The best of the best. My wife found them by word of mouth which is how they normally gain business. At first, they didn't want to move us because our house was big and they are a family business. Very reasonable and very careful. They moved our house to a storage unit for now, but will move us again soon. My wife dealt with Diedre and Jim whom she said were very compassionate and responsive. I had a negative experience with the first moving company I utilized. They were late and got lost. Lots of hidden charges. Wouldn't move anything off the truck, including themselves, until I had cash. The estimate was $500 less than the actual cost. I was in tears. I found out about this company from a small advertisement in a Chinese restaurant I used to order from. I called. The woman I spoke with on the hone was lovely. On the moving day they were on time and extremely efficient. They moved quickly, and finished long before I thought. There were no hidden charges, just a flat rate. My husband hired Mighty Max Movers upon the recommendation of a coworker who had used them for his move & had had a good experience. My husband mainly dealt with the customer service, but there were no problems when we had to reschedule our moving date last-minute. On the day of the move, the guys did a great job. It only took two hours to move all our heavy/bulky furniture from our one bedroom apartment into our new home in the next town over. They were quick and efficient. Jim, the owner (?), was conscientious about putting felt furniture pads under some of our furniture so as not to have it scratch our newly refinished hardwood floors. The other two guys, Jake and the other one whose name I sadly forget, were also very good and made a point to know our names and ask where we wanted things. So I did not make the decision nor pay for Mighty Max Movers, but my friend did (and she is super busy and will never post a review). I flew in from Texas to help her move her two bedroom condo to a three bedroom house (two story with basement). Last year for me was busy with seven moves so moving is super fresh on my mind. We were all a little worried because of all the stairs and shear lack of packing. When MMM showed up, it was like a team of super heroes flew in, assessed the situation and IMMEDIATELY developed a plan. The Mighty team was professional, courteous and lead by an owner that loves moving! Actually all the guys said they loved moving which was evident in the way they took great care of my friends stuff. We had fun moving! Our team included Deidre (sp, sorry!) who was responsible for packing and unpacking the truck. She knows what she's doing and has fun with the crew to keep things light and fun. In all my years of moving, Mighty Max Movers is THE BEST. If you want them, book soon as they are booked well in advance. Good luck in all your future moves! Couldn't get pass the initial phone call. When you have to explain to a scheduler what a townhouse with a third floor is, that's not the mover for you. Yes, some people prefer a townhouse in a small City to a single family home surrounded by nothing but driveway and a garage. It's not all about the almighty single family-two garage-household. Sorry if you feel moving items from the third floor would blow up our estimate. Movers should be able to move things threw a real City house. read more

Never ever make the mistake of these irresponsible useless people. I hired them one month in advance, and got the date and time fixed. They were supposed to come between 10-11 on a Saturday morning. Since we did not see them after 12, we called them (a million times and never got a response, and they finally answered when we called them from a different number at almost 3pm) and they said that they cannot come because their truck broke down. So we asked if they can reschedule the appointment to next day (Sunday), and the manager (or whoever the lady is) said that they were fully booked for Sunday and that they cannot accommodate us, and that there is nothing they can do, and she just hung up. We tried calling them again and got no response. Do not count on them. They are dishonest and unprofessional. read more

Regretfully, my interaction with this company was far from professional. I scheduled a date with Deirdre and wanted to be prepared when her crew arrived. I texted her questions about packing and boxes and she was evasive and non-responsive to my questions. I also asked for a contract or something in writing and she wouldn't provide it. Finally, after me calling and questioning her several times about boxes she told me that they do not provide boxes even though the website indicates that boxes, shrink wrap and tape are available/provided. When I asked about whether to take clothing out of the dresser before the move she evasively told me yes but again, didn't want to provide any supplies or suggestions on how to pack it. She became condescending, abruptly cancelled the job, and hung up on me. Mighty Max Movers came as a recommendation from an Assisted Living Facility and I will be sure to notify them and recommend they take this moving company off of their list. Completely unprofessional, immature and only looking to make a quick buck. Already booked with another company to move my grandmother! read more

We sadly lost our father very suddenly in February, 2015. Along with this very difficult time came the decision to sell his home. The home my brother and I were raised in for 30 years. As I'm sure you can imagine, all of the stuff that accumulated over 30 years was in a word, OVERWHELMING!! My mother, who had used Mighty Max for a move in April, highly recommended them for not only moving, but mentioned they also did 'Estate Clean Ups'. When I initially called, I spoke to Deidre who very professionally explained to me what services they provide. When Deidre arrived to help me begin the estate cleaning, she started with "Ok, let's start with getting you organized". From there, she blew me away! Her knowledge of these situations, making designated areas for scrap, donations, etc. She was outstanding!! She was, in a sense, like a mentor for me to be able to continue on my own after that day. I kept all of her suggestions in mind at all times!! She was an absolute joy to work with! I've hired The Mighty Max movers twice more since then. Another big Estate clean up, where Jim, Deidre and their team of workers came in, carried furniture, totes and garbage cans of junk up to our dumpster! This is a big job for anyone, so I'm so thankful they were there! The next time, Jim and his team moved my brother into his storage unit! There was nothing but respect and care for his things and again, Jim's knowledge of how to load a truck/storage unit so everything fit like a perfect puzzle was amazing. I have the team scheduled again to move the rest of the furniture out at the end of June and have no worries or stress about this move!! With never having used a moving company before, I'm HOOKED!! We hired Mighty Max Movers to move us into our new house, they couldn't have been better! Jimmy and Dierdre went above and beyond, making sure our furniture and belongings arrived at the new house safe and secure. Dierdre is amazing, the way she coordinates with the workers and organizes the truck is incredible. Jimmy took great care with getting the furniture out of the house and into the truck. He even went so far as to fix my grandfather clock! Even the guys were terrific! Worked quickly and efficiently, not a single thing broken or even scratched! They were recommended by a good friend who said how wonderful they were. She couldn't have been more right! I had heard horror stories about movers who 1. were way over priced and 2. when the furniture arrived, it was damaged or destroyed. Not these guys! I called this company because it is a local company, a "mom and pop" business. Their website says the owner is present at every job and I found that important. I had a last minute rush job of having to pick up a large, heavy desk and have it delivered to my home. At first, Deirdre told me that they could not accommodate my very last minute request, and I could understand that. But, within a few minutes, she called me back to say she did not want me to be taken advantage of by some other mover and that they would take the job. I would have lost the desk had they not taken the job. After taking the particulars, she gave me an estimate of cost and time frame. The next day, I got a prompt phone call from Jimmy notifying me that the desk had already been picked up and would be at my house within 20 minutes. The "monster" of a desk was brought in very professionally. It is rare to find people you can take at their word, but Mighty Max Movers do everything they say and then some.
