I'm going to be embarrased if I find out that it's Maola or something, but the coconut was the coconuttiest ice cream I've ever had. Peppermint was also yummy (and hard to find outside of Christmas season). We preferred this ice cream shop to the "big" ice cream store on the island (Sand Dollar). One tip, a single kid scoop is $4, but a double scoop (which I think they call a "small"?) is $5. Go for the $5 serving!

There were maybe 6-8 flavors available, including vanilla, chocolate, peppermint, coconut, key lime. It's expensive. One "kiddie" scoop was almost 4 dollars. A milkshake was $6.99. My sister ordered a vanilla milkshake (boring but should have been amazing for $7) and said it was average. I grabbed one of their sandwiches from inside of the Maritime Market. I'm posting a picture, but they are not available at the window. The Key Lime and Chocolate Peppermint ones were both delicious.

The iced chai latte was good most of the time, but it was somewhat inconsistent (My sister's and mine tasted different on the same visit.). I do not recommend the white chocolate raspberry latte. But my favorite was the s'mores latte, which I remembered from my last trip here. It has chocolate, cinnamon, and marshmallow flavoring. The customer service was hit or miss. It was noticeably bad one morning, but there seemed to be a new worker at the register which slowed up the line considerably. The customer interactions could be improved as well as consistency with the drinks, but I like the Sandpiper a lot.

You can tell they stay busy during the height of vacation season as people kept coming in and out picking up bundles. We started off with some gyoza and honestly, it was delicious. Both the dumplings themselves and the sauce they came with. We could have downed four orders of them alone. I ordered an udon noodle based dish which right now I can't remember the exact name of, and it was a little plain for me. Adding sriracha helped significantly, but on it's own, it did not excite me to eat. The sauce was thin and didn't real absorb into anything or stick to anything. Very watery. I think I'd go in a different direction next time, maybe try a curry. Overall, solid enough for the price, but I really wish Indochine still had their outpost nearby in Southport.
