks. The waitress delivered them with her potentially nasty fingers on the rims of the glasses instead of closer to the bottom where we do not put our lips. I hate that. We both ordered the house special. The over hard and over medium eggs were over easy. So over easy that they were cold in the yolks. The pancakes were flavorless and cut in half as if the cook didn't know when they were cooked properly. Just when I didn't think things could get worse a very large ant walked across our table. I quickly brushed the ant off the table onto the floor. I then saw several large ants on the floor. When I got the check I was paying with credit card. Their credit card machine was down. I could write a lot more but have limited space. Had to wait 10 minutes for coffee also cuz none was brewed. Oh and sausage patties were ok but the links my son ordered were inedible. This place will not be in business long. Save your time and money and avoid at all cost. p.s.... Large ants in the dining area I could not imagine the kitchen. read more

Friendly and all but food is disappointing...beef fries was a bad choice, no seasoning in fries, no flavor in the meat...sandwiches was too much bread, again meat not well flavored...look it's a local pizza joint i get it. I love Mike's! I usually get a wrap or grinder and it's perfect every time. I love their Cole slaw and fries too! The smart mouth kid who answered replied "hang on". When he came back to the phone his reply was " yeah the Tuna went bad". Ok. So can you deliver a small pizza instead. His reply " yeah. They were very very small an extremely dry with no meat on them. So happy to have a new diner in the area. I am a Diet Coke drinker and was really happy to find Coca Cola products here. First impressions- very clean, inviting atmosphere, friendly staff. Convenient parking. Menu- overwhelming variety, especially considering we could choose lunch or breakfast items. Went with a traditional breakfast and was very pleased. Fresh eggs, EXCELLENT home fries(if you're local, they compare with Ed Beatties), good coffee, delicious sausage patties, perfectly prepared toast- all around enjoyable meal. My companion was equally pleased with the bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich. And of course, the Diet Coke was just right Portions are generous and prices are fair. Service was just right as well. Blueberry Pancakes (very good), oatmeal, corn muffin- good-standard. Eggs Benedict- (very good). Nice amount of room. Constant stream of people- which is a good sign. Not too busy, no wait. Very friendly staff. Coffee was fine. Home fries were very good. Food was not greasy (which some breakfast spots in Bristol actually most are). I placed an order and they never delivered it. I called after an hour and a half and they said the driver couldn't find the house- meanwhile I only have 2 houses on my street. They never called to say anything. He said the driver was turning around and bringing my food- I asked if it was going to be cold and he said no.
