if I could give 0 I would. In the past, there have been so many issues with there billing department but I was in a pinch and needed an urgent care so I went there on November 18th, 2024. One month later, I'm getting billed 60$ without any notice from them. I've checked every inbox of my email, I've checked my missed call logs, and recent text messages from the last month. I didn't even receive a paper bill letting me know they will charge my card. I called their billing department, who INSISTED they called my phone, texted me, AND emailed me on December 3rd, WHICH DIDN'T HAPPEN. I didn't even get that much done there, I got a rapid strep test. Nothing was prescribed and I was in and out in 10 minutes. I understand Dr offices charge a lot of money for the bare minimum but to not even let me know I'm getting charged!?!? Absolutely absurd. I have bills to pay, I need to know what money is coming in and out of my account. I will NEVER go to Midwest Express Clinic ever again, and neither should you! read more

I have been to this clinic several times. My issue is not with the care I have received, but with their billing department. My primary insurance termed 8/31/2020. Thus, making my secondary insurance my primary (and only) health insurance. I uploaded copies of the insurance card before each visit last fall. I even handed the receptionist the insurance card with my drivers license upon arrival for my appointments. Obviously, this wasn't enough. I realized that they were billing my previous primary insurance that terminated on 8/31/2020. I called the billing department several times and provided the correct insurance information. By December 2020, I was turned over to a debt collection agency. Again, I called the billing department and explained that they have to bill the correct insurance company. I called my insurance and they never received any bills. I have contacted the debt collector and Midwest Express billing department over 15 times in 5 months. My insurance company has also contacted them. They still have not billed the correct insurance!! Also, I am being threatened by the debt collection agency about liens. They have already reported me to the credit bureaus. Now, it's about garnishments and liens!! read more

Do not go here. On 11/28/21, We checked the website for the hours before taking my 85 year old mother to be seen. We were concerned her blood pressure may have been high due to symptoms she was having. When we arrived we were told " we are not seeing new patients". That was not on the website. But do not worry, they were "sorry". We were able to find another care center that saw my mother, and sent us to the ER because her blood pressure was over 200/97. She has never had high blood pressure so we were confused and seeking help. Do not bother going to this site. I cannot believe they operate a medical care site. But then again, they were "sorry". When I asked for a corporate phone number I was told they don't have one. Why am I surprised? read more

Showed up and my company failed to send the proper paperwork. The staff was totally understanding and helped make my wait bearable. Once the paperwork showed up, I was in and out of there rather quickly. The follow up availability was very flexible. I don't have a primary doc right now due to no insurance so I was self pay 100$ to see the NP, she was very friendly and nice. Agreed to prescribe zofran since I have been extremely nauseous and unable to live my normal life. She comes back after talking with a second provider behind closed doors and states we can prescribe zofran on your second visit? I was like ok, I wanted to be respectful but that was some BS. A second visit is 100$ to walk in the door, obv I am not working so no income, idk what these people are thinking. My second time coming here instead of using the Emergency Room. This visit was for a fever, body aches and head congestion. I got registered quickly, had a short wait for the nurse who was very courteous and professional and then another short wait for the nurse practitioner. She was very thorough and polite. The staff are all very friendly. It's unfortunate that many people only post reviews on Yelp when they've have a bad experience because I'm sure there's been many more pleased patients than not. I can see that there's the potential for a long wait at times as it is a walk-in clinic but I'll choose it over going to the Emergency Room any day. Unless it's a real Emergency. read more

I'm only writing this now because of other stories I have heard from close friends and what they experienced too. At the end of February I was having really horrible pain in my stomach that I was unable to walk, hurt to breath and just to do anything. I decided to go to Midwest Express Clinic because I have been there before and they we're helpful plus I didn't really have the insurance to go to the hospital in the first place. I decided to drive there after work to just get it checked out. After a couple of minutes of waiting, i went into the room and told the nurse what I was experiencing and my pain level. She let me know the doctor would be right in to check me out. Everything was going good until the doctor came in. I can't remember her name , but when she came in, I told her the same thing I told the nurse. She didn't believe me. Her words were "I don't believe you because if you are in that much pain then you would be on the ground right now crying and not being able to move" I was shocked. I didn't even know what to say in that moment. She then said "I can't do anything for you unless you want to go to the hospital but you don't have the insurance for that and it doesn't look like you're in that much pain". She then let me know that she will prescribe medication but that's it. I told her no that I don't want medication because I know it's not going to help in the amount of pain I'm in. I grabbed my paper work, paid the $200 fee and as soon as I was about to leave, she wouldn't let me. She said "you're gonna need someone to come pick you up for the amount of pain you're in" and I looked at her confused because just a minute ago she was saying I'm lying about my pain and now she's wanting someone to pick me up because of my pain? Anyways my boyfriend came and picked me up and I told him to take me to the hospital because I cannot take the pain anymore. Once I got to the hospital I told the nurses what was going on and they ran some tests on me, they found out I had appendicitis and needed emergency surgery right away. The nurses at the hospital were pissed to say the least. They were confused on how any doctor could say I was faking my pain and didn't believe me and tried to just send me home with some medication. They asked for the Midwest Express Clinic I went to and the name of the doctor and they wrote that information down. I don't know whatever came of it or if they did anything. Since then, I refuse to that Midwest Express Clinic because if I didn't list to my gut and went with what the doctor told me, it could've been way worse. read more

Will NOT be back. Well.... I got tested for Covid 19 here over a week ago. My girlfriend decided to get tested 4 days after I did at this same location. She has gotten her results and in the meantime.... I'm still waiting. I called and they could not help me at all. I asked why my girlfriend got her results already, and all the girl on the phone could say is We Use Quest..... and you'll get a text with a link with your results. I asked again why my girlfriend got her results before me, and all they could simply say is they use Quest Diagnostics. I will NOT be back.
