This was my very first experience sugaring- or anything like it, I've never even waxed. I was going on vacation in Tulum and thought this was as good a time as any to try it! I scheduled a Brazilian, so I was expectedly terrified. Like wtf did I sign up for. I went for a glass of wine prior to my appointment because I was so nervous. Miel by Bee is so conveniently located and the place itself is really aesthetically pleasing. Brenda made me feel so comfortable and I was shocked at how little it hurt. Obviously it wasn't completely pain free but honestly I was expecting to be screaming or something. I was just carrying on a conversation no problem. I'm so over shaving and so I finally booked an appointment and wow oh wow!!!! I'm so glad I did!! I've had so many bad experiences waxing and going places that weren't sanitary, even before COVID began. I've never been comfortable with how people do their waxing, but seeing how well and clean Bee was brought so much comfort, especially because of the pandemic. The pain is obviously there since you're literally yanking hair out of your skin, but about 10-15 seconds later it went away! I did both my underarms and a Brazilian and it only took 30 minutes! Super quick and super easy! Also!! My skin in both areas feel sooo soft and I didn't expect that but it's such a pleasant bonus. *Another also* Idk if any of you ladies are thinking about buying your own wax kit or buying something at target just to do it yourself, but if you are, don't!! Usually, I look for parking a few blocks away for a couple bucks cheaper but if you're observant (and lucky) you can find street meter parking and pay like $4/hr. This is probably one of the best sugaring experiences I have ever had. I left the salon today in disbelief that I have found such a dreamy place. Bee was super friendly and patient with me, she even gave me a break in between to make sure I was calm and comfortable, she makes conversation and small talk while sugaring which is amazing to keep me occupied.
