I stopped in with some colleagues for lunch, not really sure what to expect, and whatever expectations I had were easily surpassed. It's a tiny little shop, and when we went there was just one person working, so a busy guy for sure, but there was not much of a line when we went. We parked and waited as he helped someone at the drive through, and then he came over and took our orders. Both colleagues got the Brisket Mac and Cheese bowls and I got a two meat platter. The two meat platter comes with your choice of pulled pork, brisket, smoked sausage, smoked chicken, and my understanding is on Friday through Sunday you can get three ribs. I opted for the pulled pork and brisket. It also comes with a beverage, two sides and a piece of cornbread. So after paying it took maybe 4-5 minutes for our food to come out and we chose to eat at a picnic table there. I was impressed by the heft of the bag, but honestly didn't fully appreciate the portion sizes until we were seated. Where to begin? I guess I'll start with the star of the show, the brisket. I only got one piece of brisket, but man was it a giant chunk of meat. Fatty on top, nice black bark on it, and as tender as can be. I did use a knife on it, but it took no effort, that's just because I wanted bite sized pieces rather than how it naturally shredded with my fork. Absolutely delicious, smoky but not overpowering, salty in the best way possible, and just so much juicy goodness. The pork was nicely shredded with bits of its bark still interspersed throughout, and my what a pile of porky goodness. Even the sides were massive! I am a big guy, I eat a lot, I didn't even come close to finishing my meal. The Mac and cheese was also delicious, soft, but baked so there were crispy bits, cheesy, ooey gooey perfection. The beans were fine, nothing wrong with them either, and the cornbread was soft and sweet too, just what you want to offset all the richness from the meats. I ordered both their housemade bbq sauces too, and they were very good, but I really didn't need them, everything was great on its own. Boy do I wish I found this place sooner. Wow, what a meal!
