I brought my car in to change 02 sensor that I brought in box brand new and mike charged me $75 cash or $85 card car was running rough and idling high and Darwin broke my harness connector and didn't completely connect it he used a zip tie and the connection wasn't connected now my catalytic converter is fried. I went under the car myself and saw it was holding half way by a zip tie. It's sad that I'm walking now and there not even effected by the incomplete job. I can't say enough about this shop-specifically the preeminent Mercedes-Benz virtuoso technician, Darwin. His honesty and savvy have helped me immensely on several occasions. I defy anyone to name a shop, much less a dealership, where both price and quality of service are superior to Mike's. They've replaced my A/C blower motor, thermostat, and heater control valve at a fraction of the cost of all other local shops in the South Bay and did there superior work in a timely manner. Nice friendly service. Had an issue with my car stopped by and they took care of it. Had the car there for almost 2 weeks since I was out of the Country . When I picked it up they needed to jump start it.( was told it stood too long, yeah sure, I fly for a living and my car is parked all the time for longer periods, plus the battery is fairly new) . No battery issues since then either. Then after I left the lot, I stoped the car, opened the hood just to make sure there were no more leaks and discovered the engine splash guard/lower engine cover was missing. Drove right away back and they first were like, "was there one?? " I said yes , absolutely . After several minutes they produced the missing cover and re-Installed it. They apologized. I've been taking my cars here for 20 years and implicitly trust them to do the repairs correctly and to never, ever overcharge. They will explain in detail what needs to be done and are happy to tell you how much it will cost and never try to sell you repairs you haven't requested. If something else is discovered wrong or worn they'll call and let you know and will not insist it be repaired, just advise the customer. I went in not knowing the transmission on my 05 BMW 745li was going out. One of mechanics did a valve body job to see if that would save some money. He did recommend full transmission job. Car lasted two days. The staff was very understanding regarding my situation. Then I knew the transmission was failing. He shaved off the price for the full transmission. I appreciate their customer service and empathy. The owner was cool about it. The car has been running well since. I highly recommend this place for foreign car service. read more

I'm so angry....that I didn't go to Mike's repair shop sooner. I must have passed by the place twice a week for 10 years before I finally decided to stop in. Not only did Mike's fix my oil leak for less than the quickie oil change place down the street, he showed me proof that the quickie oil place down the street never changed my filter, even though I paid over $100 for them to do so a few months earlier. I stopped by Mike's a second time when a mysterious service light came on. Five seconds later it was fixed. They didn't charge me. What I like most about Mike's is they take pride in their work. I have a 1979 FIAT X 1/9 that had a rough running engine. I called, spoke to Mike, and asked if he had experience with old FIATS or was at least willing to look at it. Mike's reply was that in his home country, all they had were FIATS and that his first speeding ticket in the USA was in a FIAT X 1/9. I immediately had a high comfort level just talking to Mike on the phone. I dropped the car off early in the morning and Mike called me mid-morning to tell me what he had uncovered so far. He called me later about noon to ask if I could come over to see something. Fortunately his shop was only about 5 miles away and he showed me where a leaky intake manifold gasket was letting antifreeze leak into one of the cylinders. This type of communication is OUTSTANDING. I went to pick up the car the next day. Although it didn't really need it, he had also painted the air filter housing. When I arrived, he said let's go for a test drive so you can see if the engine was running smoothly or not. Who does that for you anymore? He had done a number of things and had it purring like a cat and running smoothly. I was shocked to see his bill. It was less than half of what I was expecting. He also pointed out some items, such as motor mounts that I already knew about that needed attention. Mike's my man from now on. read more
