He came out yesterday with a young man (other reviews said it was his son). They were here for maybe an hour, cleaning my fireplace and replacing a couple of parts. The cost of the parts was $74. The rest of the bill (service call, "extra labor" ???) totaled $405. Altogether he charged me, with tax, $485 for one of hour of work. When I objected, he said "It's cheaper than replacing the whole thing, isn't it?" His work is fine, but the cost is outrageous. I'll be looking elsewhere for my next fireplace service.
