a plate of food

Even with the current pandemic, I am still glad to see that a small business like this one is still open! (Please keep supporting these businesses btw!) Food: I got the gyro platter, and even though it was the small size, it was still filling and satisfying. The meat and rice were freshly prepared, and the veggies gave the meal unique flavors and tastes. Service/Environment: There were only two people working the restaurant, but they were both super friendly and welcoming, despite the current situation. They explained the menu well and were able to quickly prepare my meal without compromising on the quality. Price: The platter was around $9-10 for the small, and an extra dollar or two for the large one, which I think is a fair price point. Overall: Tasty food with quick and friendly service at a solid price point, which makes this place worth your while!

I never noticed this place despite going to the dentist next door for the past 2 years. The outside did not entice me to come in. I finally checked out their menu on Yelp, and I do wish I had done that sooner! The menu was simple and the food was good. I got something American and something Turkish, and it was all tasty and fresh. Decent prices for the sandwiches as they come with fries, and though the portion of the rice bowl was on the small side, the quality of the food justifies the price. The inside was a nice surprise (extra points for the pretty washroom!) It was bright, cute, and spotless. A pleasant space to dine in. When I went, there was only an older man working the food counter, cashier, and service. Though he said little, what he did say was funny and friendly.

This is an unassuming little hole in the wall which could easily be missed. But don't miss it! They have a large variety of proteins available, and they are all delicious! I had steak and my daughter had shwama. It is available as a platter, over rice it in a pita. They have a wide variety of toppings and sauces too. The owners are very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back!

My yummy falafel/lamb meatball combo bowl !

I first found out about this place on NJ Yelps 100, surprised to find one so close to my parents house. So I took my very Asian-biased parents to this very non-Asian establishment. My parents are also the same people who pack a Costco size ramen when they travel to Italy (or anywhere) because they are afraid they will starve otherwise. They liked it. Enough to have mentioned possibly maybe potentially going back there again in the future (but as of yet... no they haven't on their own initiative). OK totally irrelevant rambling. You got your standard customizable Mediterranean bowl or Pita salad format. The proteins are flavorful and the side dishes are tasty fresh. The staff is friendly. There's always small baked add-ons (like lemon scones!) to finish off the meal. Portion is ideal for me but definitely not enough for a larger dude (that works out). Its simple good food... but lacks in uniqueness or theme that I would expect from a top rated establishment.

Let's start off with the best part of the meal... the falafel! On their website they advise they have the "best falafel in Princeton" and although I have not yet to try ALL the other falafel in Princeton, I certainly do not doubt it. I ordered the salad bowl with falafel as my protein (only veg option), and it was simply delish - very crispy and added so much flavor to the salad. I wish everything else brought the same amount of flavor though! For toppings, the hummus and spicy ezme were disappointing because they tasted bland to me. The "spicy" ezme was literally negative 5 on the 1-5 spicy scale. I mixed a few of the flavors (tahini, hot sauce, and garlic) and they were all too watery for my lovin' Good spot to catch a healthy meal. Very chic interior for a create-your-own spot. I did notice that many of the customers coming in-and-out were regulars, which is always a good sign. It's out of the way for me so I doubt I'd come back and pay $10 for a subpar salad. Also, Midpoint is located right across the Princeton Airport so if you're lucky, you may even get to see a few jet planes taking off/landing!

Located in the Research Park commercial strip right across Rt. 206 from Princeton Airport, Midpoint Breakfast and Grill is a Turkish run café open morning and afternoon, offering traditional American morning meals, and more interesting "Mediterranean" dishes throughout the day. Apparently, their falafel is exceptional, but I will have to stop in again to try it. They had french toast on the menu, and I was in the mood for it, with a cup of java. Turned out that their Lacas brew was pretty good for industrial strength coffee, while their take of continental egg fry was just a little off the mark. Their mix of egg, vanilla, cinnamon and sugar was about right, but did not penetrate to the center of the sliced bread, leaving it a bit dry. Too, there were no caramelized edges, which is created when the sugar in the mix burns on the hot grill, leaving crispy marks from the contact and chemical reaction. Possibly the grill was not hot enough to make that happen. Bottom line - The Frenchie could have been better with an understanding of what makes great french toast so special.

I went in with really high hopes after seeing the high rating. The food here is good, not exceptional. I had the falafel bowl, which was decent. It was low on calories, so that's a start. There are many options for proteins, toppings and sauces. The serving sizes are adequate for one person meal. The decor and service is really good. The people serving are very friendly and accommodative. There is outdoor seating which faces a quiet parking lot.

Nice little place located right off 206 in Montgomery. It's a bit off the radar as it's located on its own by a few car dealerships. As the place was new when I went, the service was friendly and they went through all he ins and outs of their menu and how the orders can be done. I had a cheese omelet that came with hash browns and toast. Hash browns were good and cheese omelet was good. They went extra heavy on the cheese, but otherwise it was fine. I also tasted the falafel salad in which you can build your own and add toppings. The falafel was good and cooked pretty well. Not life changing, but good. They have a small outside seating area consisting of a few tables and chairs. It's part of the walk way for the overall building, so can be a little awkward on a day when there are a lot of people walking around. Overall I'd say this is a cool deli type place that's good to stop in for a bite for breakfast or lunch, or grab an order to go. The area needed a little variety and this place fulfills that.

I was in a business area where there wasn't a lot of choices to eat. I saw this on yelp and decided to try it out before heading back home, parking was easy. The restaurant was huge! I didn't expect it to be very spacious! The menu was very simple (just how it should be) I asked the lady helping me questions about the sauces they have and some of the toppings, she was able to answer my questions in a nice way. I ordered the Lamb Gyro a piece of grape leaves and a lemonade.. They were are delicious! I wish I tried the chicken as well! Will come back for more when I'm in the area!

It was the blandest food I've ever ate. The portions are small and the price is way to high! Save your money.

It was unique and delicious - Tuna Marine (a tuna ceviche)- bright and zesty citrus marinade, liked the green apple Mains: - Brown Butter Brown Shrimp Casserole- had shrimp, mushrooms, and thyme in a brown butter sauce. Not only was the color / presentation top notch, but the taste nicely complimented the meat. In addition to our wraps, we opted for the falafel bites. There are 4 generous pieces with a nice portion of hummus in the middle. The spicy sauce has quite the kick! We enjoyed an authentic Turkish lime iced tea drink. Loved selecting from the imported drinks- gives it a foreign and fun feel. My favorite was the ambiance and Turkish music. The booths are set in chic cages and it feels like you have more privacy. The servers also bring the meal to your table- added plus for a mall food establishment. My only critique is the price. It is reasonable, but I expected a larger portion for the price charged. If it was a buck or two cheaper, I think the size of the wrap would match the cost. Because of this, I'd rank it a 4.5 / 5 stars. Overall, wonderful spot. Highly recommend!

It was quick, efficient, and mercifully free of small talk. A machine that doesn't pretend to care about your day is, in many ways, the most honest companion while still lacking the dismissiveness of the Gen Z stare. My sandwich arrived at the table shortly after, delivered by a human who didn't linger. We understood each other. I had the Pink Sultan. Chicken, mixed greens, red cabbage, pickles, and a sauce the color of a polite sunset. I read that the sauce involves beets, which explains both the color palette and the faint suggestion that I was eating something that once grew in dirt and had ambitions. The sandwich was good. Not life changing, not tragic. The chicken was tender enough, the vegetables crisp, the flavors balanced in a way that suggested someone had made decisions and stuck with them. I drank a bottle of Turkish Uludag soda, which tasted like citrus with a hint of optimism. It whispered, "I'm like Fanta, but regional AND foreign, which of course makes me better." The place itself is clean and modern, with that fast casual confidence that says we take our ingredients seriously but not ourselves. They make a point of using fresh components and well seasoned meats that rotate slowly on a spit, absorbing flavor as time passes, much like the rest of us. Everything I ate was pretty good. That is not faint praise. In a world where many meals are often either regrettable or unforgettable, pretty good is a kind of victory. Four stars. The kiosk asked nothing of me, and the food delivered something in return.

Greek Salad with cubechicken - 4/5…read more The Greek salad with grilled chicken was absolutely delicious. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, and the tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and feta cheese were all fresh and flavorful. The grilled chicken cubes were juicy, tender, and seasoned perfectly. The salad was beautifully presented, and the olive oil and lemon dressing brought everything together. My only complaint is that the grilled chicken portion was extremely small, especially considering the price. I would also have liked a slightly larger overall salad. Despite that, the quality and flavor were excellent, and I would definitely order it again. Hummus - 5/5 The hummus was smooth, creamy, and full of fresh flavor. It paired perfectly with the bread and was one of our favorite appetizers. Beautiful presentation, excellent taste, and very fresh. I just wish the serving size had been a bit larger. Calamari - 3/5 The calamari was served as tiny strips instead of rings, but it was crispy and cooked well. The homemade dipping sauce was absolutely amazing--the best calamari sauce I've ever had! The only disappointment was the portion size, which was very small for the price. Even so, the incredible sauce made this appetizer memorable, and I'd order it again just for that. Chicken Chops - 5/5 The grilled chicken was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The rice and vegetables were fresh and complemented the meal well. Everything looked beautiful on the plate. The only drawback was that the portion was smaller than expected for the price. Baklava - 4/5 The baklava was fresh, flaky, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. The pistachios tasted fresh, and it was a wonderful way to end the meal. Delicious dessert! But super small Overall Restaurant Review - 4/5 We had a wonderful dining experience at Namli Mediterranean & Turkish Cuisine. The restaurant was spotless, the staff was friendly and attentive, and every dish arrived beautifully presented. Everything we ordered was fresh and absolutely delicious. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect experience is that the portions are quite small for the price. If they offered slightly larger portions, it would be outstanding. Despite that, we would definitely return and highly recommend it for the quality of the food, excellent service, and clean, welcoming atmosphere.
