I've now taken 4 vehicles there, and every time on EVERY VEHICLE, this shop has diagnosed and repaired or serviced all my vehicles to my high satisfaction. This is a 1-owner small business, and despite the fact that I'm nowhere near his location-- it's worth the miles to drive here. I've read Sam P's comments, and am certain his story is likely due to a hired employee at the time (no longer there) - you DO realize the difficulty to find and retain good qualified technicians, right? That said: I highly recommend RAC to you for your foreign or domestic vehicles. I'm about to take my 5th one there for needed service. Here's an unusual example, kinda off the regular path: My Ford Van was throwing an error alarm 2 shops were unable to correct. RAC and Richard had it for a cupl days and found of all things; a rusty lock switch in the rear of the rig was causing spurrious signals to be sent to the main processor. Switch fixed...alarm solved.

If anyone knows the trouble of finding a trustworthy shop to go to for vehicles, I totally understand. I heard quite the buzz about Brian's a few weeks back, and decided to jump on the bandwagon to get some service done to the truck, and low and behold, I was not ripped off. Hard to come by, and I know we sometimes think this way, but I was surprised to take my truck in, and the mechanic not tell me that I have $1,000 of work that was ahead of him. No sir, this shop was professional, quick to call my cell, with a true diagnostic, and with what I paid for my truck to get a sensor fixed, was very reasonable. There is no question that we have found our shop to go to in the future. Good customer service, quality assurance was spot on, and a good feeling after paying for service. But that's exactly what happened at Maverick Motors--and it wasn't because they didn't do anything. It was because they went above and beyond, and then some. My check engine light came on, and I brought Jeepey in hoping for a quick fix. Things took a little longer than expected, but what impressed me was the way they kept at it. They put in serious time, effort, and even a bit of creativity to diagnose and fix the issue. And interestingly enough--after all that? No charge. That kind of integrity is rare. In a world where most shops would slap on a fee just for breathing near your vehicle, Maverick Motors stands out. They looked out for me, explained things without making me feel dumb, and genuinely had my back when I had zero clue what was going on. If you want a shop that's skilled, honest, and full of heart--this is it. Maverick Motors has earned a loyal customer, and I'll be sending everyone I know their way.

We were not driving the van as we were having huge snowstorms and the van was covered with 10" of snow. My husband and I are retired and did not have to go anywhere in the van. We also have 3 other vehicles that have 4 wheel drive. I finally took the van back on Feb 4th, and found it had a faulty valve stem which Boyd fixed. At that time they told me I needed the right lower ball joint replaced for $822. They did not mention that when I bought the tires. I went to buy the ball joint and was told that Boyd could not have done a front end alignment with a bad ball joint. I asked Boyd about it and they said that was correct, but acted like I ruined it after I got the alignment. That's when I went to check the mileage on the van. We usually put about 2500-3000 miles per year on our van. The speedometer said that we had put almost 600 miles on the van in less than 3 weeks while we had not been driving the van. They had listed the mileage as more than 500 miles less than we had started with. They said that was a typo, but was it? If they take 500 miles off of every customer's mileage, then if you have a problem with your tires, they will say that you have put 500 miles more on the tires than you actually did. They agreed to refund my money for the front end alignment, but it has been over 2 months and every time I call them it's the same story. The check will be coming from the main office. It should have been here in a week. It's been 8 weeks and no check. Make sure you che k your mileage before you buy tires and do not ask them for a front end alignment.
