Although a little late, my experience with David and Angela has been fantastic. A few months prior, I had my headshots done with David. I had gone with the 4 headshot package and throughout the entire process, from planning the date to him sending the final four headshots, David was a very patient, helpful, and fun person to work alongside. Having no prior knowledge, David not only gracefully guided me throughout the entire process, but he also gave great advice on headshots, fashion, life, and more. During the actual session, David made the experience very relaxing and fun that my nervousness disappeared almost instantly. It made the headshot session pass in an instant, that when we finished, I could not believe how fast it ended. I had 5 headshots, a consult, and talent agency prep work with David. I gotta say WOW! Within two months, I had a full portfolio of professional headshots, an audition video, and two contract offers from top talent agencies in Seattle! I was referred to this company through my agency, Tiffany Talent. I am a new actor and in need for continued education. Recently ,I have been asked for self taping auditions. I have explored YouTube, read tutorials, and asked fellow actors.. But, there is nothing better than classes!! I took the Camera 1 training classes with David and Angela. Even just after the first session, I was already thinking, if I'm going to have an acting career in Seattle, I need to keep doing more and more with these guys. Five weeks later, my great feelings about them has only improved more and more. They are both very professional, passionate, and at the same time, very down to earth and willing to share. Every session is very well structured, they cover many different areas and each practice we are given has different focus. The atmosphere of the class is relaxed but the pace is never slow, we are always focused on the topics but never feeling bored. I took a tone of notes in class and have a lot more to think about back home. They give plenty of feedback after each take and you can go home and look at your footage more to think about where to improve. They make sure their feedback is useful to everyone as an actor, so even when we are watching other people's practice there are still a lot to learn. What I love most about them is they show a lot of care and deliver plenty of encouragement. I think it's very important for new actors to have enough confidence in yourself while being guided towards the right track. They definitely point out where I could do better, but they also make me feel that they want me to do better and I have it in me to do better with better understanding and more practice. I'm not skilled enough in writing to describe exactly how much I have enjoyed these classes and why. All I know is I'm more determined to be an actress after this month of learning with David and Angela and I know there still a tone more I can get from these guys. I highly recommend David and Angela. David is coaching my 14 year old who was hesitant to begin acting despite it being something he was interested in for such a long time because he was feeling so shy. Mighty Tripod is a great place for youth actors to get coaching, training, and support! My daughter (15) has taken three classes with MTP and has grown as a performer and learned so much! The classes are well planned and use time very efficiently. It's obvious the instructors put a ton of work into them outside the classroom in planning. She also does private coaching with Angela, who is her biggest cheer leader and always gives her constructive feedback in a positive and useful way. What's more, Angela was a child actor herself and knows how difficult it can be for parents to navigate this business. She always includes the parent in the learning process. I took MTP's Acting 1 class (a 5 session weekly series) in 2013. I was lucky to have David S. Hogan, Angela DiMarco, and Tony Doupe as instructors. Even with my prior acting training, I learned a lot of extremely useful tips in the class. We worked on commercial acting as well as film acting, and did scene work with partners in addition to solo monologue work. I believe that I have booked more work because of the training I received from these awesome instructors. All of the questions I had in class were answered thoroughly, and they happily gave me advice that has been very useful. I will definitely be returning to MTP for future classes. read more

I always go into camera classes with a bit of trepidation, even when they come recommended by actor friends. Every actor knows how easily it is for us to get taken advantage of especially in such a small market. When we are not working, we are training. That being said, David and Angela are an absolute asset to our community and make an awesome team. They know the ins and outs of the craft (and business) like the back of their hands (and are at the top of their game in our market). Not only are they working actors/producers/directors but coaches as well [whew!]. On-going camera specific classes are few and far between in Seattle. We are lucky to have Mighty Tripod.
