There are two barbers-Lori and Ben. Co-owners and married to one-another. This was my first visit. The barbers work stations are very well-orgaized and clean. Not a large parking area but seems to be adequate in the morning. Lori gave me my haircut. Took her time using barber shears and scissors and had the best haircut in many years. Had to find a barbershop on the Eastside and LB's had excellent reviews. Not only that but the price is unmatched these days - $28 for a skin fade, with a line up, and quality blend. The barbershop is also very clean and peaceful. The shop has been there for 20 years so if you do the math that's a lot of haircut experience and it shows. Ben, owner of LB Barber Shop, did a fantastic job with my hair! It was July 3 -- and everything was either closed or on the verge of closing. I was hoping to get a haircut in, but I was so stretched for time, that I just didnt think it was going to happen. I live in town and am rarely in Kaneohe but as I was driving over to Windward Mall, I noticed the barber shop -- right off the main street but tucked away into a small shopping complex. Usually, I wouldnt think twice about going here -- but im glad I did. My hair, is VERY difficult to cut. You might be thinking, "how? hair is the same." Well let me tell you -- mine is not. My hair is hard to manage and my follicles are spaced further apart. My scalp is bumpy and I have patches where hair grows much thicker than in other spots. So you can imagine, having to mitigate through dents in the head and continual buzzing to match thicker spots with thinner spots, can be difficult if the barber isnt experienced. I walked in and saw one barber and one client in his chair. He was almost finished and I could see that the barber did a great job on his head. I sat down and quickly viewed the yelp page -- which, to my surprise, made me feel even better about experimenting with my hair. Ben has great conversation and tries to get to know his customers. LB Barber Shop has been around for 17 (SEVENTEEN!) years. The shop is clean and well-maintained. There is a restroom out back that requires keyed access. Parking is right out front. I want to say that parking is limited due to size of the shopping plaza, but I didnt have an issue getting parking (5p). Best part: Their pricing is phenomenal! As always, I never go into details on pricing since those are subject to change -- but currently advertised: "Haircuts starting at $21" He gave me a cut that I would usually pay $45+ for anywhere else. I will ABSOLUTELY go back to see Ben. Might even have to drive out of the way to get there, every now and again. read more

It did not disappoint. I take the drive to this barbershop regardless of the drive since the cut is always on point. Kimmy's barbershop is now LB barbershop. The original barber, Kimmy, is still there working alongside Ben and Lory, the two new owners. I stopped by there for a haircut lastweek and was served by Ben. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and experienced, and I have had the best haircut ever! His lines were so sharp. After the hair cut, he trimmed around the ears and the eye browns, too. No wonder my friends called this place their "secret" barbershop and they would not reveal it to me in the first place! Checked this place out as I am new to the neighborhood. Place was empty which is strange because all the other barber shops in Kaneohe are always crowded. Asked for a fade with #1 length buzzer, and next thing I know, I'm getting skin buzzed. Guy is very friendly, but uses the buzzer the entire time.
