We have now had him work 3 projects in our home and I am VERY pleased with his efforts, timelines, costs to complete, and his interactions with us while getting them done. He's very focused on getting the job done with great detail included. He built out walls, "mudded" them & sanded them ready for paint, added a door and did some repairs. that's exactly what we needed! We HIGHLY recommend him and his work to anyone within his reach. Who the heck wants to have to call an appliance repair tech? No one, but sometimes it happens. This…read moreguy is reliable, fast and inexpensive compared to a lot of other repair places. We used him twice at our house recently- once to come out and see if our two year old (yes, I said two years old) GE washing machine, purchased in 2018, could be repaired. The bad news- it couldn't be. The repair would've actually cost $600. For that, we could easily buy a new one with a better warranty. The warranty had recently expired. Bummer. The good news was that he showed up quickly and on time (earlier even) after two other companies said they couldn't come for a few days (thanks but no thanks to that idea). His tech fee to show up also was lower and if he did repairs, that would be absorbed into the price (the others I called were $30 more to even come out and they didn't guarantee the tech fee would be absorbed into the price of repair and waived if they did actual work on the washer). His fee was $65, which seemed reasonable. We called him because he once worked on my mom's dryer and fixed it quickly and at an affordable rate. He seemed reliable and she liked him, which means a lot because she doesn't like anyone (no kidding). Once we ordered a new washer from Best Buy, the delivery/install guys did a horrible job on installation and the washer was totally unbalanced. We called back the same dude from JD's and he came out in an hour (again, very reliable and dependable, on time, punctual), and he proceeded to do the proper installation and reset the legs etc. Again, he only charged $65 for the entire job. If we need him again in the future, we'll definitely call him. He was reliable, honest, affordable and punctual and courteous. On a side note, Best Buy's Geek Squad installation guys were clueless. Ugh.

He said it needed a new belt and would come back when the part came in. His language was crude. He came back in the evening , put new part on washing machine. He left without putting machine back, marked up the floor, and didn't put tract door back in place. Also he didn't run a cycle to see if was working. My wife tried to do a wash the next morning and the machine didn't work. The same repair man came out to check the problem and stated the transmission was shot and said it was junk. We will not call JD Appliance again.
