My daughter has been attending ShoreNorth for two months. In that time a student has hit her twice…read more Both times she did not apologize and was allowed to continue playing with the group. I brought it to the attention of the staff and the first time the mom was present and did absolutely NOTHING! The second time she whipped her with a plastic snake and we left for the day. She ruins our experience every single week and no one does anything to discipline this child. The co op was supposed to be a fun learning experience for us and it has not been. I dread having to volunteer in the classroom. I thought my daughters safety was a bare minimum. All I asked for was an apology from the little girl so she would know what she did is not acceptable. Now I know why bullying is such a problem today. She didn't even apologize and was allowed back into the classroom. If you want to worry about your child's safety and not hear the teacher over all the disruptions then ShoreNorth is for you! Or if you are raising a bully and want to allow them to have the freedom to do whatever they want, then you found the place for you. I'm extremely disappointed and sad that my daughters safety is not a priority for them. Shame on them for not making a student apologize for physical violence. All they did was make excuses and try to be politically correct.

Let me start off by saying that my 3 yr old and I tried this co-op and found it was not for us…read more Not because of anything pertaining to Northshore co-op itself, but we found that the co-op type daycare wasn't up our alley in general. Why then am I writing this? Because first off, the place is pretty cool-- the school I mean. The toys and overall environment just beckons your kid to explore and play. Clay, painting, dress up, mats to jump on, two story "tree house", a sensory table filled with the shells of chocolate beans, etc... Next, and the main reason that I have taken the time to write this is-- that they refunded my first month's tuition when we pulled out. We had gone 2 or maybe 3 times (1-1.5 wks). So, although they would never advertise such a thing, they are open to you changing your mind and understand that this type of set up is not for every body. Kudos to them.

We are fortunate that we were able to get into this class hosted by such a world-renowned expert in the field (tip: register EARLY for her class). She is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and engaging and we enjoy going to class each week. At the end of our class, there is supposed to be a reunion class where we meet all the babies that were born to couples in our group, which we are excited for. I would highly recommend this 8 week series to all first-time parents-to-be!

She challenged preconceived notions and invited us to reframe thoughts on pregnancy and birthing. That's not easy to do! She was a great listener and heard where we were. For any queer families, she created an inclusive, comfortable and supportive environment - Something that can be hard to find in childbirth spaces. I feel like the staff really know her and they do everything they can to make her feel welcome and supported. She has three teachers, Leslie, Ashley, and Mayeli and they're all very engaged with her and invested in her development. The school also made it easy for my husband and I since this was our first time with daycare. Claudia, the head of the Delridge school, was so thoughtful when we first brought our daughter and checked in with us personally the first few days to let us know she was doing well. I also love the community they foster with potlucks and newsletters and genuine care for their students. I highly recommend WorldKids Delridge.

My son is in the toddler classroom with Leslie, Ashley and Mayeli. He loves his teachers very much he talks about them every day. My son is excelling in Spanish and language, as well as other areas being only two years old. WK Delridge is a small center, but we consider than a plus because you get to know everyone and it feels more familiar and close than bigger centers. They communicate well and have helped us through family transitions and potty training. My son receives plenty of attention and care where some days he doesn't even want to leave! We are beyond happy with our decision to start at WK Delridge and look forward to our youngest being old enough to start going there too!

My son is normally pretty slow to warm up in social situations, and she made sure he was comfortable and could participate. Sometimes it can be hard when he's surrounded by more outgoing peers. He adored her as a result and I saw him open up in ways he hadn't before. The classes are taught 100% in Spanish with a chance to review and ask questions at the end of each class in English. A handout is also provided each week with the lyrics to songs and some key vocab to practice at home. There are lots of props and fun routines that get the kids engrossed in learning. The only thing preventing me from giving a five-star review is the location; I wish something more central were available. Now that we live on the north end, it's not feasible for us to take classes with Sponge anymore. It's also fairly expensive compared to similar programs in town (Polly-glot Tots comes to mind). If it were closer and more affordable, we'd be enrolled again in a heartbeat.
