    $8 wine flight!
    Daizha E.

You had me at $8 wine flights!!!! I didn't realize this even existed here at SSC but such a great hidden gem! The service was great, lots of wines to choose from (which were all delicious) and such a relaxed ambiance. I actually had a flight of reds, went to the garden center and then came back for a flight of whites because they were that good. Can't wait to come back!

    Tasting and charcuterie tray.

If you ever wonder where people learn to make work, look no further than our own community college. This review is for the tasting room - which offers low priced tastings paired with a charcuterie tray in a laid back environment. This time in, we came on a spring day and sat outside, enjoying being surrounded by plants you could also buy at the nursery. The place has a nice community feel and is less stressful than the wine places with high dollar tastings. Are the wines the best I have ever tried? No, but they were still decent and drinkable, especially in such a nice, learning environment.

A group of friends and I stopped in yesterday to a FREE wine tasting of various wines paired with goodies from the SSC Pastry Chef school and charcuterie.

I received truly excellent customer service when I came in to take my Knowledge Test the other day…read more I have not taken a test in decades, literally, and the person who administered the tests in Maryland was blatantly cruel to the young people in the room who were there to get their first DL. Your test lady was soft-spoken, but got right to it. She treated the very young girl, who was also taking the test, with professionalism and kindness, and me, an old lady of 63, with the same, even though I was nervous and my weak left leg kept going numb and caused me to bump into her desks. I am very grateful for a smooth process and peaceful environment.

So a decade after most of my peers, I decided that it's time to bite the bullet and get on the road now that I have a car of my own and access to lessons! I knew that I was lucky to have found this school after having a not-so-great experience with another driving school in the area, but I didn't realize how fortunate I was until I actually started driving around and experiencing how helpful the skills that Malaika teaches in her lessons are! As an adult student, it's very easy to get discouraged when you're learning how to drive later than some others. But Malaika makes her lessons to be as practical and easy to understand as possible and that's a quality that is not only helpful to have in a driving instructor, but also very *necessary* when you're learning such an important skill. The reason that this driving school is so much more helpful than many others is because the instructor is both patient and engaged, walking you through important things that you need to know while you're driving without freaking out or getting frustrated when it takes a few tries to pick up the skill. I would describe her teaching style as "attentive but mostly along to enjoy the ride and make sure you don't end up dead" which is PERFECT for me. Overall, I'm just irritated that I wasted time trying to learn without proper instruction before I found this school! I passed my test and felt more prepared for it than I could've ever hoped. Not only do I recommend this driving school, but I'm going to risk being considered dramatic for a moment and say that I definitely consider it to be a life changing experience for me.

My experience with this school was superb, took the knowledge test with a group of other first timers, the instructor was awesome (passed). Took my road test with Marty (who I see was bashed in a couple of reviews) he was not only a great instructor but very knowledgeable and patient with me, he even came in 1/2hr early so I wouldn't have to wait a couple of days for the next slot to open for my road test, after I PASSED (90%) he had some time before his next test and submitted my score, I'm now at the DMV writing this review and couldn't be more ecstatic.

If you want to pay this company over $700 only for you to teach your own student how to drive yourself then sign up! They sign up LOTS of students for their Zoom classes and then cannot provide driving lessons to these students until 2 months after they complete the Zoom class and tell kids to drive 2-3 hours with their parents a week during the Zoom classes and do not offer nearly enough driving classes to go along with the Zoom classes. Quite the business model to make the $. Insulting to customers and students. I suggest going to Burien or King Driving. This is unreal. Very frustrating and extremely dangerous.

Not terrible. The staff at this location are always very friendly and kind to the kids. I think we were spoiled when we first enrolled, as my daughter seemed to be the only one at the level she entered into. That was amazing. Basically a private 30 minute lesson. When she moved up, there were 3 other kids in her level and with a class of 4 my daughter gets maybe 10 minutes of actual time in the pool. The rest they all sit shivering on the edge waiting their turn. I will say that, by no fault of BSS, their location -LA Fitness- is awful. We have had several lessons be moved to their other location at WS Athletic club (which is annoying because parking there sucks) because the pool heater was busted and another time recently where they just had to cancel because the pools chemicals were out of whack. For the most recent cancellation, they did write a formal apology to parents and refunded us the cost of the class, which was really top notch. We'll see how it continues. If they have a reliable pool I think it's an okay program. I just don't see my daughter progressing very quickly and I don't know if that is because she doesn't get much actual time in the water each week, or her own stubbornness at not listening or wanting to do what she is supposed to do.
