I used the other original key just before leaving home with no problem. The lock opened (as I expected it would). When I returned home I tried the new key and it would NOT open the lock. To my surprise neither would the original! Returning to the store a different employee said the original key looked bent and he tried to straighten it. He informed me he would speak to the store manager and the owner and that perhaps I would have to go to Minnesota Locksmith. I said in order to save a "house call" I would bring the item to the locksmith. The following day, before going to Minnesota Locksmith, I phoned Burggraf's Ace Hardware and was told the manager and owner declined to help me with this matter. I don't hold the young man that made the keys responsible. Mistakes happen. All I know is the key worked when I brought it to the store and now I'm left without the ability to open the lock! Thank goodness for the owner of Minnesota Locksmith. He did everything in his power to help resolve my dilemma - even reaching out to someone else.
