Mr. Abate was very prompt in getting back to me for an estimate. I took off the day from work to let him see what needs to be done and he arrived on time. After the initial visit, I thought I would get an estimate in a few days, a week at the latest. However, I got no estimate. After a week, I emailed Mr. Abate after the holiday, thinking that it's a busy time for families and to take that into consideration. He replied, stating that he would get the estimate to me the following day. I told him to take his time, thinking that another week would be the maximum time that I would have to wait. Unfortunately, it's been about a month, and I still haven't received an estimate. I didn't bother reminding him again because I can take a hint. That's fine, if you don't want to do a job, just let the potential client know, so we can find someone else. I wanted to get the paint job done before some medical considerations and even getting to this point was a big deal for me due to some health issues, but I will have to delay a new paint job for a few months now because of the delay in getting the estimate back.

I explained that it went beyond painting. I had some wood that needed replacing. Cory walked slowly and deliberately around the house, both inside and out and gave me a detailed quote with a couple of options. We aligned and agreed on a date. Cory and his team arrived on that date, and worked for several days over the following 2 weeks. Each time, if I were home, he asked me to review. He nearly got everything perfect; I was greatly impressed with the cleaning, sanding, wood replacement, and painting. The two painters finished my son's room with primer and two coats in less than 3 hours. There were also a few (3) minor dings that they quickly put caulk stuff over and even gave me a piece of sandpaper to smooth it out when it dries. I'm stating this because this is an example of going above and beyond the call of duty. They didn't have to do that for me, but they did - at no charge.
