It's not often that I come across a company that truly exceeds my expectations--but this team certainly did. I contacted them on very short notice to evaluate a commercial property with a water leak, and they responded quickly without compromising the quality of their service. From the moment they arrived, I was genuinely impressed by their professionalism, knowledge, and commitment to helping me understand the situation. What stood out the most was how thoroughly they explained everything. They walked me through the restoration process step by step, outlined exactly what to expect, and even identified the likely source of the leak while explaining how the problem may have developed. They didn't just inspect the property--they took the time to educate me, answer my questions, and make sure I felt confident about the next steps. In my profession, I know how important it is to have reliable, trustworthy vendors that I can confidently recommend to my clients. This is definitely a company I will keep in my network and refer without hesitation. Thank you for your prompt response, outstanding customer service, and genuine dedication to doing the job right. You turned what could have been a very stressful situation into one that felt manageable and under control. I highly recommend your services to anyone in need of a restoration company. You've earned a customer and a strong advocate for years to come!

They honored their quote, they gave us options, and the final product shows! I do not understand any of the bad comments - seems like they are from competitors trying to drive this family business down. Or people with zero patience. I spoke with the owner again today to bring them back for more work. Everyone who sees all the remodeling we did comments first on the chimney - every time. And after 2-3 years since the remodel, the owner remembers me and the home and the project. You just don't see that anymore.

He then sent his tech out (who charged me again) who specializes in gas fireplaces. The tech told me the cleaning wasn't done thoroughly, and did a thorough cleaning job (showed me how dirty is was after initial visit). He was very professional and knowledgeable. As he was leaving the issue appeared again. He stated I needed a new part and that I should hear back with a quote within a day. It has now been 8 weeks, multiple calls/text messages (15+) and I still do not have a cost estimate on the new part. Bottom line I'm $300 dollars in the hole and the problem hasn't been fixed.

His estimate was literally half of one of my other estimates. Definitely the lowest cost of the three companies I got estimates from. Hopefully I'll never need their services again, but if I did, I would call them without hesitation.

I called around and contractors told me either they wouldn't do the job or they would do it but they would charge $10,000. I think a lot of places are used to dealing with schools and big buildings where they can large fees. Tom's crew took care of it for $1700. To my un-expert eye it looked like they did everything they were supposed to--they tented the garage, had a guy in a hazmat-type suit work, and hauled off all the shingles safely. This work was done a long time ago (2008?) but the work they did stood out in my mind.

I experienced leaking by one of my windows over the rainy period on 4th of July. After determining…read moreit wasn't a window issue but a possible roof repair issue, I contacted Eenigenburg Exteriors in Cedar Lake. I had a very nice conversation with the lady on the phone, she sent out a man to check things out and give me an estimate. Turns out the fascia around my chimney needed work and part of the roofing needed to be replaced. So I committed to the contract and paid 50% deposit which was my first mistake. I was told that it would take 3 weeks for my job to be completed. We then had the horrific weather which wrecked havoc on Munster. The three weeks passed and I could not get any definite, concrete date as to when they would be out to my home. I called a couple of times and nobody answered the phone. I called both representatives that came out and neither could give me any answers. A leaking roof is rather urgent I'd say. What is really upsetting is their lack of communication skills, reaching out to their customer who already put money down and reassuring them they're not forgotten. When I did get through on the phone, we're waiting on a date and we'll get back to you. This charade went on for awhile until I had to demand some action, nobody likes a run around. I got their name from seeing them replacing my neighbors roof a few years back, that's how I happened to find them. I have front second floor gable that needs attention as I told one of their estimators about how it sometimes leaks in the corners inside with heavy rains from the west. That would have been another job for them. He told me what the cause was and indicated the approximate cost, then later abruptly tells me we're not taking any more of those kind of jobs at the moment. That was quite some time ago, do you think someone would give me a follow up call and say, do you still need your gable repaired, we're able to take care it now? NO! Totally written off and forgotten! My is roof is from 2011, do you think I'm going to call Eenigenburg? LMAO Finally, the first Saturday in October a crew of three (3) guys from O'Hare airport area, Guatemalan immigrants did the work. They did an amazing job as I am extremely happy with their roofing skills and work ethic. It was the getting to that point that aggravated the shit of me. Also, I'd like to mention all these The TIMES Best of the Region awards every year is simply a publicity stunt for the newspaper. You can call every day for like a 3 week period and vote each day for same company. I have medical provider that does the exact same thing, he gets his staff, patients, family and friends to vote for him daily and with that strategy, of course you'll win! The customer is always right, like it or not! AVOID THIS COMPANY! NOT RECCOMMENDED! AVOID THIS COMPANY!
