My only knock is that I didn't get a call or email the day before to confirm service. They kinda just showed up. BUT I'm not deducting any points because they showed up one time at the agreed-upon time. The painter came in and was very polite. Everyone wore shoe booties. We did a quick walkthrough. The two painters finished my son's room with primer and two coats in less than 3 hours. There were also a few (3) minor dings that they quickly put caulk stuff over and even gave me a piece of sandpaper to smooth it out when it dries. I'm stating this because this is an example of going above and beyond the call of duty. They didn't have to do that for me, but they did - at no charge. 10/10; would highly recommend! I hired Cory and his team at One Vision Painting when I moved into a new house and needed essentially all the walls in the new house painted before we move in. Initial contact: Cory was extremely responsive when I reached out through Yelp. We emailed back and forth for him to gather the info needed to prepare the quote, and he was one of the quickest companies to provide the quote among those I reached out to. It was easy to align with Cory on details, sign the contract digitally, and make a digital deposit. Price: I chose One Vision because they were the mid-price option (others were higher and others were lower), but it was evident from me from the beginning that they took the work more seriously and would deliver a more excellent product than any of the cheaper options. That was validated in my experience with them 100 times over. The project ended exactly on budget and as expected, and the cost was very much worth the final product. Doing the work: When it came time for the work to be done, Cory and his team were excellent, a word that I don't use lightly. They were extremely diligent in making sure they 1000% understood our somewhat complicated set of requests, they cleaned up every day after their work was finished for the day, they arrived and left during the windows they told us ahead of time each day, etc. Everything went exactly as expected with no issues. The painting was BEAUTIFUL and transformed our house. The fact that they only used premium quality paint really showed in the final product. Every line was crisp, every corner was perfectly done. I really can't say enough about how perfectly the painting was done, even with such a large project. But that's not even the best part.... Service: Cory ruly they went above and beyond from a service perspective. First, Cory the owner himself was there painting with the team every day. That is a huge deal to me. I can't tell you how many times I've hired home vendors where the owner or sales person is amazing but the crew is unclear on the instructions or not nearly as committed to a good experience... not the case here. I think the quality was excellent because Cory was there doing it himself and overseeing his team to make sure the work product met his (high!) expectations. I didn't expect him to be so hands on and it was a game changer. Second, I had a fairly long commute to the house being painted because we hadn't moved in yet and Cory offered to hold onto a key that he would keep safe so that I wouldn't need to be there every morning to let him in. That hadn't even occurred to me as an option and it was honestly life changing during a period of chaos leading up to moving into the new house. Third, when I did pop in at various times during the painting days, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they treated my house with a lot of care and respect, carefully ensuring not a drop of paint went anywhere other than the walls by covering the floorsz etc. I was like, is this what it feels like to interact with a whole crew of professional painters?! The best. Third, Cory was easy to communicate with via text for any questions I had for him during painting or any questions he had for me. But the big above and beyond thing was that he texted me to flag that there was water starting to come in from my basement sunk pump after heavy storms the night before; him letting me know and doing so promptly saved me from an huge flooding issue, as I was able to fix it and clean it up immediately without further flood damage. Literally a lifesaver. Overall: This was one of the best home vendor experiences I've ever had. I have recommended Cory and the One Vision team to so several friends and neighbors already, and I'll only ever use One Vision for my painting needs in the future. Cory Bucy and One Vision Painting If this review can help another homeowner avoid grief and avoid losing money then it'll be worth the energy. After interviewing and receiving quotes from 6 contractors (2 in person and 4 over the phone) we had decided on Cory Bucy whom came in person. We needed repair work done on our walls in a bedroom that we were hoping to turn into an area for remote learning/office. At first, Cory seemed honest and professional. He provided recommendations, and when asked to take precautions because of COVID he obliged. His pricing was also more competitive than others, and had 5 stars reviews on Yelp so we felt confident in our choice. On Friday, September 25, 2020 Cory and one other crew member with One Vision Painting started the the job. We decided on having new drywalls put up, new baseboards installed and painting of the entire walls and ceiling. The work was completed on Thursday, October 1, 2020. During the job Cory communicated that we would need double drywall for our larger wall and that it would cost extra should we want to proceed. We agreed to move forward. What we ended up with was very poor workmanship. Cory left us with a gap between the floor and the wall of where the double drywall should be, our electric socket/outlet protruding out of that same wall, the other outlet areas were not cut to fit our faceplates (which we had provided for measurement), and all 3 outlet cutouts were crumbling, there are cracks from floor to ceiling of the area behind our door, crack in the ceiling by our closet, the baseboard is a completely different style and size from our previous baseboard (the one installed is a lot thicker which I assume was a poor attempt to hide the gap between the wall and the floor), and the baseboard installation was very sloppy as well. Photos provided. It cost us $1710. We reached out to Cory and provided photos of the problem areas. He said he's willing to sand, patch and paint where needed, but there's nothing he can do for the gap between our wall and floor, the protruding electric socket/outlet and the other sockets/outlets that did not fit our faceplate. This communication was through text. I responded that I still had concerns and would like to schedule a time to discuss. I did not hear back from him. After 5 days I reached out again via text. This time I came up with 3 solutions on how we can move forward (he can pay someone to fix the problem areas, fix it all himself or refund us). We also communicated that we were open to any solutions he may have. He told us we were "ridiculous" for asking for a refund. We asked him why he didn't bring any of this up to our attention during the job. He then ignored all of our future texts. Accountability matters. Integrity matters. Cory Bucy and One Vision painting lack both in our experience with him and his company. --------- In response to Cory's Comment to this review: Cory - I'm glad you decided to respond seeing that you haven't responded to our last texts from October. Maybe you'll answer the question that we asked then and I'll repeat again now - Was there a reason why these issues were not brought up to our attention during and immediately after the job was completed? The job took several days and not once did you communicate that you came upon any of these issues. We hired you with the reasonable expectation of having our walls fixed, baseboard installed and room painted in a professional manner, not to damage our property making it an unsafe room to occupy, and then not take accountability for. It's reasonable of us to ask that you take care of damages that you've created. Prior to your work our outlet was not protruding nor did we have a gap between our floor and wall, and the many cracks throughout the room. It's also reasonable to ask that you communicate with us of any issues that arises during the job and that you remained transparent with your work. We had initially agreed for you to come back on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. You did not show up nor let us know that you were no longer coming. When we reached out again to come up with a resolution you ignored us. Your offer to come out now (5 months later) after I've written this review feels disingenuous. After the way you've treated our home, the way you've treated us and the way you handled this situation we do not feel comfortable nor trust for you to come back. I wouldn't take initial professionalism for quality workmanship. We were initially excited thanks to good reviews and his politeness but are disappointed in the quality and care of the work. Cory and team took out outlets and broke our blinds - did not screw the outlets back in or adjust the blinds. Here are just a few after pictures. We also asked the team to paint the entire kitchen and to our surprise only half was painted... they made US feel bad about asking them to complete the job even though they came a whole week later. Cory came back but did a half job, painted 1 coat and left in a hurry? Don't even expect them to fill basic holes in the wall before they put a coat of paint on. Though their prices are competitive, they'll use it as an excuse to do a half job. We wish we had just spent the extra few hundreds for a more professional team. read more

Very impressed with One Vision Painting! I had 4 consultations and my gut feeling was right. I had my concrete ceilings painted, my kitchen and bathroom cabinets done. The concrete ceiling was a huge project and it made me nervous to paint them. Cory and his team prepped my place perfectly and used spray tools to get the industrial ceilings (including hvac ducts and electric lines) primed and painted very well. Because they are industrial they do have crevasses and indentations, but I have no regrets going super white with the paint (it totally brightened up my small condo). My cabinets were removed and organized (pics below) to prep them. One Vision sprayed them w/ primer and paint, they have a flawless finish- which they call factory. I didn't realize that Cory would paint the inside of the cabinet doors (which is a plus). Since their completion, I've urged other friends and family to call on Cory at One Vision for estimates and I plan on using him for all my projects. Detailed, creative, neat, strong, are key words I'd use to describe Cory and his team. I trusted his judgement with some colors and you would too. Cory provided a detailed quote, was highly communicative, helped figure out how much paint we needed, and provided an update at the end of each day of work.
