Finding a wedding photographer can be stressful, but if you are lucky enough to have stumbled across Liz's work and are now looking through her reviews, you can stop searching! One of my family members is a photographer and helped me weed through some photographers I had found online. Immediately after seeing Liz's work, they said "go with her!" After that, we scheduled a meeting. Liz is just the best; friendly, fun, and lives a very cool life. She's exactly the kind of person you want to share such an intimate/special day with. Side note: we did not use Liz for our engagement photos, as we had the family member take them, but in retrospect, I would recommend all couples do so. Why? Because it would be another opportunity to get to know Liz better and for her to get to know you. We got married in Wicker Park and knew we wanted some photos around the neighborhood, but other than that we were very vague. The spots she chose and shots in each place went above and beyond anything we had imagined. She made everything feel very fun, but she was also very good at keeping a large group of people on track and on time. Our bridal party and family loved her as much we do, and are still (months later) talking about how awesome she is. Absolutely fantastic from the very beginning. We found Liz through a Google search for photographers and after seeing her photos online, decided to set up a meeting. We were a little weary of booking a photographer that didn't come from a personal recommendation, but as soon as we met her we knew she'd be perfect. We booked the very next day -- before we had a venue or anything else picked. We had ~400 people at our wedding and Liz did an absolutely phenomenal job capturing every little detail while staying insanely collected all day. She had scoped out the hotel and surrounding area in advance so she knew exactly where to capture photos and worked with us on our timeline to make sure we could get everything we wanted. When I started my wedding photographer search, I was overwhelmed with all of the choices and didn't know where to begin. I reached out to a good friend who knows a lot about photography and asked her to choose one for me. She suggested Liz, and I am so happy that she did! We first met Liz at our engagement photo shoot and were immediately impressed with her talent. She had so many fun and creative ideas for our session and she was excited about each and every picture that she took. When we received our photos from Liz, we understood what all of the excitement was about - they were great! We did our shoot in Chicago (where we live) and we were so happy that she was able to capture everything we love about the city. Our wedding was in South Bend, Indiana. Liz was unfamiliar with South Bend but assured me that she would do her homework to find the best spots in town for pictures. I figured that Liz would just scope out a few spots the morning of the wedding. Unbeknownst to me, Liz made a special trip to South Bend several days before the wedding to scope out the church, the reception site, and several spots around town for pictures. This blew me away - it was completely unexpected and I was so impressed that she took the time to do this! Liz was such a pleasure to work with throughout the wedding day. Liz showed so much enthusiasm and excitement throughout the day and made me feel like a beautiful bride. She was so upbeat and happy and made the pictures really fun. Liz was extremely organized and efficient, and also worked really well with our videographer. So many people approached me throughout the day to tell me how great Liz was and how easy she was to work with. Liz stayed at the wedding well into the dance party at the end of the night and truly captured all of the fun and silly dance moves on the dance floor. I don't know where to begin. Liz was unbelievably kind, fun to work with, professional, and up for anything when it came to both our engagement photos and wedding photos.
