I called early Monday morning and Vickie answered immediately. She was SO pleasant and was able to schedule an appointment that afternoon! Robert, our service technician, called about 30 minutes ahead of time, as promised, to let us know he was on his way. He arrived promptly and conducted a thorough inspection of our fridge. He discovered it was cooling properly, the coils were in good shape, and---the strange smell was due to a small orange that had rolled under the crisper drawer and molded! Robert was very kind and understanding and, in addition to the thorough inspection (which was great to have accomplished on a 20-year-old fridge!), gave us lots of tips for caring for the appliance (e.g., getting rid of the remaining dust on the coils, and the best deodorizer--activated charcoal--for inside the fridge). We really appreciate his time and expertise and answering all our questions and concerns. It is such a relief to have a great company that we can trust for our appliance repair! Unlike a prior vendor who worked on the same part on the same microwave who required multiple visits, Able was able to perform the initial evaluation, diagnose the issue, and FIX the issue on a single trip, avoiding lengthy delays in a KEY appliance for our family! Despite this clear evidence, Andy Pieri refused to issue a refund and instead questioned documentation and attempted to shift responsibility. The facts are simple: * Two licensed electricians confirmed the outlet was not the problem. * The dryer cord was replaced. * The appliance now works perfectly. The initial diagnosis was incorrect and resulted in unnecessary service calls, additional costs, and avoidable stress. Rather than taking accountability, the company chose to deny responsibility. Also in summer 2022 our washer stopped working. It was a Samsung and we'd only had it 5 years. Fixing it was going to cost almost as much as a new one, so we opted to buy a new machine. Thankfully we had Andy to recommend which brands to buy. He said get a Whirlpool or GE. We got a GE and it is THE NICEST machine we've ever had.
