(I thought it odd that a repair/replacement of a liner surrounding a tire didn't require the removal of the wheel, but it apparently doesn't.) I was a customer of Dave's and was disappointed to see that they had been taken over by B Street. However, I found the new shop to be very clean, attractive, modern (but with cool old automotive signs) and spacious, and the people are just as friendly and professional. The work got done as fast as possible and they took care of dealing with my insurance company when my insurance company was dropping the ball. I HOPE I never have to come back, since that means something bad has happened to my car but I would not hesitate to return to B Street - Irvington if that was the case. RECOMMENDED!

To make a long story short, Tires Plus, on 132nd and Maple told me this Ford Escape of my daughter's which I had just spent a bunch of $$ at Tires Plus to put a new AC compressor in and recharge a few weeks ago now needed more work. But, when we tried the AC on warm days and even the day after leaving the place the first time after the repair it was not throwing any cold or even cool air out. When I took it back in, assuming it was under warranty from 3 weeks before, they said it now needed a new evaporator coil. The cost? $1600. I took the car back and took it to Kurt at Acme. He and his mechanics checked out the whole AC system to find out it was only a fuse and now the AC is working great and Acme did that at minimal cost. I will keep bringing my cars to Acme. I was having a problem with a leaky air shock and I was having trouble finding someone to fix it…read more Another RV repair person recommended this guy, Noah Kowal and when I talked to him I knew right away he was the right guy for the job. First of all, the idea of a mobile RV repair service where they come to you is brilliant. Secondly, a problem like a leaky air shock mean you don't really know if it's completely and totally fixed until some time goes by and it still holds air and Noah was OK with that. He came out again it turned out there was a slow leak in the line to the other air shock which he fixed and then kept to his estimate for fixing the one shock. I didn't have to leave the RV at some shop for days, I never needed a ride home and I never had to deal with a cranky RV repair person who would would much rather be working on simple, straight forward "replace a part and your done" problem. Overall, a great experience. Noah is very pleasant and competent. I have already used him for another job involving a water leak and I'll be definitely using him again. I cannot recommend him enough.
