I had my miniature poodle groomed here today by KiKi. She was absolutely AMAZING!!! Our dog was given the cutest teddy bear style. KiKi was friendly and accommodating. Our pup didn't even want to come home. The shop was clean and orderly, and a great atmosphere!!! I recommend this place 100% for your grooming needs.

After Harley's visit to Grateful Pets.

Yesterday was my first visit to Grateful Pets. I had an appointment with Micki and she is awesome. She spent time with me when I arrived to make sure she knew just what I needed. She was very good with my fur baby, Harley and she made him feel comfortable. Which is so important as it is not all about the cost. She called to let me know that Harley was ready. When I picked him up he looked perfect and Micki made sure I was happy. If you have not been to Grateful Pets and you are looking for a new groomer please go see Micki. You won't be disappointed.

Niko's bloody and swollen left eye after he received a cut that the groomers never told me about. This took a week and a half to heal!!

I found this location due to a recommendation from Monroe Road Animal Hospital for A dog's best friend. We had been customers of Grateful Pet's at their Monroe Rd Elizabeth location (review posted for Elizabeth location with details of extremely poor service) and the last thing I wanted to do was use Grateful Pets again after our experiences at their other location. I had originally called this location thinking it was a dog's best friend and was shocked to learn that Grateful Pets had bought out the location and it was under new management. I explained to him that I was not happy with Grateful Pets and explained our last two visits and what had happened at their Elizabeth location. The manager was very apologetic and assured me that the staff they had at this location did not work at the Elizabeth location and vice versa. I made the decision to give this location a shot as the staff members were supposedly not associated with the other location. Upon arrival, I was speaking with the manager, who recognized my dogs immediately, upon arrival and we discussed the overbooking tendencies and poor service of the other location and the poor service both of my pups had received. This location has the grooming section divided from the front desk with a wooden wall to waist level and upper screen so that you can see into the grooming area. One of the groomers (Holly) overheard the experiences we had at the Elizabeth location and came out to greet us stating she was the one who had groomed one of my dogs and had spoken with me personally at our last grooming service assuring me both dogs would be taken care of. I explained to her that I was displeased with her service at our last visit and stated I did not think staff members were shared between both locations since I was assured on the phone that was not their practice. This was strike one for this location as I was lied to on the phone about their staff members. I explained in detail what I expected out of this grooming experience and stated I did not want the same issues that I have had the past two visits. Holly assured me that she would go above and beyond and apologized for our last visit. I received a call about 4 hours later that both dogs were ready to be picked up. I arrived to the location and before even going into the facility I could hear my youngest husky frantically screaming/yelping, which alarmed me.... I walked into the facility and the manager made a joke that my dog must have seen my car and knew it was me and was ready to go home. First of there is no way possible he could have seen my car since there was a wooden wall and secondly I had a rental car at this time that my dog would not have recognized as "my car". Both dogs appeared clean, trimmed, and were only slightly damp but they did not strongly smell of clean shampoo and were without bandana's. Both of my pups jetted for the door and especially my youngest, who I heard yelping previously, ran to the car and cowered down in the backseat - extremely unusual behavior for him. At this point I had no idea what had happened but obviously something had went wrong. I was assured that both dogs were great during their visit and they couldn't wait to see them again. We got home and I noticed my youngest rubbing his eye constantly......that is when I noticed his ENTIRE eye was BLOODY. They had cut his eye somehow and now my huskies eye was swollen and bloody. I immediately called the facility to ask if something had happened but no one answered. It took a week and a half for my poor pups eye to heal. Again this proves that Grateful Pets is a horrible grooming facility despite location. We will be going to a new groomer that is no way associated with this business. I do not recommend anyone using any of their locations.

Mickey did a great job on Toshi and even helped me with car issues! She forgot to put on cologne on him and when she called him he came to her...and he was in our arms. This is a great sign that he isn't fearful. I wouldn't take him anywhere else.

Absolute Failure of Care: Unauthorized Injury and Mismanaged Play…read moreI am writing this review as a serious warning to other dog owners. My experience with Camp Bow Wow Matthews was unacceptable, resulting in injury to my 10-month-old puppy and a complete failure of service on a follow-up visit. Incident 1: Unauthorized Procedure Resulting in Injury On his first visit, my 10-month-old puppy was subjected to an unauthorized nail trim that I did not request or approve. When I picked him up, his toenails had been cut down below the quick on multiple toes and were bleeding profusely. This indicates a severe lack of care and training, compounded by performing a painful procedure without owner consent. I complained to the staff immediately about the pain and distress this caused my puppy. Incident 2: Mismanagement of Play and Unapproved Confinement Despite the initial injury, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and brought him back. I picked him up to find he had been isolated and crated for the final three hours of the day. The staff claimed this was because he was "targeting a puppy." I reviewed the video footage they provided and confirmed that the behavior they labeled as "targeting" was clearly rough, energetic play--not aggression. For a professional daycare facility, misinterpreting normal puppy play and confining him for three hours instead of actively managing the group or separating him into a smaller, supervised area shows a complete lack of necessary skill and accountability. The combination of causing a preventable, unauthorized injury and then failing to provide the core service (socialization and supervised play) demonstrates a serious lack of professional care and judgment. I requested a full refund for both failed services. I strongly advise other pet owners to find a different facility that prioritizes the safety, accurate behavior assessment, and well-being of your dog.

My experience has always been great here. The front desk staff are all friendly and easy to talk to. It's always been easy to schedule drop offs and pickups. There have never been any unexpected surprise charges or anything like that. I love that the staff here ask questions about how to care for Lou but are not overkill when asking about his needs. I've been other locations and they insisted on going through a long questionnaire with me every visit on specifics about his care. And I'm the type of owner and Lou is the type of dog that it's like look - we're easy! Feed him, keep him safe and tell him he's a good boy. We'll both be happy! I do fully recommend this location for boarding or hair trimming. They have been great.

Absolutely one of the most infuriating visits I've ever had--and I don't even want to come back to…read morePlantation. The reason? The front desk, specifically Paula. This woman has no business in customer service. I come in regularly for my pets, and she's consistently rude, condescending, and disrespectful. She interrupts, rolls her eyes, and acts like helping you is a burden. Today, I finally called her out on her attitude, and instead of apologizing, she argued with me. No remorse. No professionalism. Just pure defensiveness. Did she know I recorded the ENTIRE interaction for her manager? Probably not lol--but I'm tired of her gaslighting. This won't be a "he said, she said." She even claimed I had an issue with her--as if I'm the problem. I've read the reviews. I'm not the only one complaining about her. It's clear she hates her job, and frankly, she shouldn't have it. I don't have a problem with the other front desk staff--it's always her. To top it off, when I was in the middle of putting my dog down, she barged in to ask if I wanted to buy prescription food for my cat. Seriously? When we didn't buy it that moment, we overheard her talking to the staff in the back and saying, "I'm never preordering food for them again." That's not just rude--it's disgusting. She clearly doesn't even know how to use the software, constantly messes up client information, and I always hear her arguing with other customers. She even lied, saying my mother wanted her phone number back on my account--after I asked them to call me not her. This is funny, considering my mom switched vets BECAUSE of Paula. What's worst of all? She never once tried to apologize or fix it. I walked out saying, "Thanks for the apology"--because that's the only one I was going to get. You'd think with all the complaints geared towards her, management would take some sort of action. But hopefully now that I actually have the conversation, they can see for themselves what it's like to be a customer here. It's not pleasant. I'm not sharing this out of spite--I just want management to understand what it's like to deal with her from a client's perspective.

We just finished a four-week board and train with Carson at The Dog Knowledge. Worth every penny!…read more Not going to lie - the first couple weeks were rough on us, not him. We missed him like crazy and worried about how he was feeling. Dennis actually had us come in halfway through, showed us what Carson had been learning, and said something that I keep thinking about: Carson wasn't missing us. Not because he doesn't love us, but because dogs live in the now. He was busy, focused, doing his thing. We felt so much better after that. Carson came home happy and calm and confident. He understood the rules and felt good about it. And he wasn't (as our son put it) a "bot" now - he was the same sweet and goofy pup but now, he could follow instructions and maintain self control when we needed him to. The staff were also straight with us about the fact that he'd have setbacks. That's normal. They spent a lot of time explaining what you do when it happens. In fact, they spent almost an entire day with all the families at graduation - going over what the dogs learned, getting you hands on practicing how to do it, answering questions, and really teaching a ton of helpful information. We're about to set up our in-home training visit, which will be for all of us, including our three kids - really great to get everyone aligned with Carson's training. The Dog Knowledge is fantastic! We are members now and plan to board our dog with them whenever we go on vacation. I cannot imagine trusting any place like we trust them.
