Haven't used mighty wash in a while. Needed a wash so I stopped in and pulled to booth told the attendant I wanted a wash with tire shine. Went through wash and no tire shine. Stepped inside office to let employee know and she said that tire shine is broke and they should have it fixed in a few days. I asked "what does that do for me now, shouldn't the attendant have mentioned that when I asked". She printed off my receipt and wrote a note on it and sent me to 19th street location to get it done again. So I go through the 19th location only for it to apply shine on two spots on each tire. Now after hour I was running out of time. I threw my hands in the air and called it quits. I used to use them all the time. I don't know what is going on with the maintenance at their locations. Earlier today, at the Mighty Wash location of 6506 82nd Street(Lubbock), an attendant by the name of Mark was amazingly courteous and informative. He not only explained well the monthly savings plan that was offered, but he genuinely sought to understand my "hesitancy" with regard to autopay via a debit card. I told him, sincerely, that the offer itself was GOOD----yet, even better by far was the personable way that he handled our brief conversation. This review is really for the 8002 University location. What are we doing here? What's the point of this car wash? For months there has been construction to relocate the dry and vacuum area. During that time, I understood when the equipment failed to work in tip-top condition or the actually wash wasn't all that great. But now, everything seems to be where needed go, and everything is still below quality. First, why doesn't the entry way ever recognize my license plate or wash subscription sticker? Nine out of ten attempts an attendant has to come over, press the keys and lift gate. Second, why do some parts of the wash operate only some of the times I go thru the wash? I notice the small things while sitting and watching the machine work. Sometimes certain lights don't work to show off the soap suds; or sometimes a spinning cleaner isn't spinning, or moving, or doing anything; or sometimes the rinse cycle chooses to last a few seconds leaving soap all over the hood. Is the wash part of the eventual reconstruction too? Be great if they got it done. Third, why do the vacuums, commercial vacs, mind you, frequently have less force than our family's old Hoover during the Reagan administration? At least I burn extra calories going over the same area repeatedly to vacuum pieces of dirt. Fourth, apparently every person who works at a car wash hates life, the world and you. My kids had names for the regulars each time we went. Mad Olivia. Angry Jack. Hateful Harry. Flip You Off Fred. It probably is a miserable and redundant job, but must each face wear such hostilities. I'm sorry I'm there washing my car again. Sheesh. Finally, the air guns. What's the deal with these? I might as well bring a straw and blow the water out of the side mirrors. The air hardly ever works, pre and post renovations. Most of the other locations I have no complaints. Each has issues of its own, that's for sure, but specific location is awful. Again, perhaps there are additional upgrades I am not aware. If indeed that is the case, go ahead and shut down until everything is redone, up and running. At this point in time, this place is a half put-together spray and go. If you have the unlimited wash package, take advantage of it. If you are stopping by and paying, however, go somewhere else. This location will deliver the complete opposite of a "mighty" wash. read more

Plain and simple I feel like I got ripped off. The gentleman at the kiosk asked me if I wanted to sign up for a monthly service I said no but my car was dirty what did he recommend I do, he said to the $20 wash it's our best wash so I spent the $20 I normally do a $10 wash. My back hatchback is still extremely dirty I pointed out to an individual at work there and his comments were you want to run it back through I said no I do not have time. I would have expected something different I guess a refund of $10 since I told him I was not happy with the $ 20 wash. Bottom line I feel ripped off of course I've been to mighty Wash before didn't think they did a very good job my fault for going back probably won't make that mistake again. read more

Bought the best wash. Drove up and the guys just guided me in. The wash looked the same as others. Hmmmm I wonder how they knew what I paid for. I was a little confused. So I go through. There is a place that says towel dry. I park there since I paid for it. The guy doesn't see a black dot, I have to show him my receipt. They do a mediocre job and I wasn't impressed. My take: Pay for the cheapest wash and hand dry. You won't spend 21$ and get what I got. Mister Wash is probably better service wise. read more

Very impressed with Mighty Wash. I stopped in for a quick wash while we were in town and, even after the "crust" of a 300-mile drive, our car was absolutely spotless (and that was with the base wash package!). The pricing is about average and I like the automated "cashier" and easy payment stuff. Might really be worthwhile to look into their limitless wash deal, too, if you live here. I'm not giving them five stars just yet, as the kid supposed to be doing the hand-drying wasn't doing his job and I ha to wait a few minutes for him to come outside (where the cars are). But, that aside, if their service continues like this, I'll probably give them the fifth star eventually. This will be our go-to place anytime we're in Lubbock and needing a car wash, for sure! read more

In the last couple of months nothing works right. I have a wash pass but they switched to a new system and it's worse then the old one, i usually end up paying for it because it's faster. Went through wash on 09/07/22 about 1pm. This is my regular car wash for the last several years. In the past they generally have done a credible job. Wednesdays are Special Price for the regular wash. Previous time I went through, a month ago or so, it was $5 (regular price is $9). This time it was $6. A year ago it was $4; that's a 50% increase in price! Damn sure more than the rate of inflation; kind of looks like gouging. What's more, I got a real half-ass wash. Back of the vehicle looks like it wasn't touched! This is after waiting in line, with more than a dozen others, while they "detailed" the pickup ahead of me. Shut the whole line down for a good ten minutes; must have been a "friend" of one of the staff. Don't think I'm coming back to this location again; probably try another chain. read more

I usually get the Mister Carwash ExpressPlatinum @$29.95 unlimited, but had passed this new mighty wash on the south loop and quaker, thought i would check their prices. Stupid was I, the way they are set up, once your in the line to move to the kiosk to see pricing and payments, your trapped iif anyone iis behind you. There i s no selection for No Thanks i'll pass, you must purchase a wash to get out of the service line. First sign of GOTCHA, be warned. Prices were unGodly high, and wash was mediocre at best. Went to Mighty Wash yesterday and spent 18.00 on a wash. I was not impressed at all. The two boys drying did not pull the mirrors out and dry them. They were still dirty when I pulled around to dry the truck. I didn't get a cheap wash. I got the same care as the 8.00 wash. read more

Attendant gui me onto conveyor improperly causing my car to come off the track. The machine hit my car several times before that same attendant shut off the machine, came over, wiped the suds off of my window and guided me back onto the conveyor. Immediately after I got out of the tunnel I checked the damages, showed them to the manager. He basically called me a liar liar and said that his boss would check video and see if the damages were already there. 17 days went by after filing the claim and I still hadn't heard from the. I went back today and spoke with the same manager who took my claim. He disappeared for twenty minutes then came back saying his boss looked at the video, then started to say that "you walked around the car and pointed out old damages". Yet again he was calling me a liar! It's bad enough they damaged my car due to negligence and weren't going to take responsibility for it but on top of it to call me a fraudulent liar is sickening. If you go there, take video of your vehicle all the way around before enterin, otherwise when they damage your vehicle they will call you a liar. read more

I recently made a complaint about the vacuums. I received a personal phone call apologizing and reassuring me that changes were coming. Due to the attention received to this complaint, they have a customer for life. I love Mighty Wash as it is close to home and they ALWAYS leave my car clean. We have a monthly wash plan. We went a 2:45pm on 10/4/17. Thee was no one at the entrance. Had to wait for worker. Then I requested to a single upgrade wash. The employee did not know how to do that. He called for help and the other worker had no idea either. Pulled around to wash. Two guys standing talking...no spray, no wipe down with foamy brush. After all, they were talking. At the dryers, two workers. Gave a a very minimal swipe at the hood & front window of the truck. No drying of the sides and very little done on back. What is the problem???? I had a membership a couple of years ago and cancelled for some of the same issues! Guess we're at the same place once again! read more

Because Quick Quack Car Wash is closed so I got moved to Mighty Wash Membership. While the quality of the wash is better than Quick Quack's, it is more expensive and the line is always long. Three lines are formed at the payment kiosk without any assistant. There is no fast lane for members. I am not much happy with the service. Racer Car Wash seems to be a better deal for me now. read more

I would give less than 1 star. The drivers door handle was broken and we were told it was broke when we showed up. You can't open the door with the handle broken so how would we of drove the truck to get detailed. Take your truck/ car anywhere else. Lubbock is supposed to be filled with nice people and this place is against everything that makes Lubbock great. read more

I have a 20 monthly membership to racer classic and even at their basic wash every aspect of their services were matched by premium washes at this establishment (mighty wash) I only opted for this place as I was in the area and crunched for time but I now realize the taking the time to drive to Racer is By far the best option. We went on Saturday before the TECH game, around 2 pm or so. Their machinery malfunctioned and my Suburban kept moving forward after the truck in front of me had stopped moving forward. So, my vehicle bumped into the truck in front of me, and the vehicle behind me started crashing into my rear bumper. "Michael" the manager on site, who was very courteous and helpful, assured me that they would pay for fixing my front bumper, now with a hole in it. Well, today, after sitting a The Body Shop in McKinney for an hour, and then calling to make sure they Mighty Wash was going to pay for the repairs... they have waffled on the repairs. So, now we are in a disagreement over the cost to fix it. Matt, the ops manager informs me he has a guy in Lubbock that will fix this for a $100.00. Problem is I live about 375 miles east of Lubbock. So, now we are at a standstill, and my bumper has a hole in it. Not good. Even so, if they plugged the hole in my bumper with some sort of composite material, the bumper now has a hole in it, and it is because of their car wash. It is a good thing I called them back to make sure they were going to pay for the repairs to my vehicle, otherwise if it had been fixed, I would have been out about $1K out of pocket to get my car back. Bottom line, beware of the malfunctioning equipment, and management, at this place. I am just glad I was not in my BMW when this happened. We will happily update all to let you know if these folks do decide to step up and fix my car. I wonder if they have insurance, as they said they would just pay cash for the repairs. I just got done with my car wash. My car went from "after the blizzard" dirty to showroom clean in a matter of minutes. The staff is very friendly and seem eager to serve. The quality of the wash and dry are exceptional. If you want a cheap car wash, you should go somewhere else. If you want a d____ good car wash, go to Mighty Wash. Biggest mistake I ever made was trying their new car wash on the South Loop. I had a 50% off coupon so I decided to give them a try. First thing I noticed when I entered was quite a bit of disconcerting noise that I don't normally hear while going through other car washes in town. The next thing I know the dryers came on and they were blowing my wipers around and my bedcover was being buffeted like I was driving through a tornado. Parked to dry the truck as they CHARGE extra for someone to dry it off. There was blue water dripping from everywhere. It was the worst car wash I have ever had. The door jams were full of the same blue water. To add insult to injury, their dryer broke my rolling bed cover and they flat out refused to do anything about it. I was told it was "aftermarket" and they have signs posted. No one told me to open it and I have used Racer Classic Car Wash weekly with the same truck and bedliner and never had an issue EVER. AVOID this place, even if they are the only car wash open in town. I would have given them no stars if that were an option. read more

Took my new car for its first wash a few days ago. When I got home the entire rear of my car, and parts of the front and sides were dripping with bright blue soap. Ended up having to detail it at home, the whole thing I was trying to avoid by going to a car wash. That was a fun waste of 30 minutes and $14... I am disappointed that the location on 82nd and Milwaukee no longer offers to clean the inside. :(. It is a very convenient place for me. I want the whole shabang when I go and I cannot drive across town to have it done at the other location. I am extremely disappointed and the competitor "Racer". I had the $50 Monthly Plan with $10 hand drying paying $60 a month I had a new 2015 mustang just got last year and I must have taken it in every week for a couple of months last year but this year this location ruined my hood so bad after weeks of getting the run around they paid to repaint my hood but would not repaint my trunk or roof only sand it down and at that they had me go to one of the managers brothers workshops where they probably get work done for dirt cheap. During this entire fiasco not once did they offer a refund or a free detail or nothing while I got stuck with scratches you could still see even with them sanded down. This has got to be one of the most unprofessional and uncaring car wash joints out there I don't recommend either location as it took the other location 1 month to put the same scratches on the hood. I honestly liked the location and the service for the 1st few months but after they damage your car good luck that service goes out the window.! Avoid this place if you care about car washes damaging your car. read more
