The mashed potato tasted like old baked potato (and wasn't hot), the brown beans tasted like ranch style canned beans with some chunks of ham. The "dinner bread" was dry breakfast toast. The curly fries were so crispy and thin there was no potato left, just messy chips. The chicken sandwich had good flavor, but was overcooked. The ranch tasted like they ran out of seasoning, it tasted like buttermilk with mayo. The table was fairly clean, but the seats were dirty. I didn't eat much, but my girlfriend did and got sick later in the evening.

My wife had the avocado toast. She said it was really good. Service was great and it's a neat atmosphere. It was a little loud because it's so busy. So if you want quiet, this isn't your place. My only complaint other than the over cooked eggs is the price. First, the menu prices are not updated. My meal said it was $19.00. In reality, it was $22.00. So it's pricy. Not really worth it for an every week place to eat in my opinion. I will probably only eat here on special occasions in the future. We spent just under $50.00 without tip. We had water to drink and I had a coffee. There are plenty of other places in Joplin with food priced more reasonably and that is just as good. It's definitely worth trying, just know it's pricy.

My husband had their French toast and it was delicious too. The inside is very old and quintessential small-town diner, so if you're into that sort of thing you'll love this place. It was packed when we got there at 8:30am, but we didn't have a long wait.

She handed us our menus and we decided what we wanted and waited at the very least 6 mins for this lady to finish texting to get her help. We placed our order and waited for our food to arrive. I noticed her dabbing her eyes and then proceeded to blow her nose and then picked up our plates to deliver us our food. No handwashing at all. Ewww. I put that all aside again and we finish our meal and had asked for a to go box and fork. She then looked at me and said, " she has a fork." Yes, I did. It was right in front of me. I however asked for a To go fork. SMH. We pack up our remaining food and go to pay where a different lady was there. My husband gives her the ticket and she does her thing and he pulls out a card and she prints something for him to sign and hands him the pen. By handing him a pen, I mean she hands him the pen.....puts the pen in his hand and guided it to the paper. Mind you this lady never said a dadgum word to us. None. He signs and we leave. I'm very disappointed in how the staff acted.
