I was told that the injuries were minor and were believed to have been caused by Mack bumping into things because he is an exuberant, playful puppy. I was also told that the scrapes had been cleaned and that there was no reason for further treatment. I specifically asked whether Mack had displayed any aggression or behavioral issues while at the facility. Heather, the manager, assured me that he had not and described him as simply being very energetic. The following morning, Mack was clearly not himself. He was lethargic, whiny, and refused to eat. I took him to my veterinarian, who examined him and determined that the wounds were consistent with a dog bite. I immediately attempted to communicate this information to the facility. Unfortunately, rather than addressing my concerns, the facility became defensive. The person I spoke with by phone requested a photograph of Mack's injury. After I provided the photograph, I received an email stating that the injury was "superficial" and did not require treatment. My concern is that the facility failed to accurately identify or communicate the nature of Mack's injuries. Dog bite wounds can appear superficial externally while causing significant underlying soft-tissue damage, which is why I believe this incident should be taken seriously. I am sharing this experience in the hope that other pet owners are aware of what occurred and that the facility takes appropriate steps to prevent similar incidents from happening to other animals. When I attempted to obtain an incident report, as I had been advised to do, I was threatened with a restraining order. I found this response particularly concerning given that I was simply attempting to document what happened to my puppy and obtain information about his care while he was in the facility's custody.

I had seen a few negative reviews but, the majority were positive so, one shot is what I figured they deserved. Typically, when my girls come home from a long kennel stay, they look miserable. They typically look like they haven't eaten much and I swear they look at me like I'm a horrible fur mom for leaving them wherever they went. That was totally not the case here. In fact, when the door was opened to let them into the lobby where my son and I were standing to pick them up, they ran to the two employees in the room instead. Not only did they look happy and healthy but, they smelled great (no I didn't request a bath) and all of their bedding had been washed! It was obvious they had eaten well and were happy. When we got home, rather than immediately crashing, they even played a bit and stayed awake for a good bit of time. I will definitely be using Hounds Town in the future for not only kennel needs, but for daycare this summer!

Some people that frequent the spot, let their dogs become aggressive and don't curb or police them. Most people are friendly but, it is mainly for more than one person. They have TV's but, there is so much activity where they are located that it is hard to focus. If you are alone it can be boring except for the fact your dog is enjoying it (which I guess is the point!) The bar used to be hit or miss but has improved. While a I know this isn't a place you should be going to get tipsy even , I mean I get it , it's a dog park but when I have ordered a shot or two of whiskey with my beer , I was really ripped off more than a couple times by two specific people. The bar manager is great and I think she corrected the light pours, which is great because the alcohol there isn't cheap. I'm not ragging on the bartenders though - all of them are nice and polite. I have only limited experience with the Doggy Daycare and while I don't know what actually goes on back 'there' my dog seemed to be happy when picked up. I will say one of the young ladies who normally checks me in young, with mid-length blonde hair was not very friendly. It was like 8AM and it's Doggy Day Care and isn't cheap , probably be a bit friendlier to the customers. Other than that , it's a decent place to enjoy an afternoon with a beer, or not, while your pup plays and socializes with other dogs. Just wish some owners would be more attentive of their dogs behavior - most are! Recommend checking this place out.

This is WAS my go to spot to take my dog and now I'm done. I feel like they have just gotten worse and worse over the years. You will request report cards and you get nothing! No communication with your dog being there with them while you are traveling. If you are looking for a place to board your dog go somewhere else!
