Since we didn't really explore Atlanta, we decided to grab a magnet at the airport. Stopped by this CNBC News on Saturday, September 9th around 8:45am. We actually didn't really spend any time in Atlanta, so there wasn't anything in particular we associated with our time here. So the roomie just got a random magnet that he liked. Or one that made him think of me as I adore pandas! He ended up getting a wood panda magnet for $5.99. Our transaction was quick and easy. He bought the magnet while I was just browsing the store. Unfortunately they don't carry black I "heart" whatever city I'm in tshirts here, so I didn't get my standard souvenir. Good quick stop if you are in need to a souvenir. There's a TV screen on the wall near the cash register that plays short news stories and editorial content, but the overhead audio was matching another TV in the bagel shop causing some cognitive dissonance as things didn't match up and I didn't realize there was a TV behind me. On my visit I was the only person in the shop aside from my boyfriend, so it was a quiet place to browse while killing time between flights.

The price is all the same like in all airport snack shops, pricey for what you're buying. Still, you know that coming in. My issue is with the service. This is the first airport shop I have seen that has those self-service scanners. I hate those things at any store, it's just a way for a store to reduce costs by cutting jobs, while reducing service by making you do all the work. Many times, these things error out so you're not really saving anytime. On top of that, it's not like the savings are passed on to you the consumer... of course not.
