You don't need to replace it. I had a few questions about my fan. He told me how I could clean it, but not to touch and or break. And told me to push it all the way up against the wall and then pull it off a little bit to reduce some vibrations. Explain to me how as it gets hotter in there the walls may move, and that might cause some of the vibrations. It's nice to know there's a place that isn't just here's a $400 part to try to fix it. They would like to have me save money and try to fix it myself. Obviously units are a few thousand dollars all the way up to $10,000 but the unit I have is over 24 years and they want me to run it as long as It can!!!
