I was craving AYCE sushi one weekday night and decided to stop by the newer Miga Sushi location in East Hanover. I had only been to Sakana nearby, and the Miga location in Denville so I was excited to try this location. When I arrived, there was only two other tables eating which was surprising but we were happy to sit in a booth and enjoy our time together peacefully. The waiters and waitresses were very responsive and service was very good from when we ordered to when we asked for second and third rounds and got fillups on our water and tea. The sushi came out fairly quickly as well as the hot food and everything tasted fresh. Hot food came out hot and sushi was not fishy. Especially enjoyed the salmon sashimi! The AYCE price was reasonable for the quality of food in my opinion, and overall I had a pleasant meal. I would definitely come again to fulfill my AYCE cravings. This is a great place to bring friends and bigger groups of people as well!

Another great sushi in the area with AYCE as well as a La Carte options. It is spacious and clean, with friendly service. We had sashimi (salmon, yellowtail, white tuna, red snapper) as well as an array of standard and specialty rolls. Some included salmon avocado and California rolls, spider, dragon, rainbow and Denville King rolls. Everything was very fresh. The rolls were tightly and neatly constructed. Staff was accommodating and available for extra ginger, wasabi and drinks. Will definitely come back.

Came to Miga Sushi for lunch for the very first time, and was seated right away on a weekend, which was nice. Service was good, friendly, prompt and attentive. Lots of parking and in the heart of livingston area. I ordered AAC roll, Avocado mango roll , spicy salmon roll, mushroom soup, and some steamed edamame for the side. Everything was delicious and happily eaten immediately. My family enjoyed the experience and we are definitely coming back here.

My friends and I go to Miga a lot for the all you can eat for sushi and sashimi. It has always been a favorite of ours. Service is fast and excellent and sushi and sashimi is amazing. The apps are all wonderful.

Aesthetically, a nice upgrade from the previous tenant at this location, Ninja. Pleasant, relatively large, nicely appointed dining area. Clean and well lit. We were there on a Saturday around 5:30PM and the room was jamming. Very busy. Although, I'm not completely sure why? We started with an appetizer of edamame. It was served burning hot. It was apparently left in the microwave too long. Mushy and not very appetizing. I ordered Chirashi for my main course. Chirashi is typically served as sashimi over rice in a bowl. Miga serves theirs plated. Which is fine. However, I found the fish to be bland, watery, flavorless and served at an improper temperature. The consistency and texture of the fish wasn't quite right. This typically occurs when fish is thawed too fast. Additionally, the rice was all wrong. Sushi is supposed to be served over sticky rice. This rice was falling apart and didn't stick together at all. Lastly six of the pieces were cheap fillers. 2 pieces hake, 2 pieces scrambled egg, 2 pieces mock (fake) crab. There were also 2 pieces of what is advertised as white tuna which in reality isn't tuna at all. My wife ordered the sushi deluxe which she didn't finish. Which speaks volumes. My wife finishes EVERYTHING!

I've been looking for a decent AYCE sushi spot and I think this has to be it. Big fan of their selection and their specialty rolls are really good. I found the fish for the sashimi to be a bit too cold for me, but happy with the sushi/nigiri and the rolls. Its also BYOB and they don't take reservations so make sure you get there at a decent time otherwise there will be a wait. We arrived 6:30pm on a Friday night and we're able to be seated immediately at the sushi bar because there was just 2 of us. But if you have a larger group, it will be tougher. It looked like around 7pm is when it really started getting packed. Love that it's also BYOB. They'll provide an ice bucket upon request. Green tea is $2.50 each but they bring you a tea pot. Otherwise everything is truly AYCE. The service is nice and attentive which always is a question when it comes to these places. Food turnout is pretty quick too.

I've been to the location in Wayne a few times and always enjoyed it, and Livingston is much closer to my house. We went last night for all you can eat sushi. For $32.95 it's a good price for all you can eat. They have great rolls and a lot to choose from. I really enjoy their special rolls. I like their all you can eat because they don't add extra rice or make the rolls bigger to get you to order less like some other places. The staff were very quick to remove empty plates and check our orders. It's nice and clean inside and a decent size. Will definitely be back.

Food: really delicious special rolls. Each had a different flavor, very unique. Some moments I felt it was flavorful and interesting and other bites I felt like maybe there was more sauce than what was needed Service: very very attentive, but also felt a bit rushed. Nothing overt, I will definitely return again Ambiance: same booths as when it was Zen Sushi which I love. Comfortable and peaceful.

i had always wanted to try the miga in denville when i lived closer to that area but never had a chance to. finally, i was able to try miga yesterday in livingston and it was a great experience. service was phenomenal - always ready to take dishes away, fill our waters, or accommodate an exception to the menu. we ordered the shrimp & veg tempura, veg gyoza, hibachi noodles, asparagus roll, & chicken & shrimp hibachi & everything was amazing. we will definitely be coming back when we're craving japanese. the hibachi noodles had a great flavor & i'm so glad we ordered them. we also went in on a friday at 7:30pm & were seated right away. byob also!

Great all you can eat sushi that has pretty good quality sashimi, traditional rolls, and special rolls. They definitely do not give you all the portions you request if you order more than 20 pieces of sashimi but that is fair and you can always request more. Great quality for the price point. This location definitely seems more spacious than the Denville location. Would recommend making reservations on Friday nights and weekends.

Ordered the sushi and maki combo platter. The food was average--nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either.

From the wait staff to the bus staff, everyone was running around like crazy. The table next to us, I heard them ask for the manager because they messed up an order with an allergy associated with it. Not good. First things first.. we got out miso soup and my bowl had rice stuck to it on the outside. I thought it was weird but I brushed it off because it was just on the outside. House salad was fine. But one of the women bussing tables tried to bring us a second salad because they were clearly overworked and overly busy. I am currently disgusted because I got to the end of my drink and there was the same old rice at the bottom of my cup as there was on the outside of the miso soup bowl. The sushi was fine. I think it's becoming more noticeable that they drench their rolls in sauce to possibly hide the quality of the fish. I'm not saying it was fishy at all, but wow the sauce is so overwhelming. I got the Elizabeth roll and I had one piece - it had too much sauce so I took some off the top and thought it would fix it. Nope. The entire inside of the roll was so unpleasantly soft and tasted like sauce and mayo.. I am still nauseated thinking about that bite. I didn't taste any piece of fish. I am so so disappointed. The seafood pancake had very long strands of squid which were hard to chew through. Another time that I ordered the seafood pancake. Everything was chopped up in small bites and it was a much more pleasant experience. Lastly.. they bussed our table and left our half eaten food on the floor next to us because I guess they were so busy they forgot about it. It was very chaotic in there last night. They brought us the wrong mochi ad well. It seemed like they were focused on getting people tables instead of pushing out quality food. Very disappointing.

Last week, we went to Dozo for dinner during work week (it was also partly a celebration/treat-yo-self meal together). Our one favorite local sushi spots never quite returned to dine-in service after the pandemic, so we've been looking for a replacement. Dozo is a strong contender. Sushi was great. My vegetarian husband ordered AAC Roll, Sweet Potato Roll, Peanut Avocado Roll, and one of the specialty rolls - an Evergreen Roll. He was happy. I, because it's a new spot, went with a standard to try it out, so I ordered a Sushi Deluxe. Very good. Before our entrees, we got Age Tofu and Vegetarian Gyoza for appetizers. Pretty good. We didn't order this, but we saw that they have desserts as well as Ramune, which was cool to see on the menu. Kids love those Japanese sodas. (Who am I kidding? I love them and I'm a grown adult!) Dozo has friendly service, too. In short, we're fans, for sure. Recommended without hesitation!
