The wife got cinnamon swirl French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. The French toast was wonderful. It was fluffy yet slight crunch to it with great cinnamon taste. As some warm syrup and it was a home run. The cinnamon swirl French toast was even better. The eggs were dry but as hot sauce and they were fine. The bacon was crispy and the ham steak was heated up just fine. If the review was based off food and service alone 5 stars all day long but we sat too close to the smoking room and someone with asthma it's not great place to be near. It was the only spot open when we got there. If they didn't have the smoking room definitely would have been higher rating for us.

I ordered the brisket plate with beans and fried okra and mu wife had the brisket sandwich. The BBQ sauce was a great addition...not too much but not too little. The beans were excellent and the okra was fried to perfection. Our waitress was fantastic and was courteous and attentive to our needs. Excellent service! The decor was very cool and even had Micky Mantles pic on the wall. I didnt know he grew up in Commerce, but that just added to the coolness. (Thank you fellow yelpers for letting us know about this hidden gem!). They were sold out of a few items and good for them! I can only imagine how tasty THOSE items were!! We had burgers! Juicy, well seasoned (but not too salty) burgers! And served on toasted ciabatta rolls that were tender but stood up to the burger! Got the mushroom burger and it was fab! Juicy burger, fab bun, fresh 'shrooms, nicely dressed! Will go back! Would go here even if I wasn't going to the village! Hmmm Its not toooo far away - maybe a nice road trip!
