My wife and I have recently moved to Amherst Village and because Mikes Auto is so close I decided to give them a try. I first had an oil change done and was very happy with the turn around time and extremely friendly service. Re very next day I was stopped by a cop who said my vehicle inspection was out of date and that I had to get it done the same day. I brought my car here and they took over a month to even LOOK at my car. They even admitted to working on a car that came in after mine. This place sucks. Unless you are wealthy and have a nice car. If not you'll be ignored and put on the back burner. Thumbs down. And also it's going on two months these assholes have had my car it only needed a new radiator. So judge for yourselves. read more

Not sure what happened to this place over the years but it went down the tubes fast. My mother In law brought her 4 Year Old Grand Cherokee in there for a oil change, They told here it needed over $1500 work. The jeep only has 23800 miles She called me to ask my option since I have had a few of my Vehicles serviced there over the years, I was surprised with the low miles it needed that much work. I Told her to bring it back to Contemporary where she purchased it new and get a second option. The Jeep dealership looked at the jeep and said NONE of the work needed to be done! They checked it from front to back. Shame on your people for trying to take advantage and telling Lies to Her. I would be very careful doing business with them read more

I went here a few months ago to have some work done on my car only to spend over $2,000 and the main issue with my breaks never to be resolved. I described the issue with the breaks and they tested it. They replaced the breaks and rotors, and informed me after all the work was done that the tube that brings break fluid to the break was old and cracked and should be replaced. I didn't have any more money so had to wait. But the next couple days it drove fine but then the breaks started making the same sound as before. The issue seemed to be that tube but they instead replaced my breaks and rotors which was really pricey. I am a first time car owner, a young woman, and i realized they probably took advantage of me. It took all the money i had saved and the issue was still there and I have no options or money to fix it even now. Only reason i went here was because of the reviews online, big mistake. They probably thought I was some college kid with my parents paying for my car when actually I am a full time student independent from them. So this service left me with my whole savings cleared out, an unresolved issue, and no other option. Had they replaced the tube instead of the breaks, it probably would be fine now and it wouldn't have cost so much. I would recommend being careful here or not doing business here, i was fooled by the reviews and by how nice she sounded. read more

Mike is extremely thorough and will take as much time as something needs to be done right. I live in Minnesota, over 1,400 miles from Mike's shop and needed a trustworthy mechanic for a used car inspection on a car with unusually low mileage that I was considering to purchase at a car dealership located in Northern Massachussetts. After finding Mike's Auto Service on Angie's List and talking with Micki, Mike's wife, I knew I was dealing with trustworthy people. The next day they both went to the dealership, test drove the car 30 miles to and from their shop to the dealership. They put the car up on their lift where they discovered that the rear stabilizer links and bushings needed to be replaced, which would have cost me $200 to $300. The dealership was happy to replace the parts for the original sales price and I had the peace of mind to purchase the car from half-way across the US.
