Sorry for the uber late review. Terribly sorry! My husband and I got married in October of 2012. We had been shopping for linen rentals from various companies with poor business etiquette and ridiculous pricing for crappy quality linen material. Just when we're about to give up, I stumbled across her business ad online and gave her a call right away. She was so flexible and able to meet with us right away. My experience was very much like others who has had great encounter with her. She welcomed us with warmth and smile. Interested in what we have in mind of our dream wedding, colors, choices of linen, designs, etc... very practical and thorough, gave us really good advice and try to work within our budget. As Phoebe C mentioned, her pricing was very reasonable especially for the best quality of service and product!! Also, I had an assigned coordinator from hell from our wedding venue. Gloria took the time and contact her with set up time and detail days before the wedding. (because our coordinator can't seem to do her job right and takes at least a week to get back to me) Her staff did an awesome job setting up. Our reception looked amazing! The guy was on-time to clean up as well. All in all, Gloria is one of the most genuine, sweetest and nicest person I've work with. She's really good at what she does and I highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you Gloria!!!!! read more

Made an online order for linen rentals for a big party. I was notified to pick up linens on Thursday between 10-4, I arrived at the Irvine location at 12pm, no one was at the office, I called the main office and they put me on hold, then they told me that the person who was supposed to be at the Irvine office stepped out for a while and told me to wait 30 minutes until she came back. I am still in my car waiting for someone to arrive. Very unprofessional and terrible service. If you want anxiety about whether or not you will get your party linens on time go to this place, but I suggest you go to another place. read more

We rented an 8x8 gold hexagon arch and 10x10 pipe/drape backdrop for our wedding reception. There was only an hour and a half of set up time allowed before our event so it was crucial that we received the rentals on time because our florist would be using their arch. Staff at Mikasa by Stephanie's Linens came exactly on time and were very prompt with set up. They also arrived on time at the end of the event to pick up the rentals. The communication and coordination of this rental via email with the staff was EXCELLENT - I appreciated the extremely quick responses and patience with my many questions. The arch and backdrop looked great for our sweetheart table. Working with this team was very smooth and I highly recommend them! read more

We used Mikasa for our wedding rentals and they were amazing! Everything that we ordered came on time and we even had last minute things that we had to change and they were able to accommodate us. They truly made our wedding look beautiful! read more

Mikasa by Stephanie's Linens - Party & Event Planning Near Me - Irvine, California

Yelp address is incorrect ; there's a nail salon. Made an appointment via their online portal and received a confirmation email with the correct time 12pm. Get to the appointment and they had the nerve to say it was at 10 am. I said how come, they called me and txt me to request earlier appointment, however, there was a typo but they couldn't email me? Save your time and go with plenty of professional vendors around the area. Notice the old reviews from years ago but nothing recently. read more

So the owner responded to my friend's email and gave us a $100 discount vs the $25 the previously gave us. I appreciate the response. After the cloths were on the tables with the round mirrors we also rented, the shower was a success! The linens gave the shower a very classy and sophisticated look. If I ever book with this company again, I would receive them the day before so this doesn't happen again. read more

I cannot rave enough about Stephanie and her amazing services! They are kind, extremely helpful and great listeners! Their prices are extremely reasonable and their selection is FANTASTIC. Thank you, Stephanie! read more

Gloria is truly the best at what she does in her industry. We had done some shopping for some linens for our upcoming wedding. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon, and she stayed past her closing time to help us with what we needed. We decided right there that we were done with our shopping. We ultimately went with her, and even though we did not place a large order, she still took the time to help us with suggestions on what we can do to make our wedding prettier. I hope this review helps others find her, and always call to make an appointment. She is amazing. read more

If I could give more stars I would.... (Pictures will be posted of my linens) I just got married on Aug 12, 2012 at Greystone Mansion and had the reception at Wokcano in Santa Monica. 5 days before my wedding, I started to look for linens for my wedding. I know it was so last min so I didn't really think I was going to get a good price or pretty linens. I think I went to about 7-10 linen rental stores and just really didn't feel like they had anything unique. When I first stepped into Mikasa Fine Linens I was like wow they have so many choices. I told Gloria that my wedding was in 5 days and she was like oh my we better hurry and start picking out what you like. I had my eye on this pink overlay fabric with flowers and they only had 1 made for the cake table. So I went ahead and picked out whatever was in stock and Gloria give me the prices for them. She was going to see about making the overlay that I wanted but couldn't get a hold of the fabric person. So honestly I didn't think there was anyway they would be able to make it in time so I didn't bother asking again. I paid whatever money I had that day and told them I would come back the next day to pay the rest. So 4 days till my wedding I went to Mikasa to pay the rest of the balance but asked if I could just look around one more time to see if I sure this was what I wanted and she said of course please do. I kept going back to the same overlay with flowers and Gloria could see that I really loved that fabric. But instead of being like any other stores and avoiding to have to do extra work to make the client happy and giving them what they really wanted. Gloria went over and beyond and said she would go tomor to Los Angeles and see if they had that fabric in stock and if they do she would get it made in 3 days for my wedding. Gloria did tell me not to get too excited yet until she could confirm that they had the fabric in stock. The next day she gave me a call while she was at the fabric place and said they did have it in stock and would get it done by Sat so I could have everything in time for Sunday wedding. I couldn't believe it and was over the top happy. I had to pay an extra $10 for each table but it was so worth it because everyone was talking about the linens and how beautiful they looked. Mikasa linens prices honestly are the best and linens are such great quality. You can tell Mikasa Fine Linens doesn't only care about getting your business but wanting to truly make the clients happy. You honestly get what you pay for and what I paid didn't even come close to how beautiful the linens looked. Everyone thought I paid 2 to 3 times the price that I really did. read more

We booked Mikasa for our wedding on 9/8/18 in Laguna Beach. Mikasa was the only company that had exactly what I wanted, and for affordable prices compared to other rental vendors. Mikasa was awesome and very flexible with my schedule and what we needed. Our wedding was small and there wasn't minimum, which was great. The pricing was very reasonable and the chair covers/table cloths were provided pressed and on hangers. Gloria was responsive and very helpful- and so sweet! I will use them again in the future!! read more

Gloria was so wonderful to work with! We needed a last minute vendor for linens, and Gloria pulled through right before our wedding. My sister-in-law met with her and sent us photos of her available linens. Gloria gave us suggestions that worked with our budget and helped bring our vision to life. Even though it was the week before the wedding, she didn't take advantage of us and charge us premium prices. Thank you Gloria!! read more

I was referred to this place by the venue where we had our wedding. Gloria was very good with her words and tried to get us to spend more then we could afford from the first time I walked into her show room. Her line was that you will only get married once so spend alittle more to get exactly what you want. I was ok with all her talking and could see past it, but I was SHOCKED when she charged my credit card TWICE. We rented table linens from her for $430.00 three days before the wedding. Well, 3 days after the wedding I noticed another charge of $400.00 on my credit card from Mikasa that was made the day after the wedding. I called Gloria and inquired about the extra charge. Her response was that it was an accidental charge on my credit card, which did not make any sense! She told me to call my credit card company and have them not accept the charge because she could not cancel the charge from her end. I voiced my opinion to her about her fraudulent actions and called my credit card company. Mind you, this is one day before leaving for our honeymoon. I'm someone who keeps a close eye on my credit card charges so I was able to catch her fraudulent charge on my credit card. She is someone that CAN NOT be trusted, or she is a disorganized business owner that is not responsible with your financial information. Positve thing I can say is that we did get the linens on the wedding day and they were in good shape. read more

I would like to say that it was pleasure working with Mikasa Fine Linens (MFL) and its founder, Gloria Treybig. I came to know Ms. Treybig as my team and I were searching for linen sponsors for a wedding design project that my team and I were creating to fulfill the requirements of a wedding planning course offered by The Wedding Academy (http://theweddingacademy.net/). On my first visit to MFL, I was impressed with the show room floor, the high end inventory of fabrics, and the rental items that are available to brides. With respect to my team's final project, we felt that the items Ms. Treybig graciously sponsored to us were well suited to our needs. My team was tasked with designing an outdoor wedding ceremony at the Doubletree Hotel in San Pedro this past June, and among other things, we sought linen that would cover some large cement benches at the hotel site. Ms. Treybig responded by providing us with custom sized ivory linen that did the job perfectly. In terms of design, she recommended and supplied us with beautiful blue satin linen to serve as accents on the large ivory linen covers. As a product of her creativity and long experience, this wise design suggestion worked extremely well, as it added just the right amount of elegance and visual pop to our set up. We were very pleased with how much the linen helped transform the outdoor area that we worked with into a classy and visually appealing space. Thank you, Gloria! read more

I am a sales manager for a hotel and have to work with linen vendors frequently, I can honestly say that out of all the vendors I work with Gloria is the absolute best. No one is more accommodating or easy to work with. I highly recommend Mikasa to anyone and everyone! read more

My finace and I stumbled across Mikasa Fine Linens on a last-minute search for chair ties. Gloria welcomed us with a smile and she was just so genuine and patient with us. Gloria is one of the nicest person and just a pleasure to work with. She gave us good advice on choosing the right "pink" sash for our wedding, and she showed us how to tie the sashes in 2 different ways and made sure we practiced how to tie it the way she taught us. Now, on top of her great attitude is the PRICING! Her prices were so reasonable and made me realize how much we would have overpaid at the other place we went to. Thank you Gloria! I will recommend Mikasa to my sister and everyone I know. read more

Mikasa Linens did all of my linens, chargers, and some décor for my wedding. I couldn't have been happier. I looked at a few different vendors and Mikasa was the best pricing by far. Gloria was amazing! She was friendly, professional, and extremely responsive to all of my calls and emails. She was even so familiar with the venue where I had my wedding, she knew the exact size linens I would need for my wedding tables! She had great recommendations for the vision that I was going for. I even needed to add quite a few more items very last minute and Gloria accommodated everything that I asked for and needed. Thank you Gloria! I would recommend her to anyone and absolutely will use her again the next time I have an event. read more

Went to Mikasa today and came out as happy as I could be. Their overall price is lower than the other linen shops I been to, which motivated me to go visit them in the first place. But they don't cheap out on their stuff, all of their linens are made with top quality materials, especially the ones with sequence which I'm renting, thick, heavy and super shining, exactly what I'm looking for. Gloria and her team are wonderful people to do business with. I was presented with many choices, it was so hard to make a decision. Gloria took her time with me and laid out every single one of the linens that I picked out, I really appreciate her patience. I was in the shop for almost two hours just chatting with Gloria, she provided some great suggestions for my wedding, as well as advice for life in general, she truly is a sweet lady, this might sound weird, but I felt so at home. I'm super satisfied with my experience at Mikasa today. When you walk in the door, they don't treat you like their customer, they treat you like their friend. Therefore, 5 STARS, Strongly recommended business!!!!!!!!! read more
