Need help with anything on your account? Always go to the original bank you opened up with. No other branch will help you. Even though it's all to one organization. Need help changing your last name on your account? Give them 5 try's. Need straight answers? Go into the bank you opened up with in person, even tho they could easily tell you over the phone. Oh, and know it's gonna always be with a, "possible" "I think" "maybe". It's never a straight answer. And! When they say it'll happen that day, give another day. My banking experience with MidFirst has been incredibly disappointing. My company is a small business and we work with a vendor in Bulgaria, which requires payment my international wire transfer. Accordingly I requested an international wire transfer to my vendor for $1025 over a month ago. My vendor claims to have never received it and has asked for a SWIFT document or some type of legal document showing that the money was sent and received. MidFirst had no problem taking the $1025 from my account, but after weekly requests for verification that it was actually sent and received their manager and Vice President, Jay Kandybowicz, has refused to provide that documentation. With week I will initiate whatever legal remedies that I may have, but it is heartbreaking that this bank refuses to provide this simple document. They're bill paying website is less than desirable; 1) click on a link to view a e-bill and you're redirected out of midfirst domain without warning, not cool. 2) in bill pay, setup for a personal view on how you view your bills, in order of name or due date doesn't hold. 3) when a pending bill exists for a payee, the last pay date goes away so you can't view it unless you leave the current page. It's an elementary website that they seem to have little concern about and no desire to improve as I've been a customer for a year now... and little to no UI improvements. If you're primarily an online banker, find anther one as this one is lacking in development. read more

We're from out of town and don't have MidFirst Bank there. However, we found ourselves in the Chandler area on a Saturday buying a used car from a private party. We needed to withdraw a large amount of cash, but our bank doesn't have branches open on the weekend. MidFirst Bank saved the day! I dont like to write negative reviews but we had a very bad experience overall with MidFirst. After a few things like requiring a min balance of $1500 to not incur charges and being told no interior appraisal needed but then requiring one after we applied for a Heloc, we decided to close our accounts. We went in to close out and left thinking everything was over, but not so. We just got a letter stating that our account was overdrawn by 0.01 a penny!!!! To top it off, they are going to report a negative on our credit bureau reports. We have outstanding credit!!!! My recommendation is to Stay away from this bank. read more

Unlike the national megabanks, MidFirst won't be hoovering money out of you account at every possible opportunity for ginned up, phony reasons. Best bank I have ever been into. EVERYONE who works there is ALWAYS so nice. Free coffee. Beautiful building. Plenty of parking. Great rates. This is my favorite bank of all time. I keep reminding myself to switch my other accounts to this bank as well. I feel like the other banks keep nickel & diming me. But, not Midfirst.
