I told them I was paying only what I was quoted and no more. They still have the denture and I will go else where. The front desk lady was nice (however, couldn't tell me how much they would charge me just for a checkup) nice as well as the "nurse" that was helping me get my X RAYS done. As I sat in the chair they told me that first the doctor will look at my x rays and after the hygienist will come and check out my gums. They did NOT give me a choice on the hygienist look. The doctor came in, she was kind and told me that the problem was in my retainer which was pretty reasonable. 20 minutes later the hygienist walks in. She started looking at my gums. Again, no one asked me whether I wanted her to do that or not. I wanna point that out. After she was done, she talked to me standing, staring into the computer, which is fine. Busy people I guess. The end of my visit was the worst part. The "finance" lady came in. Not sure what her title of the job is. She brought me to her desk and started talking about the hygienist treatment that I never asked for. Asking if I will be looking at financing and stuff. Again I came in just for tooth pain which was caused by my retainer. I politely declined the treatment, saying that I will be flying back home and maybe there my doctor can look at that. Which after I heard "then why did you come in today ?" I told her "I came in with tooth pain which was caused by my retainer" She replied "Maybe I am not understanding something, why did you set up an appointment?" "Why did you come in?" ...like I came there for nothing. At that point she was just trying to make me feel stupid. Saying out of pocket remarks... and asking when I will be flying back home. For what? If I don't want to do the treatment, I don't. SO PUSHY AND RUDE RUDE RUDE.

I always wait awhile to…read moreactually get a true concept of a business and their values and service before making a review. So, I have been going to Advanced Dentistry for almost 5 years now. Their location is about 45 min away from us but I had done some crucial homework when I was looking for doctors or dentists etc. And it is worth the drive! I became a patient when Dr. Ohmes was there but he has retired since and Dr. Cusumano and Dr. Dwyer. Have taken over the Business. I have to say I am very pleased with the quality of kindness, education and care the whole staff has for you. They are even awesome when it comes to kids! Whether it has been my newborn crying because they are hungry or wanting to run around they stop and take the time to understand and respect that life happens. The front staff love the babies!! :) From the friendly staff up front to the dental hygienists and to the doctors, you can tell they have a great foundation as a team and love their job. That matters to me because they are focused on YOU and not drama. You are like family to them, you feel that once you walk in the lobby. If you fear the dentist I have to say this may be your jam! Kindness, patience and understanding are what are needed to help many who have a fear of the dentist. They are all those things and more. They explain and educate you on your needs. Here you can expect the truth and what things will cost if it's outside of your insurance. No hidden agenda or greed. Just a professional and kind place to be to better your oral health. Kristy and Stephanie have been amazing in working through the challenges of insurance coverage. More importantly, they provide great patient care, from taking the time to explain the cause of the disorder to the steps of resolution. Their state of the art equipment far exceeds the resources others have in coming to better sleep.

We have gone through many office changes and never had an insurance issue or procedure issue until now. With a mishap with nitrous being given for a procedure when we signed for it NOT to be used because it makes my daughter sick and the office manager's unprofessional treatment with an insurance issue, we are done. I cannot trust that we will not have any further problems with insurance filing. She indicated that their providing insurance information is a courtesy, not part of their job. So when scheduling an appointment, it is my job to know when we can schedule to be covered, since it's our insurance, it's our job to know what's covered and how to schedule. This was all over a cleaning appointment for my daughter, which was two weeks too early for coverage. However, all they had to do was resubmit to insurance, as I asked for. Plus, when we schedule, we always ask to schedule when we are available according to insurance coverage. After calling to see ow to get this taken care of with the insurance, the office manager insisted I pay and asked 8 times during our phone call how I'd like to pay for the cleaning. She sent us text messages with a payment link, and then she put our accounts for the whole family under review so we could not make any appointment changes. When I called my insurance and asked why it wasn't paid, they said the office could ask for a resubmission or clarification. Also, they asked for codes I had no idea about. Since the office manager would not call and do a resubmission, I contacted our company's insurance agent for help. The insurance issued payment a week after this call with the office manager. Never in all my life have we ever been treated so rudely by an office/insurance person at any doctor's office.

One of my girls is always afraid of the dentist. This time she was fine and happy that she is missing a lot of her baby teeth. :) In my prior visits with other dentist you can get a few staff that is really good and the Dr. Is just ok. Straight to the point, the dental work would be so so, no jokes, no nothing. I don't like doctors at all!, I get really nervious and I need to laugh to relax a little. Boardwalk Family Dental have the whole package, latest technology, great service, fun and loving people!!! Everyone knows what they are doing, are very kind and have patience with my girls. Love the sense of humor!!!! When it was my turn to see the Dr. and the staff I didn't have to explain any of my jokes, so thats a plus! :) The only bad thing for me, is the distance. I wish the location could be closer. Other than that is GREAT! Love everyone in that office.
