He didn't make me feel stupid for asking all kinds of questions. As for the roofers, they were amazing. They showed up first thing in the morning. They had to remove a couple layers of shingles and replace a bunch of decking. And they were still completely finished in one day. Amazing! They made sure everything was nicely cleaned up. The gutters were completed on a different day. Once again the people showed up first thing in the morning and were completed before dinner time. I wholeheartedly recommend Home Pride!! What was supposed to be a simple 15-day close ultimately took nearly 60 days due to numerous unresolved deficiencies and quality issues. Project management was extremely poor and, at times, effectively nonexistent. Many issues that should have been addressed prior to listing were discovered only after entering escrow, resulting in delays and added costs. After the sale, warranty support was inadequate (I would say they did not honor a warranty). Legitimate warranty claims were disputed, and in some cases false accusations were made without the project team even coming out to inspect the issues. Contractual deadlines for completing outstanding work were missed by a wide margin with lots of disruptions. If you choose to work with MWC, I strongly recommend closely vetting the project manager and ensuring you have a rock-solid contract that clearly defines quality standards, accountability, and firm completion timelines.

Apparently there was no actual cement in the concrete mix so it wasn't hard like it should be. The next day Kirk had guys out there tearing up the concrete. They poured the patio again for a second time and this time they hand trimmed the lines instead of machine cuts! I will be using them again for sure! My dad (who poured concrete all his life) was in town while the work was being done. He agreed that these guys were top notch!

I have icicles hanging from the gutter work over the front porch and then drip on the steps going off my front porch as the weather warms and then freeze over night and it is a sheet of ice on those steps. Come spring, I complained and they came back and looked and said they would come back. After a couple of months with no one coming back, I wrote the owner a letter expressing how disappointing dealing with them has been. They came back, made some adjustments and it improved that water wasn't overflowing from the gutters as much but obviously not completely otherwise I would not have icicles forming. For the amount my ins. company paid them 25,000, I feel they hired workers for a cheap job and pocketed the rest. Maybe if you work with the owner you would get a better job, but who knows why take a chance . There has to be better contractors out there, they couldn't be worse.. I come in and out my garage and you have to be in the dining room to notice the icicles and last winter I noticed they were worse than former winters. Today, in another area I was trying to put the downspout at the bottom back on and can't but why does it fall off from time to time and what happened to it now that I can't get it back on. I have lived in this house since 1998 and never had this trouble with the downspouts and in fact they were better gutters because the bottom was on hinges and as the guys cut my grass they could lift the downspout up out of the way. These are not on hinges. Just wanted my house back the way it was before the storm. My mistake - big mistake in who I selected. Never had used my insurance nor never had home damage before in the 30 years I;ve been with Am Family Ins. This has been a learning experience. Beware and careful who you hire.
