I called ahead to ask if I could come in and sell some guns. I spoke with Noel who knew I was coming in from Marseilles, IL during a high traffic time near Chicago. When I finally arrived I brought in my Browning Bar II Safari that I had just looked up at $1,229.99 - $1,849.99. Noel then told me if I wanted cash today they only pay half of the value. Not half today and half later, just half. I told him that would have been nice to know before I drove an hour and a half to which he replied you should have asked. What a POS! He knew I was coming from far away. A decent person would have gone over something as important as that. STAY AWAY, SELL YOUR GUNS ELSEWHERE, ANYWHERE BUT HERE!" I took a gun safety class here. The range is decent, and the employees are nice. They have a variety of reading materials so you can learn more about self defense, weapons and ammunition. They have a large variety of guns and the team members are great at answering your questions. The parking is decent with at least 15 spots and some street parking. The neighborhood is fairly safe but there are a few people standing around selling waters on the street but nothing to be afraid of. Why did they lose a star? The variety of guns could be better. Most of what we wanted was there but they don't care a lot of interesting types of weapons. It's good enough for the first time gun owners. read more

UPDATE - If you are new to firearms this is not the place to go. I wanted a small gun for conceal carry and trusted the lady who sold me the PT22 Taurus. This gun jams constantly and should not be sold to anyone. I went to Range USA and they don't sell this gun at all because it is junk. So I trusted Midwest with my life and they failed me by selling me a gun that jams. I wasted $260 and trade in is between $40 - $20. Thanks Midwest. read more

I visited the range to practice after a six months absence and the staff was very friendly, the facilities were clean and the range wasn't full. I like the fact that I was able to take the time and get my shooting done uninterrupted and there was a few safety rules that must be followed but the overall experience was excellent. I also purchased a few boxes of ammunition and found the service to be cordial and attentive. I would recommend this range to all of my friends. read more

Went in recently with the intention of purchasing a pocket carry firearm. I walk in and stand around the used section for a good 15 minutes before an older Spanish speaking gentleman came around and helped me out. The entire time I was browsing there I noticed an older tall heavyyy set guy with glasses in the same area I was who did not take a second to acknowledge I was a customer needing assistance. The lack of customer service from that guy is as usual unfortunately and I can see some people being put off and potentially walking away if met with that guy. 5 stars to the guy who helped me out and that mustache too! Negative star for top notch customer service not being number one priority. read more

I'm in agreement w/others that they're rude, not helpful to inexperienced shooters, & over priced. I bought my gun here back in April and the sales guy was a douche bag asking dumb ass questions about my gun being for me or my friend because I was asking him questions about bullets. Considering I'm a new shooter of course I have questions DUMB ASS! Then a few days ago my female friend wants to go shoot & we both haven't shot in over 6mths. The range man was a total dick at 1st because we weren't shooting well. He threatened to toss us out for shooting incorrectly. Well dumb ass we're here to practice! After I set his ass straight & advised him that I clearly didn't give 2 shits about getting tossed out he calmed down & tried to have some patience w/us, but the damage is still done. They have mostly everything you need. Good prices on many items. The lady upstairs where you purchase firearms seems bored with job. Seen her a few days later having a smoke and greet her and all she did was stare at me. Gun range is old-school. Ceilings in range are falling apart. Looks like it's been up since probition times. I brought a gun in I inherited from my Dad for repairs.. After three months they contacted me to pick up my repaired gun to find out it was unrepairable. I understand it's not there fault for the unrepairable gun but they neglected to notify me of this issue. When I expressed my disappointment they tried to make it out like it was my fault!!! I will never patronize this business again. They act like there the only gun shop in the Chicagoland Area. Just picked up my firearm today. Not only was it a good experience but the staff is very helpful as soon as you walk in. Went to go buy a Glock 19 got the best service and price. Love the fact that they give you a free entry fee to their range to test out your firearm before! I will be back.
