Mike of Mike's Deli has been in business for over 30 years at the same location. They are a landmark on route 34 in Wall Township. The place is always full for breakfast, lunch and take out. It's a full-service sandwich shop. There are only about five tables for eat-in; yes, the place is on the small side. Prices are very reasonable. Mike's is awesome. The cold cuts are fresh, the salads are fresh... try their freshly made egg salad. The fries come out piping hot and yes those friendly guys behind the counter. I'm Impressed.. I only wish I lived closer so i can try it out more often. Have a remote office across the street. When I'm HERE, you know I'll be THERE! It's great to visit a real sandwich shop. Great place to catch a "Business Man's Special" on the corner TV. Friendly service and the best hoagie/grinder/sub (personally I say hoagie) shop around. If I'm not ordering an Italian hoagie with hot pepper spread, my go-to lunch fix is a chicken salad on toasted rye. Cash ONLY. They have and ATM but it's frisky and sometimes rejects your card or takes up to 5 minutes (not exaggerating) to spit out your dough. I started to get the feeling that Mike's was going to be a good place for a cold cut grinder when I saw that they called them "grinders." This suspicion was confirmed by the fact that all of their sandwiches seemed to list provolone, as opposed to American or just "cheese." If there had been any doubt however, it would have been vanquished when I ordered my sandwich. I'm not obese by any means, but I've packed on a few pounds. So there's no doubt that I am obviously a fully grown man. When I order a sandwich and am asked "a whole one?," I know that I'm getting a big sandwich. ...and it was a mighty big sandwich. Big doesn't always equate to good. In fact it rarely does. This was one of the rare instances in which it did, however. The deli meats were thinly sliced. The bread was a soft, but very chewy Italian loaf. The balance between the meats, the cheeses, and the bread were perfect, and the people working actually understood when I told them I didn't want vegetables. They didn't ask me some stupid question like "not even lettuce?" like the rejects at the chain places always do. Additionally, I felt a little out of place when I first got here. I'm guessing that most of the guys eating here had union cards and calluses, and I had my Manhattan-esque Hugo Boss suit, cufflinks, and my douchebag bluetooth; making me look like I had never worked a day in my life. (I have, by the way.) Everybody was super nice to me, though. I would definitely recommend Mike's Deli, and I will certainly make a point to return every time that my work takes me to the area. If I remember, which I probably won't, I'll update this review after I try one of their hot sandwiches. I can't wait. read more

Great breakfast and lunch spot! Had their sausage egg and cheese and pork roll egg and cheese sandwiches a couple weeks ago - both cooked to absolute perfection and served on fresh, delicious hard rolls. Talked my son into lunch there today - he is hooked! Their reuben is amazing as was the California cheese steak. We also shared their french fries (like McDonald's). ONLY downside is cash only - ATM inside the deli. I never carry cash, so I came prepared for today's lunch, but for the quality of these sandwiches, I won't make a fuss as they are DELICIOUS and TOTALLY WORTH IT! read more

This place is a locally owned institution. Been there forever. Very solid sandwiches. My family's go to is their sloppy joe. Loaded with turkey, roast beef, swiss, cole slaw, and russian on triple decker rye. Since Duffy's closed in Point Pleasant, this is the only place we go to for deli's. read more

Awful!!! We were overcharged for crap food!! One plain bagel with cream cheese..one porkroll w cheese sand one bacon egg cheese on Kaiser and one half ham sum was 20.06. Don't forget about the .06 cents!! We threw it away. It used to be decent food. Never again!!! read more

Go for lunch or pick it up & it will be perfect every time. If by chance you wake up on a Saturday or Sunday hungover do your self a service and get a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich with potatoes. The people in there are incredibly nice all of the time whether it be when I'm standing in the deli or ordering over the phone.
