NEW LIFETIME CUSTOMER! I found my spot!! Been looking for a good barber shop here in Hawaii! Boom. Done. Joseph was a straight professional! 1st appointment had to be canceled but he was on point with his communication and we lined up our second one right away! Been in the military for a while and just got out. I told Joseph to line me up and provide suggestions for my post Military hair style. He provide perfect feedback and a plan for the next several cuts. Super excited to come back and hit phase 2. Overall, place was super clean. We had a great chat during my cut and and absolute fantastic experience. Highly recommended! read more

Keoki did an amazing job teaching my son about what hairstyles are best for his hair type and how his hair flows. He took the time to teach him how to style his hair and take care of his new haircut. I highly recommend going here. They are very knowledgeable and they really know what they are doing read more

Pro-Tip: Phone train your staff. I booked 2 days in advance, made all the arrangements to shift MY schedule then suddenly nearly 9pm the night prior I get a cancellation text. This irked me as the auto-generated messages are sketchy looking to begin with since their business name isn't even on them (aka, Hi [name], . has canceled your appointment etcetc). Regardless, I called the next morning to figure out whether this was a glitch or not. I was offhandedly told the person I booked with was sick. Ok, I understand. ** To be VERY CLEAR this 1 star is NOT about the sick employee at all. ** After I was informed by whoever picked up the phone (they didn't identify themselves or give their name) that who I had booked with was out sick, they just STOPPED TALKING. No, 'We're sorry about how that affected your schedule/time', &/or ' Person A/B/C is open today, would you like to book with them instead?', &/or 'So sorry about that, we're also completely booked today, but we have/should have openings next Monday/week/etc.'. NOTHING. Just hanging silence with a vibe of 'hurry up and get off the phone, I'm busy'. So to whoever that young man was, feel free to thank them for not only losing my business but also making sure ALL of my Ohana and friends know that Faded Hawaii not only doesn't care about your time & money, they also don't care about putting any effort into customer service or being professional. read more

Love Faded! Get my hair cut by Johannes and have never had a bad experience, Had to roll this review below because people need to hear it. @Yesenia Seriously??? You leave a 1 star review because you felt the price was too high and you didn't get your precious discount, you didn't even get a haircut! I go to this babershop and their prices are straight up in line with their service. Don't leave s****y reviews because your privledge got hurt, drag your a** on down to Supercuts, you'll leave with a fade lined up like the Pali highway but your privlidge will be intact and you can take the money you save and buy your man a hat... he'll need it #dependareviews read more

Gotta be the best barber shop in Oahu! Keoki is by go to barber. We met over 5 years ago when he fixed one of the worst cuts I ever got in my life from one of those cheap military joints lol. Get what you pay for! I was recommended by a friend and never looked back! The sharpest cuts I ever had. My wife even started comming here too for fresh styles and designs on the side! We moved across the island and when you find your barber, you just never change up! I make the 30 minute drive no problem. The appointment is booked online so no sitting around waiting for a chair. The vibe and banter in the shop is always cool and relaxing. Always good tunes on or watching the game on the big screen. All the barbers In here put out super sharp work! It's impressive! But Keoki my dude. Forever greatful for the service brother! read more

This place is awesome and Keoki always send my husband home looking very sexy. Highly recommend if you want an extra doable looking man.

My appointments were accepted then cancelled an hour ahead of time by the barber. No call back to reschedule, no follow up. Disappointed. Have had good haircuts here in the past but now I have a daughter and rely on scheduling haircuts when I can get a babysitter and to have my appointment cancelled on me feels like a diss especially with no follow through. I can't go back again. read more

I found faded Hawaii through one of the barbers (Jo Empron's) page @jobarber_ and booked with him for my son. I was super nervous because my son (4) had autism and had never had a haircut before but we gave it a chance. Everyone was nice when we walked in, socially distant, and everything was super clean. His haircut went AMAZING. Johannes was so patient and nice to him. I truly didn't think it could have gone as great as it did. His work was fast but detailed. He did such a great job that he's the only barber we'll be booking with. Our son has been back and had the same great experience so we know that's just the Faded Hawaii standard . His dad came back to get his haircut too and loved it. Highly recommend this place and Jo @jobarber_ !! read more

I went in Faded Hawaii to get my beard cleaned up and the experience was no where near what I expected. Keoki messed around and hit me with the beard wash, hot towel, electric massage joint, straight razor, spot enhancement, and the FADED beard! I promise that Yaboy was in the shop feeling like a whole celebrity! Then as soon as I walked outside a random Shorty Girl yelled at me and hit me with the shocka! Hands down the best hair cutting experience you'll receive in Hawaii, or anywhere else for that matter! Just recently started getting my hair/beard cut at faded Hawaii a few month ago by Keoki. From the very first cut I received it instantly felt like a family affair. The whole staff goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service from start to finish. Nothing feels rushed, everything is done with precision. And don't get me started on the quality of my mans work!!!! Absolutely the best cut I've received in my life. From his sheer work to his blends it seems there's nothing Keoki and his crew cannot do. So whatever your flavor is look no further cuz this is THE SPOT! With a brand new renovated space, it'll have you feeling like you've teleported into a high end barbershop in LA. The entire Aesthetic of the space all the way down to the hand towels is very well planned and thought out. With all this, the Aloha spirit is not lost at all. these boys are a great example of what it means to show that Aloha spirit and values we all hold dear to us here in Hawaii. Like I said before it feels like a family affair and you'll leave with a feeling you've known them for years and can't wait for the next get together! I can honestly say since my first experience with FADED HAWAII I knew going back to any other barber (even if it would save me a small amount money) wouldn't be able to live up to what the boys at FADED HAWAII can provide. If it's your first time I HIGHLY suggest you get "faded experience" you'll receive the full experience of what faded Hawaii has to offer. If you've made it this far into my review mahalo for reading! Nobody asked me to even write a review that's just how solid these guys are and the quality of their work will impress you just as much it did for me to write a review and support! Go SUPPORT! Mahalo again to Keoki at faded Hawaii for everything! read more

I've been going to Faded and having my hair and beard cared for by Keoki for 2 years now. I've never been happier. The vibe is an old school barbershop with new school style. I can talk story and life and sports and then come home to a wife with a twinkle in her eye at my clean look. Joe is also great and I love seeing the styles he puts on his clients. 10/10 recommend. read more

Faded Hawaii - The Beauty of Simplicity - Barbers Near Me - Kaneohe, Hawaii

You know you've struck barbershop gold when... "Wow. Nice hair." ...random homeless Aunties in Chinatown walk up to you with unsolicited compliments in hand. "I was gonna say on Facebook, I really like your haircut! But didn't want people to presume you had it professionally done. Either way I like it!" ...former colleagues surreptitiously text you out of the blue so as to avoid the harsh spotlight of scrutiny. "I didn't recognize you, handsome!" ...longtime friends crane their necks with digital double takes on social media. As a self-described townie, there are few reasons I'd ever cross the Ko'olau to leave the rat race environs of urban Honolulu. Faded Hawaii is #1 on that short list. Along with a friendly, down-to-earth, and equally talented crew, Keoki has a true gift for crafting haircuts tailored to the unique needs and individual personality of each client, with an eye toward bringing out the very best in them. In so doing, these fine barbers set the gold standard to which other shops can only aspire. One awesome fade at a time. read more

Keoki has blessed me for the past 4 years and I can easily say that Faded Hawaii sets the bar when it comes to Barber shops not only for Hawaii but also the mainland. no more waiting in line or waiting hours at a barber shop to get a haircut. Their online booking service makes it so simple and easy to secure your spot. when it comes to the QUALITY of the haircut they get 10 stars!!! My hair is what you would call nappy (course). With nappy hair you can't just go to any barber, you need an experienced barber to do just a basic fade. I can't recommend FH for my brothers with course hair enough. For my gents with beards, FH has you taken care of as well, I don't trust anyone but FH to touch my beard. Hands down the best barber shop in the 808! New Location setup looks amazing, recommend parking at the mall. read more

Best barbershop on the island hands down! As someone who gets weekly cuts, I expect exceptional work and Keoki never disappoints. I LOST MY VIRGINITY AFTER GETTING MY CUT HERE!!! I came here a couple days ago, got cut by Joseph Moe. He did a great job and really knows his craft. He's as much of an artist and a therapist as he is a barber. I left feeling so confident I said, you know what, I'm gonna go lose my virginity. And I did it and it was great. But even better was this cut. Cause it was more than a cut though. It was a great conversation and an enlightening session. The shop is clean, they really follow safety protocols however annoying that can seem nowadays. But they do it right. Good jams playing, fair price, parking a little iffy but you can get your steps in. Do yourself a favor and drop the other shop, come check this place out. read more

I am going to preface this review by stating I have really bad luck with finding good barber shops. It seems like an every few months ritual to search online and find someone new to try after realizing the previous barber butchered my hair. I saw Faded in Yelp, and I saw the many great reviews. I almost kept looking, because I assumed this shop is in town. Nope. It's in Kaneohe! It's tucked away, which seems like a good thing. The first thing that really impressed me is online booking! Not many places are doing that. I prefer that so I can fit a haircut in my schedule and not be in a desperate state when needing a haircut. I didn't know any of the barbers, and they all have great reviews. I booked with Jo (Johannes JR on his card). I was a few minutes early, and I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. This place is setup well to hang out. Huge TV where all of the chairs could see it, and it was on basketball. All of the guys are very talkative. Talking about sports. Reminds me of the old school barbershops! Jo asked me what kind of haircut I wanted, and I was a little intimidated. This is the point with other barbers that I take the leap of faith. Medium fade turns into low fade or high fade, etc... He assured me that he'll do it right. You know what, he did! It's not cheap here, like the many shops in Kaneohe, but it's worth it! I will definitely be coming back to this place! Great job gents! read more

Excellent! We've been looking for a barber for my 17 year old son for the last 5 years. He finally told dad that he no longer wanted the buzz haircut he's been getting up until then. No one did his hair the way he liked, because he said that it looks good when you leave the shop, but the next day it's too hard to style. Until NOW! His haircut from Keoki was just for him. He went in with a picture, but Keoki knew better and cut his hair that would be best for him. My son was sooo...happy, especially because the following days he still can't stop looking at himeself! haha... read more

These guys are all great, solid haircuts, good hours and fun to crack jokes with. Make sure to book an appointment online.

The short version - This place is awesome! Better than where I go in San Francisco. Longer version: I ran out of time to get a haircut before leaving San Francisco on a visit to see my in-laws. I did a quick Yelp search and found Faded. Even though there are only a handful of reviews I took a gamble, and decided to get my hair cut here. Hard time finding the place, then I realized that it's upstairs and not really visible from the street. Also, the hallway is kind of sketchy looking and I almost turned around. That would have been a BIG mistake. I explained what I was looking for from Neil and he NAILED IT. Attention to detail, focused on perfection and delivered exactly what I was looking for. Next time I come to HI, I'm getting my hair cut here when I land! Best of luck guys, you're going to blow up! read more

Got a haircut from Joe, spent about an hour in the chair and walked out looking great. First off let me say i value my haircut too much, probably more than most men do. So let me tell you I've been to a ton of barbers in my life and Keoki is definitely in my top 3! That's coming from a man that's been valuing his haircut for 25 years! Keoki is attentive, patient, meticulous, and very professional. From start to finish, he makes you feel very welcome, and really gives you that aloha treatment. I will say this, I've gotten haircuts in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and a few other cities on the mainland, and I've never experienced the treatment that i have here. Great haircut mixed with even greater customer service, definitely makes you not worry about what your paying! When the experience is amazing, the price doesn't matter! I'd recommend this place to anyone who visits Oahu and have even taken my kids to get cut as well. Lastly if keoki is Booked, his boy Jo got hands too on the clippers, so anyway it goes you're going to stay fresh, and stay blessed when you visit the shop! Hope this help... read more

Decent haircuts but ridiculous "policies" I don't write reviews often but this needed to be expressed... I've had more then one instance with an unpleasant barber at Faded Hawaii. I've lived in Kaneohe for years now and really liked this barbershop when I first moved to the windward side. About a year ago I had my first bad taste... I was getting a haircut and my barber was apparently more concerned with his conversation than my haircut and messed me up... Right before a trip too. Thanks bro! However I've had other great haircuts here but I was hesitant to come back as the times before this I wasn't really feeling the atmosphere. Yesterday I figured it's time to get cleaned up, I'd give them another shot, so I scheduled an appointment online for a haircut today. Traffic from town was bad, due to flash floods and a accident. I was delayed 50 mins from town to Kaneohe. I called the shop 10 minutes before my appointment to let them know I may be up to 5 minutes late. The barber then told me it'd be a fee of $10. I explained the situation, called to give them notice and arrived 3 mins late and they still wouldn't cut my hair without paying the $10 fee. $10 for a few mins late?!?!? I get punctuality (& time is money) but at this point it's not even about money it's simply the principle. To top it off the barber that was scheduled to cut my hair was still finishing up his previous cut... I guess arguing over the fee is more important then a $40 haircut to these guys... I can't think of another business with this policy.. My doctor, masseuse, mechanic, or any other profession would never do that. Needless to say I've had one too many bad experiences and I will not be coming back. 0/10 but some tips if you do go here... 1. you have to schedule an appointment even if the place is empty at 1pm on a Tuesday, they won't take you... "gotta do it online" 2. get there really early for your appointment to avoid any late fee drama. 3. expect some great customer service from these guys! Lol Today I ended up at Tina's barbershop without an appointment, the place is not boujee like Faded Hawaii but Tina is amazing, quick and 1/3 the price. read more

My husband got a haircut and beard trim a few weeks ago, and I am SO happy with the result, even a month later! His unruly beard was just too much for me, making him look messy and mean all the time. I finally convinced him to do a "man salon experience" as I call it, and he came home looking clean, fresh, sexy.. all the things a wife wants from her bearded hubby. Best part is that he enjoyed the experience and will be going back for trims and fades! Thank you Faded Hawaii for giving me my handsome husband back! read more

I was looking for a barber shop on the Windward side that did some decent work on razor fades and Faded Hawaii did more than just a fade, they hooked my son up with some skills on the clippers. Good thing I checked out the Yelp review online and Faded Hawaii was the only place that was rated as the best. I checked out their website and made an appointment with Mani. They're located right across the street from the Windward Mall on the 2nd Floor with street parking available. You could also park at the mall just to be safe from being towed away. You could see looking out the 2nd floor window of Faded Hawaii, the mall parking lot if you're that paranoid. As my son and I walked into door 201 at the top of the stairs on your left, Our Barber Mani greeted us and was very welcoming. Faded Hawaii has a nice clean and classy look to it with a nice sound system and big screen to jam out to while you wait. We brought in a photo online of the type of haircut my son wanted and Mani did his magic on the clippers and did more than what was expected. Mani took his time and never once rushed the haircut. We brought a photo in to go off of and he made it better than what we saw online. Straight up skills is all I could say. Came in requesting for something out of the ordinary and came out looking fresh. Recommend military personnel stop on by Faded Hawaii as well. They've got line ups and fades down easy. Great atmosphere and skilled barbers. They'll definitely hook you up for sure. Much Mahalos Mani. You made our first visit worth it and most definitely not going to be our last. read more

Stopped going to Mojo Barbershop ever since they got rid of their Mojo Mondays' $25 special. Not feelin like dropping $35 on a fade every two weeks... But, after searching on Instagram for dope Hawaii barbers I found this spot in Kaneohe. It's thirty minutes further away, but after two consistent visits to Faded Hawaii I can confirm that it's worth the drive. More of a laid back vibe for sure, they're usually bumpin some laid back hip-hop. Other times, there's Netflix playing in the back on their huge TV, or ESPN. My first visit I had Elijah, their newest barber. But don't let that fool you... 45 minutes later, my fade was tight and lines were on point. Exactly two weeks later, I've converted. Eli really takes the time to get to know what his clients want done and is an all-around chill dude. Highly recommended. A combover fade style with hard part runs $25 plus tax. You won't find prices listed because they vary by cut and I think it ranges from $20-$30. Make an appointment and you won't be disappointed!
