To scan just one book of 285 pictures it would have cost $994!!! Each picture (even though you scanned each page) was $3.75/each. Here is her project description from the invoice estimate she did for me: Project Description: - Prepare book for scanning by removing gently removing string - Scan each individual page at 300dpi - Maintain order of book by using filename convention: BOOK NAME_ALBUM_pg 1, 2... - For pages, enhance black background and sharpen images - Crop each individual photo from book, color enhance and sharpen - Maintain order of book by using filename convention: BOOK NAME_INDIV_pic 1, 2... - Provide client with digital files on cd flash drive - Return original materials and any loose materials in acid-free sleeves - Cost: 285 (+/- 10) total pictures @ $3.75/ea - $994 Since I thought this was outrageous, I called another company and its ovner agreed that it was way overpriced. He said he would charge me $300 to do the same for both my albums, not just one. Ultimately, I decided to scan the pictures myself at 600 dpi, bought Photoshop Elements for $70, and cropped everything myself. $70 is a lot more reasonable than $1000. It took me 8 hours to scan BOTH albums. The cropping takes the longest. I am almost done with all the photos and have spent ~15 hours cropping and editing. After I told Molly her work was out of my price range, she was really nice about it. She told me that if I had any questions doing it on my own, I could give her a call. She also hand delivered the album she evaluated to me at work. Once again, she is a really nice. If price wasn't an issue, I think she would be a good person to work with.

I looked all over the internet at the different companies where you send a box of photos in. I instead wanted to find someone local so I wouldn't have to worry about my pictures getting lost in the mail. Molly did an amazing job with all the pictures I gave her and her prices were extremely reasonable. As a reference I got a couple of quotes from photo shops around Seattle and they literally charged an arm and a leg and were on average 4-5 times more expensive than what Molly quoted me at. I initially gave her a small batch because I wanted to see how good the scans turned out and once I saw how great they were I had her do about 200 more for me. Her turn around time on everything was really great as well. Will definitely recommend her to anyone and will use her in the future again.

We were referred to Jenn Tai by our wedding planners. We spent $4,410 for 6 hours of wedding day…read morecoverage with 1 photographer. Our photographer was Kelly Bowie. From the moment Kelly arrived at our wedding it felt like amateur hour. Even though we met with her in advance of our wedding and sent all the details in writing, she "forgot" pretty much everything we discussed. For example, Kelly forgot to bring the list of family groupings for the family photos. Kelly also forgot that we needed seating for disability accommodations during the family photos and chose a location that required our elderly and disabled guests to walk down a hill and then stand outside in the August heat for almost an hour with no place to sit. Additionally, during the ceremony Kelly's presence was very distracting. We were in a small greenhouse with multiple entrances where she could have easily walked around the guests to get from one point to another but instead she walked down the aisle and in front of our guests multiple times during the ceremony. If it's possible, when we received the photos we were even more disappointed in Jenn Tai Photography. There was a real lack of attention to detail that was visible in the photos and that you expect a professional photographer to be aware of. For example, in several of the photos you can see phones visible in pockets, hand sanitizer clipped to belts, etc. Also, some of the key photos were overexposed and as a result faces or images were so light that detail was lost. We brought a lot of these issues to the attention of the company owner, Jenn, who did her best to address our concerns during post-production editing. Jenn's customer service was great and we know that she worked hard to try to correct the issues. Thank you, Jenn, for doing your best to fix our photos. Overall, we're still not happy with most of our wedding photos, but thanks primarily to Jenn's post-production work we have a small percentage of wedding photos that we love and will cherish.

We interviewed a handful and felt an instant connection. Not only is she super professional and great at what she does, she makes being photographed fun and easy! She photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding. For our engagement photos she made both of us feel super comfortable not only in front of the camera, but also packing on the PDA at Sculpture Park lol. The photos were fantastic and really did capture who we are as a couple! Fast forward to our wedding. She was super organized, able to keep our family in line (it can be like herding cats) but most importantly, she was super inclusive to all of our family and friends. Our photos are beautiful and candid. Looking at them makes you feel like you were there on the day. We will recommend Jenn to all our friends and family and continue to use her as our family grows! Did I mention she's also hilarious. You'd be doing a disservice to your event not to hire her!

Hiring her was a mistake right from the beginning. Our first meeting was to take place at a Starbucks. She sent us a text message at the time of our appointment to cancel the meeting because her fiancé was supposedly suddenly super-ill. She wasted our time as we were already waiting for her there and we found it very unprofessional that she used texting to communicate rather than calling us. At our wedding she and her fiancé, who she brought as her assistant, were completely unprofessional, behaving more like guests than a hired vendor. She cheated us out of an hour of photos at a second location -- promised and paid for in advance -- because she lost her backup battery and her camera died. We had promised our family shots from this pre-arranged location (Kerry Park, with its postcard-perfect views of the Space Needle and downtown Seattle) and looked forward to these shots more than any of the others that day, and everyone was very disappointed not to have them taken. Our contract specified that a disc of our photos would be in our hands within 60 days of our wedding. When we contacted her after 60 days had passed she claimed her hard drive had crashed and she didn't know whether she had all our photos or not, but would send what she had immediately. It is completely irresponsible to not have a backup hard-drive when they are inexpensive and people are entrusting her with irreplaceable photos from such a special day. We tried to reach her via email and phone with no response for the next month and we received no photos. Finally at 90 days after our wedding and in serious breach of contract we emailed and called to tell her we were going to file a suit against her in small claims court. We were then contacted by some random person via email claiming to be her assistant and giving excuses of illness that was supposedly ongoing for two months, even though Kristine herself made no mention of this one month prior when her "hard-drive problems" were her excuse. Kristine posted about how busy she was on her business Facebook page 75 days after our wedding during the time she was supposedly "so ill" she couldn't return a phone call or email. She even had the gall to put a photo of us on her business's Facebook page to use our wedding as advertising for her business when we still didn't have any photos of our special day. On her personal Facebook account she made 20 posts in the month after our photos were already late. Somehow she was too ill to return a phone call or email to a paid-in-full client, but not too ill for making Facebook posts about her new job at a Chiropractor, a link about cosplay, and photos of her cat. After threatening to take her to small claims court, we finally got photos from her. It is absurd to have to go to these lengths to get a wedding photographer to honor their contract. We do not recommend hiring Kristine for ANY functions, especially not your wedding. She's not trustworthy, doesn't honor her contracts, is a terrible photographer and will give every excuse in the book. Save yourself our trouble and hire someone more experienced and professional.

Like seriously I think I researched around 70 different videographers (yes, I know). When my partner and I originally decided to invest into documenting our day with video, we wanted to make sure we picked the right videographer to capture everything and create a fun, exciting video that we would love to watch over and over. And, most importantly, we needed a videographer that we trusted so we weren't stressed about video on the day of the wedding. We were SO HAPPY that Emerald Media was available on our wedding date when we reached out to them - we didn't have a backup option in mind! At first my partner was a little bit worried that there would be too many people around us throughout the day (two videographers plus two photographers that we'd also hired) but honestly, Tamara and Lindsay did such a great job of blending into the background that we hardly even noticed them during the wedding and reception. They delivered the social media preview while we were on our honeymoon and we LOVED watching it - over and over! They did a perfect job of capturing the energy of our day. We were so excited to get the rest of our videos: the highlight film as well as the ceremony, toasts, and dances!! We had some follow-up requests and they've been super accommodating and easy to work with, which we really appreciate! My partner and I are really happy that we hired Emerald Media as our wedding videographer and would highly recommend them to any couples looking for wedding videography!
