Pleasantly surprised, after weeks of putting off getting haircut...decided to try out Mike's Barber Shop. I arrived at about 8:15 am (they opened at 8:00 am) . 1 stylist one stylist on duty, I was 4th in line.... 2nd stylist in at 8:30... by that time there were 10 in queue. Then like a well oiled assembly line the two stylist began to rev it up and starting processing each customer at an awesome 10-12 minutes. Wow... and there work was precise & quality. My stylist YEN, was so very polite, communicated well, and highly skilled at her trade. I highly recommend this small 3-station barber shop... if you value your time you'll take my advice and come to this 'no frills barbershop'. Only CASH accepted as payment... i went to mikes barbershop and the lady who cut my hair was great. However, the cleanliness of the place was horrible. Apparently leaving everyone's cut hair on the floor is gross as well as on the desk. Just to get to the chair the floor was covered in cut hair thank goodness i had on shoes. Mikes barbershop really needs to work on cleaning up after every client. I'm going some where else. read more

I was overdue for a cut and decided to try Mike's after seeing my friend's hair. Located in the Windward City shopping center, behind Foodland, parking is plentiful and the place is easy to find. Came here on Veteran's Day, expecting a wait. The place was full but I got in a chair in less than 10 minutes. The woman who helped me was fantastic (didn't catch her name, but she had the chair on the far left and has been cutting hair for six years). Showed her a pic of what I wanted and she gave me exactly that. She even lined up my beard and sideburns with a straight razor. I was probably there maybe 15 minutes and left completely satisfied. And at $15, it can't be beat, especially when compared to the other barbers in Kaneohe (which are priced a bit higher and are never consistent). Come to Mike's. You won't be disappointed. read more

The hubby and our two boys get their haircuts here. The price is right and the ladies are friendly here. My hubby likes to go to the lady in the right hand corner. She's older than the others so he assumes she has the most experience. I do think she does a great job with my son's hair. We had to go to another girl on our last visit because the older lady wasn't there and his hair kind resembles a rice bowl now. I think from now on we'll wait for the older lady. Not sure how much the hubby pays for his haircut but for the boys they charge a little over $11 each. We give a couple dollars tip so it comes to $15 each. Best time to come here is when they open at 8am. Gets pretty crowded on the weekends mid-day. CASH ONLY. read more

This place is awsome.... tried another place (southside barbershop) never again! They made us wait 2.3 hours and passed our turn! Mikes is pretty quick u still have to wait but usually not too long and the staff is friendly... they acknowledge you ..not like that other place (southside barber) they usually do a good job on my fiancé hair. My wife specifically went here to get her eyebrows waxed and razored and will never be the same again. They messed her eyebrows up COMPLETELY. For waxing and razoring there were no clean lines, arches totally uneven and unplucked random hair. Her eyebrows are worse than they were before. DO NOT EVER GO TO THERE. They were rude and talk badly about customers in front of them. My wife doesn't even know how to fix her eyebrows they messed them up so badly. Do not make the same mistake we did by trusting them!!!!! By the way, if you're female expect to wait because they will ignore you for male clients. Cheap, fast and fair price. I have been coming here off and on for a few years. They already know who I am and know what I want when I arrive. My hair cut is easy so it's not a big deal for them to get it right. Once in a while it does get left cut a little longer than what I would want but it's better to be safe then having a cut that's way to short. The wait is minimal considering they are sometimes packed. Also other customers who all seem to be regulars are all polite and each patiently wait for their turn. This place is great! Every time I've taken my boys here for cuts we were seen within 5 mins and total time for the cut usually around 15 mins. Perfect for busy moms. Don't let the short time fool you they cut hair perfectly. They use buzzers and straight edge razors to perfect. I've even seen them giving men a short neck massage after their cuts. The cost is usually $15- kids above age 9 pay the adult price. The one thing I don't like that I've noticed is they don't clean the area between clients. I recently left a 5 star review on this place for the job they did on my youngest sons hair. Well today,I'm revoking it to -5 stars if I could. I brought in my oldest son who has long gorgeous curly hair,just for a line up around his edges to clean up some of his new growth. I attached a picture and I will NEVER be back. They shaved his head kind of like a bowl and it is extremely uneven and way to high up,looks terrible and I'm so upset about him losing so much hair. Tucked in the corner of Windward City Shopping Center on the Longs Drugs side. First time here. Best haircut I've had in a while. I've tried all of the other barber shops in Kaneohe and I think I'll be back to this one. I didn't have the bad experience that some other reviews mentioned. I'm so pissed with this place!! Horrible! They messed up my hair and then expected me to pay for it... I told the guy to then cut it to one length. I literally called the cops because I'm not paying for the service... They are waiting outside with me... Who does that?? What professional does that??
