And so....she was able to get the best picture poses of them. The engagement photos were beautiful and my daughter used them for the "save the date" cards she sent out ahead of the invitations. Jenny spent time with the bride and groom ahead of time to ensure there was good plan for the shots they wanted of the wedding and reception. On the day of the wedding Jenny did a fabulous job of working through getting all the family shots with such an awesome sense of humor and she got amazing candid shots of wedding party and guests throughout the day. Then, when I saw the photos I was shocked. I nearly cried. As this is her kindergarten photo, it's special. The first photo I could not use because she's holding a big brown file folder with a number, looked bigger that her. The second photo her hair was absolutely wild, it was everywhere. She was slouched down in her neck area not even sitting up straight and she appeared to be growling with her teeth at the camera. It was awful! This is the last year I buy an overpriced package from this place. I wish the school would switch back to Lifetouch! The retake day was never announced either. I'm so disappointed.

Anyone can take pictures, but not everyone can take really great pictures…read more Kim not only has a great eye and artistry, she is a great person to work with. I wasn't sure if my kids were going to be cooperative, but she was relaxed and put everyone at ease. Even before we scheduled our session, she was very prompt and responsive to emails and gave us many great options on locations and product options. We decided to do our pictures outdoors and she met us at Golden Gardens and was well prepared, having scoped out some great sites to shoot, and even brought some simple props. I was so impressed by how many great pictures came out. After the photos were proofed and put on her secure website, she came out to our house to show us samples of her product offerings, and gave us great suggestions on types of canvases, sizing, and where to hang our family pictures. We had planned for an out-of-hospital birth but at the end of the pregnancy had to urgently schedule a C-section and Rachel was by our side the entire time, helping us navigate every decision with clarity and care. She prepared us for exactly what we could expect, slowed us down when fear was starting to take over, advocated for me in the hospital (immediate skin-to-skin with baby, supporting my husband as the nurses cared for baby, latching as quickly as possible, etc.), and ensured that either she or my husband held my hand the entire time. Beyond just her knowledge, she provided a safe space where we could express our fears openly and encouraged acknowledging all the emotions that come with becoming new parents. She did a beautiful job honoring my grief, grief in becoming a mom and the change of identity, grief in having to change our birth plan late in the pregnancy, and grief that I wouldn't have my mom with me.
