Mike and his crew did a wonderful job on my newly installed windows. except for the height of the frames, I thought it would be a fairly simple application. This guy became violently angry when I pointed out areas that he missed and areas where they left paint on the floor. When I pointed out a bedroom carpet that had paint on it he said that carpet needed to be replaced anyway,I had no intention of replacing any carpet. read more

Not a positive experience. We are now finishing cabinets ourselves after Mike's Creative Touch left job site with spotty application of finish. Mike's team used a 6 year old can of poly urethane for our kitchen cabinets and left the can at the job site. One would think that you wouldn't have to specify use of new material to a professional. Had to call Mike back 2nd time for service and his demeanor was "this is no big deal" and he knew what was wrong. Did not take the issue or cabinet finishing seriously with an over stated position of confidence while admitting less than quality work & apologizing for the inconvenience of having to come back to do the work over. Request for Mike's to return to examine 2nd service of work and calls to him have gone unanswered for 2 weeks. As Mike shared he lives just a few minutes away and proposals for bigger jobs outstanding a 5 minute drive would seem reasonable. read more

Mike and Peter from Mike's Creative Touch did an excellent job repairing nail pops on our ceiling and patching holes in our walls. Mike's help with color suggestions and paint types contributed to a beautifully finished paint job. Peter and Mike finished in the estimated time frame and cleaned up perfectly before they left. Contrary to any of the reviews I'm reading (after the fact), my experience with this company has been nothing but pleasant. Mike and his team did an amazing job on my water damaged ceiling and they used their own plumber as well. I found it convenient that they were all able to work together on the same time frame and complete the job. i have a 2 year old and 2 large dogs and my overly curious son frequently popped behind the plastic entrance to see the work. Rather than send my child away, Lucky and Mike both took the time to talk to him and show him what they were doing, even going so far as to setting up a bench for him to sit on and watch. As far as the repair, Mike did not Hesitate to fix anything that wasn't up to his own standards. he even repaired a small chip on my corner wall I've been looking at for over a year. My ceiling itself now looks better than it ever did! read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. My parents are having their house painted by this company. I am a night shift nurse and came to my parents to take a quick nap and wait for my 2 year old (they had babysat) to wake up. When I got to their house, there was already a painter at their house taping and getting ready to move on to the next room. Owner was nowhere to be found. I was awoken about 45 minutes later by loud yelling. I went out into the hall to see what was going on to overhear an angry loud voice yelling at the painter who had been at my parents house earlier setting up. The owner was speaking to his employee in a very derogatory and rude fashion, yelling "get over here! Get over here NOW!" as if the painter was a dog or a small child (no, scratch that, I would never speak to an animal or a child in this manner). He began to yell at the painter regarding the bathroom being left messy from yesterday. He was mocking his employee, mimicking what he said "but I cleaned", and then began to yell "cleaned what?!? There is paint on the toilet, paint on the sink, there's fucking paint everywhere!" At this point, my grandmother's caregiver went downstairs to tell him to stop, that my 2 year old was sleeping and that I had been woken up by his screaming. He stopped screaming and changed his tune, now aware of another person in the house. In a much calmer fashion, told his employee "I know I leave you alone a lot (my Nana's caregiver reports that he leaves between 10-12 every day and leaves one person to paint a large house with no help whatsoever), but you gotta straighten up. This shit ain't going to fly with me". He then stated "where's the fucking thermostat? I'm dying here". My Nana's caregiver informed me that this man had the audacity to scream at her about my Nana's oxygen tubing being in his way at one point. The work does leave something to be desired, but maybe if one man wasn't left alone to fend for himself all day, it wouldn't be so challenging. I cannot, in good conscience, endorse a company so horrible to it's employees, with an owner who has the audacity to scream at the caretaker of an 83 year old woman about oxygen tubing, and an owner who would enter another persons home and degrade and belittle someone so horribly without a care for who was present to witness it. read more

Mike did our drywall, tile, and painted our whole house. He gave us a very fair price. Started when he promised and finished early. They did a great job and took care of other small things for us outside the scope of work. Highly recommend!! read more

A tale about how my "no problem, it's a easy job" doubled in price and time. So after utilizing another site to seek recommendations, shame on me for now using Yelp, I found this provider who seemed nice enough and is local. He was confident the job would take 2 maybe 3 days, in fact he was so confident that he dropped the price!! Well, you know what they say, if something seems to good to be it most likely is... *Mike showed up with his young apprentice, ok cool the guy is taking on someone who wants to learn, however my family quickly realized apprentice is slang for "whipping boy." Mike preceded to berate this kid for 5 days in my house with my wife and I trying to work anywhere we could hide from the noise. That being said, the kid had no clue and with Mike's piss poor direction it made for shoddy work *Ahhhhh the "Bait and Switch!!!" We requested a quote to paint our family room in addition to painting of window casings and baseboards. After about two hours in on his first day, I'm told that windows here and there weren't included on the quote, etc. You get the idea! * "THE FINISHED PRODUCT!" Finished is really a relative term when you're describing what I have to live with, there were spots that just were never done. Let's review: *Walls around skylights WERE NEVER PAINTED!! That's why I hired you!! * The baseboards have drips of wall paint all over *The trim around the windows is terrible, they never sanded between coats which means the brush stokes pop out with a semi-gloss. When confronted with this I was told "well, you didn't say you wanted them sprayed smooth" * Finally the cleanup, horrendous is the only word I can come up with. Paint on the wood floors, paint on the windows, doors, there was paint tracked through the garage on to the driveway!! Thanks for reading but I'd move on to someone else and FAST! read more
