Every message I have left him many twice a week for 6 weeks until this I still haven't got a call back. So that call center really SUCKS. The shot room managment is efficient and I enjoy brief chats with everyone in the back that gives shots. The front desk staff and billing has always worked with me if I had questions or needed help figuring with insurance. Dr. Hayden and Ben explain things well and will take time to answer questions you have. Anna is my favorite front desk person and I normally go to her as first choice. I live in Granbury, but the closest urgent care is Tricities. We've been to this location a few…read moretimes in the last year and had a good experience. Not so much this time. When my son developed a sudden cough on a Friday night, I checked the website to make sure Tricities had rapid Covid tests (it said they did, right on the landing page), and then drove 45 minutes to get him checked out. When I walked in, I was directed to a posted sign that said the office was out of rapid Covid tests. Okay, fine. Annoying that only people coming into the clinic would find that out, but I could take him somewhere else for that part. I said I would just get my son checked out to make sure nothing else was going on. Then I was informed that due to a "new policy", I needed prior authorization from our doctor to have him seen because of our HMO plan. The reason I brought him to urgent care is because it's the weekend and his doctor's office is closed. Thus, the "urgent" part. What's the point of an after-hours urgent facility if you need paperwork from your regular doctor to be seen there?! To top it all off, the receptionist was curt, unfeeling, and seemed almost triumphant that as she pointed out each new piece of information. Some suggestions: 1. If there aren't any rapid Covid tests, then that information should be posted on the website, perhaps on the landing page that claims there are rapid Covid tests. 2. A new policy that affects a large group, such as those with HMO insurance, should also be posted on the website. 3. A receptionist with a shred of friendliness sure would be a nice addition to the front desk. I can assure you we won't be back.

With that being said, I know things can be busy or staffed and be shorthanded, but I'm not sure if that was the case. From the moment I walked in for my 1st appointment I felt very unwelcome! The receptionist barely acknowledged me was short unfriendly and almost seemed just irritated to be there. I have excellent insurance and I'm ver knowledgeable with insurance. She just told me my copay was $99 with no explanation, to me that was more than normal but I paid and will confirm with my ins EOB the costs. One of the responsibilities of a receptionist or front office is to set a 1st impression of a practice and this was a big failure on her part. The nurse that took my vitals was pleasant, the PA was great, knowledgeable and explained everything well. The second nurse that took my blood was outgoing and friendly, this gave me hope about my future appointments. I scheduled my follow up for a week later to review my results. On my second appointment there was a different receptionist and she was more pleasant. I was brought back quickly and a new nurse came in took my BP and explain another provider was here today than the normal one. She left saying she'd be in shortly. I waited 50 minutes no one ever came check in on me or explain why I was waiting so long! I would have been ok if someone came in, apologized for the wait and gave me an update but that never happened. After a hour of nothing I went to the front office and asked for a copy of my test results and said I've been waiting a hour no one has come in, I'll find another office. I was more shocked by the total lack of professionalism when she never once apologized and just printed my results out and handed them to me. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. It's a corporate medical office and you would think they'd have better trading in place for their team. This was my worst experience ever and I still don't know what I paid for? Update!!!! As I thought I received my EOB today and they charge my ins more than $800 for a visit with a PA and blood work. Per my EBO I was only to pay $24. I'm not dealing with these people that abuse medical billing codes. I'm filling a complaint wit BCBS. I'll let them deal with their billing department. Always check your benefits and EOB most of these large Corp managed care facilities are run by business people that expect you not to catch their misuse of billing!

They called me 15 minutes before i arrived and said they didn't treat what I was coming for. My annoyance is with it being scheduled for a month as a new patient how they didn't look at that until 15 minutes before but wanted to continue to send me messages about all the forms I needed to fill out which I did the first time they sent it so I'm not sure why they continued to message me after all forms were completed. So I do not recommend this office as they don't seem to know what they are doing and going to a cancel an appointment 15 minutes before someone arrives.
