After months of research and little success gathering estimates from numerous contractors who…read moreservice the northside/north shore area, I reached out to Semoore Fencing as a "Hail Mary" after hearing their name mentioned by an acquaintance. I'm so glad I did because they were the first company that fully understood what I needed, created a functional and sturdy design that also looked great, and remained professional and responsive throughout the entire process. Within days of my initial inquiry, they sent someone out for a free estimate despite the distance. Juan, who completed the estimate, listened to all of my requests and concerns and was highly responsive to all of my follow-up questions over the following months before deciding to go with them. The finished fence completely exceeded my expectations. The crew was professional, polite, and incredibly detail-oriented. My neighbor, who builds and renovates as a hobby, was so impressed by their attention detail that he came outside to watch them work. He said their precision and technique was absolutely fascinating and that he would use them them to work on his own property. The day-of, there was a small scheduling mix-up and the owner, Sam, called me himself and resolved it directly with patience, consideration and care. Overall, Semoore Fencing clearly takes pride in their work and providing top quality services. Their commitment to professionalism was felt from beginning to end, and I would recommend them without hesitation.

I set up an appointment and three weeks later a tech came out and repaired the gate properly -- it's solid and functional again. The owner later contacted me and admitted he forgot to mention upfront that there would be a $150 charge for the repair. He apologized for the oversight. I went ahead and paid without arguing. While I wish the repair had been covered under warranty (or at least the charge clearly communicated beforehand), the company was responsive and the work was done.

I called a spurious plumbing company by mistake because the Riverside Plumbing Heating and Cooling…read morephone number somehow linked to theirs in a google search. They said they could send someone right away. Since had accumulated standing water in a stairwell, I foolishly said yes. They came and worked two half-days, couldn't fix the problem and wanted to send an excavation crew to dig up my finished basement floor, and connect a new line from the basement washer and sink to our sewer line under the cement driveway. Additionally, I was pressured to sign an annual subscription contract "to lower the cost" before they did this work. Instead, I called the REAL telephone number for our wonderful local Riverside Plumbing Heating and Cooling, which we have used for over 30 years, and made sure to bypass the scammy phone links this time. Drew came the next morning, diagnosed a broken pipe in our 100 yr old house and made a plan within minutes to reroute our washer and sink to an existing stack. He did all the work in one day WITHOUT excavating our basement floor or digging up our driveway. Everything works perfectly and I came home to a clean basement, a working sink and washer, and as a bonus it solved a "gurgling" noise that had been coming from a first floor powder room sink. I asked that he return to hook up a new basement sink, which he also did in short order. It works perfectly as well. I WILL ALWAYS USE RIVERSIDE PLUMBING HEATING AND COOLING because they are reliable, well trained, do great work and understand older homes. My warning is to STEAR CLEAR of other companies that rely on aggressive marketing/scamming tools, rather than good training, competent work and ACTUAL SERVICE!!!

Great experience from beginning to end working with Jacob Fence…read more THE BID: I had a project with a bit of complexity to it, and I wanted to see a couple different options in the bid that I requested from the 4 companies that quoted the project. Wilfredo at Jacob Fence was the only one of the 4 that showed me all the different options in the bid he provided. His bid was also much much more detailed than the other company's bids. TIMING: Jacob was able to get my project schedule quite quickly. His schedule was as fast or faster than the others who bid COMMUNICATION: Wilfredo was very good about keeping me in the loop on this project. From email and text mssgs he let me know when he was arriving, how permits where coming along, when the crew would arrive etc. I always knew what was going on with Jacobs. SERVICE: Jacobs offered to take care of the permit for me since he was near the city office. Great! Then an issue came up with the permit and Wilfredo was helpful and patient as we went back and forth trying to resolve the city's issues. And because of the permit issues we needed to adjust our plans for the fence and Jacobs was great about working with me to redo bids, adjust etc. WORKMANSHIP: On the day of the install, the crew arrived on time, got busy very quickly and in the end did a nice quality, tidy job. I'd requested some things be done in a very specific way that was a little different than normal. I was concerned that a contractor might not do a great job with steps that were divergent from their typical workflow. With Jacobs crew it wasn't a problem at all. They followed my request and did so very skillfully. In fact, at the end of the project they asked if they could take a few pictures and said they like what I did and would perhaps offer it to other clients. INTEGRITY: Because of the adjustments to the project result from the permit issues, there was less work done than was originally bid. Wilfredo didn't hesitate a moment in adjusting the final invoice. FOLLOW UP: I got a call a few days after the job was done checking to be sure I was happy with the job. SUMMARY: I though every aspect of the project was handled professionally and that everyone I dealt with was friendly, efficient, and very good at their job. I'd use Jacob Fence again and I recommend them to my friends without hesitation
