MUST READ: Took my new boat (60 hp Mercury) in for 20 hour service ($200), took a week and half to…read moreget it back. When I picked it up, Rick said it was running great! I also had a fish finder installed, which was done right. Rick called me the next day, asking if I had found tools in the boat that might have been left. when I pulled the cover to look, found life jacks that had been pulled out from the console sitting in the isle. Why wouldn't they have been put back? What mechanic leaves tools around? A few days later, took the boat out to the lake, motor was miss firing, shaking and running horribly. Called Rick, he said it must be bad gas or the fuel line, told me to bring it in and he would take a look. (No warm and fussy and no week to wait) Called mike's Marine in Medford, said he would hook up to the Mercury Diagnostic and find the problem. Same day 3 hours later, Mike (Owner), found that the spark plugs that rick had installed, had never been gapped. Mike said they must have dropped one plug, as the tab on one spark plug was bent sideways. Then to make things worse, the spark plug wires were mixed up and put on the wrong plugs. I could only imagine if I had taken my boat in for a serious problem. I am not a mechanic, but not gapping a spark plug?? Rick said the motor was running great, that would mean that he never started the engine (Shook horribly). I would recommend Mike's Marine in Medford.

One of the nicest things is being able to talk directly with the owner Tim, Tim is never to busy to answer one of my many how can I do it myself questions. You will never get that kind of service at Water World. This is something you can only get from a local family owned business.

Deciding on what kind of side by side is no easy task, but it was truly easier when I went to Water…read moreWorld and was introduced to Scott who is very knowledgeable in all the different models and knowing all the pros and cons of each one. They have a Hugh selection of Can-Am's with different features and Scott took the time to explain each one in detail. It took some repeated visits to Water World, and I finally narrowed it down to a couple of designs that I was interested in. Scott introduced me to Tyler who literally brought everything together to make a complete package on what can work and not work with this particular side by side. It took some time to find the right accessories to be compatible and be able to work with other accessories. Bumpers seem to be the hardest to fit a winch or lights on, but Tyler really knows the inventory and made it an easy task. Tyler recommended a type of helmet at Cycle Gear, but it didn't fit with the radio head set and it had to be returned but Tyler said he can make it work. Wow! Tyler really did a great job, and you can't feel the headset pressing against your ears. I was really impressed with that and his commitment to making things work, he has MacGyver skills! Water World has the best staff that really go out of there way to make a dream come true but also having a wonderful experience. I apologies for not remembering the technician's names that built my Can-am, but you are not forgotten. A lot of care was put into hiding the wires, and putting everything together, a beautiful job and I really thank you for it. He explained in detail how to replace the engine belt and had all the tools laid out for me to note, and he even delivered the Maverick to my house on his own time. Lastly the financial and paperwork side of Water World which could not be possible without Bailey and again I apologies with names, but she helped me with my boat registration, wonderful staff! I can't thank Water World enough for all there friendly and knowledgeable staff for making this a fun experience for me.

Whenever I come from the Lake Almanor area for routine maintenance they are always quick to get me in and out on the same day and I really appreciate that. They have a huge selection of boats, sea-doos, jet skis, quads, dirt bikes, UTV's and more! He was able to ID the motor from pictures I sent to him. He promptly responded with the information I requested. Although their shop does not work on this old of a motor, he gave me the name of a good contact. Ben was courteous and very knowledgeable. I may not require the services of River Marine in the future, but would recommend them based on their willingness to help me.
