Where we said our vows. Huge oak tree with chandeliers that actually light up!

My husband and I recently got married here on Saturday 8/11/18 and we stayed the Friday night before as well. This was a beautiful venue for our wedding and the house was perfect for all my family who came from out of town. The only downfall is the drive to the venue. It was very windy and a lot of our guests left before sundown to make the drive and our wedding was an evening wedding from 4pm - 10pm -_- Soooo I recommend a day wedding or make sure people stay overnight in town. Btw, my gf drove home through the windy mountain in the dark at 10pm and was fine. People were just being scared little kittens!! Maria, the venue owner, is nice but a bit unorganized. In the end she came through and everything worked out great. She responded for the most part; there was a time period she wasn't responding when she was on vacation. But I guess who wants to work on vaca right? Although I was put off a bit when she asked me to pay the remaining amount when I had already did, that was a bit alarming, but thankfully she found that I paid it. Phew! My DJ hit a lamp post and took off without saying anything, but one of our friends saw him hit it. The DJ company took care of the damages and Maria refunded me my deposit. We cleaned the house, the dishes, took out the trash, and left all linens/pillow cases/towels on the bed or floor in a pile. Demetria the grounds keeper was very friendly and helpful. We didn't ask her to do much, but I'm glad she was there to answer questions and things for the wedding. We asked her if they had extension cords and she brought us some! The house is a bit awkward. For one, it has a ginormous Big Foot wooden statue out front of the house. That's gotta go! And a couple of the nicest rooms have rooms within them, which sucks for privacy. But it wasn't a problem for my family and I...we made it work...after all we are just sleeping right? The hot-tub and pool are awesome. I do however, recommend curtains on that bathroom door to the hot-tub. They had stocked kitchen, double oven, nice modern furniture, and a pool table which was fun. The bed in the master bedroom was very hard though and carpets look funky, different color in each room. Has a commercial kitchen with fridges, but no commercial stoves or ovens. The caterer can bring their own cooking equipment though. Round and banquet tables and white wooden chairs provided! Overall I thought this was a great venue. I liked this venue mainly for the fact that my family and I could stay the night and the flexibility I had for my wedding. And of course the price.

This is a wonderful venue and my organization was so blessed to hold our two day event here. The grounds are immaculately beautiful and serene. The owners are generous and caring. It makes this the perfect venue for weddings and charity events. They took care of things behind the scenes so that our event went off without a hitch. This is Middletown's little oasis - be sure to check it out!

I love Four Springs for retreats because the staff is wonderful, the accommodations are comfy and the setting is just gorgeous. It's back up the mountain so as to make it perfectly peaceful but not so far as to make it an ordeal to get there. Trust me, I know about remote retreats. Tassajara comes to mind. No narrow gravel road over a steep mountain pass necessitating 4WD. Love Tassajara but sometimes it's nice to be some where easier to get to. Four Springs is it. They always have great meals and very interesting seminars if you are into that. I would have my corporate Team Builder at Four Springs in a heart beat if I needed to. Their retreats and seminars are wonderful. I was on a yoga retreat here once. It was great. Spacious quiet rooms. Not glitzy. Not glamorous. Just true California simplicity. The only reason this isn't a 5 star rating is because there were a few times that we didn't receive email responses quickly. He was much better by phone and I personally work better via email. Elite Package Ok…read moreit's a long one but if you're going to invest money anywhere I think it could be helpful to make an informed decision. So overall I think the concept and idea of all inclusive planning is cool and can help ease some wedding planning stresses but throughout, I've explained it (when people ask) as a bunch of companies that have decided to partner to work cohesively but mostly to maintain working relationship. You will need to reach out to each vendor and make appointment with them and meet whether face to face or over zooms but aside from wedgewood.. Same as you would if it were not all inclusive. Again what it does however, is gives you dedicated partners that are working closely on a constant basis... we decided to go with wedgewood because we have 1 year old twins and figured it would be a great fit for our situation. The staff are really friendly and extremely nice. You have a good amount of meetings with Wedgewood(maybe 3 plus a binder pick up so 4), in my opinion not too many, but I'm also local. You go through the run down, multiple times of what to expect, what the steps to come are, and how you'd like your day to look. Planning and coordination The day of, leading up to the ceremony, the day was seamless. Maybe an hour or 30 minutes before the ceremony the officiant meets with us in separate rooms (in my opinion too late in the process to iron over last minute details) I expressed a detail I'd liked altered and he gives me push back, to the point where I have to remind him this is my wedding. Floral Florals were nice, however I asked for only greenery on the tables and there were blooms. Also there were supposed to be guttered petals lining the ceremony isle instead there were 4 bags of petals unopened piled at the start of the isle. When I reached out to wedgewood they expressed the florist did not give them any instruction--but again as stated you have multiple meetings over the course of time and it states plainly in the paperwork that is an element of the ceremony Ceremony As the bride I can only speak to when I entered. But there was some issue with walkie talkies that ultimately delayed my entry. The song I was to enter to (I wanted no more than the first 54 seconds to play) was pretty much done after I was driven about 25mph on the back of a golf cart to the ceremony... hunny the hair is getting thrown all over from the wind, I'm holding on in hopes that I'm not thrown, to show up and my song is almost over. At this point ok we're gonna roll with the punches Officially yours I think the officiant thinks we've all come to see him. I kinda had strange vibes in our meeting but I like to trust that people are able to perform in their expertise maybe better than they can explain. We did ask for prayer in our initial and only meeting but a lot more interpretation was given rather than word. Danville bakery I absolutely loved this bakery, the owner was lovely very accommodating and listened to the things that were important to me. We picked up a tasting box and faxed back our request. Again I'm local so no big deal for me iMobile dj The dj was very good he was familiar with our music genre preferences and sound system was good throughout ceremony and reception. We met via zoom he made sure he understood our preferences and what we expected the day to look like, even provided recommendations Buffet capt I didn't have much a a close interaction with the catering staff. I appreciate them making sure all our small guests were served promptly. Even at the end of the night Vicki made sure the groom and I had food to take with us in case we didn't get a chance to enjoy our food due to the days flow. However the next day a lot of guest said they didn't get cake, and these were guest that don't communicate with each other and also no cake was sent back with us. Per the next day response of our coordinator stated each seat had a slice and there wasn't any left... mmm I dunno Our dedicated coordinator left at the beginning of our reception. Kinda strange but aside from cake issues our reception was fire (we had a really good dj) Overall experience I don't plan to have another wedding but if I could do it again I wouldn't necessarily make this route my first option. Again they are really nice but the actual flow of the ceremony needs more dedication. If there is a rehearsal and multiple meetings where we discuss how the day should look, I expect my day to reflect that. Yea things happen but we (if lucky) only get married once, these businesses function daily and could be a lot more fluid. Maybe don't depend on walkie talkies, maybe keep a copy of the plans on hand and make sure detail are covered. At the end of the night we tipped coordinators, dj, buffet capt, and bar tender. Side note: To be fair I reached out the next day expressed my gratitude and asked for possible resolve. I was replied to the next day (folks get busy) and no accountability was taken.

There were a few red flags from the beginning, but we were already kinda locked in with the deposit. I had asked for a floral quote and had a whole intro meeting with Victoria. It took months to respond and she was asking questions we had already answered months prior when we met her. Had to send my mood boards over AGAIN. Seemed unorganized, but we brushed it off because she was very sweet. The day off, my florals did NOT match the inspo at all. They charged 40 bucks per vase, which had one stem of cheap flowers (I'm talking calendula and some filler/foliage for example.) our bouquets were also WILTED the moment they were handed to us. Our tables also just overall looked tacky. I had offered to print all my signage on card stock and Victoria said she had it covered. She ended up printing our menus on regular paper, with no design whatsoever, after assuring us "they're so cute and I can't wait for you to see them!" but never sent them to me to preview lol I also made table number signage that she said she'd print on card stock. These were poorly printed and shrunk down and she didn't use our card holders. She said they didn't work....which of course they wouldn't if you used regular paper. I specifically noted they were meant to hold thick card signage. The food was amazing at our trial and tasted horrible the night of. We got candied brussels that were supposed to be sweet and crisped, and what they served was just steamed, hard, and flavorless. Some appetizers used different ingredients. We were told we had table side service and ppl would help pour wine, but no one helped guests, even when they asked. Our venue even had us confirm that Evntwrks would do table side pouring, and now Victoria is claiming they're not allowed to touch alcohol, despite telling me she had it covered. I was able to brush it all off the day of and had a great time, but the cherry on top for me was when I came to pick up my decor and Victoria claimed my guests took everything. I found that hard to believe, as I didn't even see all the decor I provided on the tables. They were bare. She insisted that they took all centerpieces, and when I asked her to pls check their warehouse again, she found multiple of my boxes. I also took inventory of all my things, and she is now claiming I shorted her on decor so they had to use their own. Once again, I've caught them gas lighting me, trying to act like they did me a favor, when she's in fact lying. I gave close to 50 vases prior to the wedding, and she's now saying I gave 31. After finding my boxes, I counted 28 vases. This doesn't even add up if she's claiming "all my guests took vases home" but now its only three vases taken if I supposedly only gave her 31? Doesn't add up. She also gave me boxes back that were empty. I was furious and asked her where the items went that they didn't even use (such as table card holders I provided). She ended up finding them, but it just goes to show how unorganized they are and the lack of care towards other's belongings. She also claimed my flowers were wilted because we took photos hours before the wedding, which is FALSE. I took photos with my husband only thirty minutes before guests started to arrive. No bridesmaids even had their flowers till right before they walked up. I planned on doing stuff with my floral after and sadly cannot. I was also sent a bill to buy them brand new table linens. She claimed guests lit candles after she had told them not to, and they spilled everywhere, damaging their linens. While waiting for guests to arrive I noticed the tips of my candles were black on some tables, and I had never lit them before. Maybe workers lit them prior and realized they shouldn't so they blew them out? I did admit to seeing some guests light them, maybe two tables, but they put them out immediately when Victoria asked. there was not enough time to even accumulate wax to drip. I also dont understand why they don't have funds or insurance to cover things like this? I'd also be more understanding if pictures were provided for proof. Most vendors have a deposit in case of damages. They did offer to waive the fee after I expressed how terrible everything I was. However, this doesn't even cover all the other services that weren't delivered. Upon reviewing our contract, I've also noticed they taxed service charges/gratuity. Still waiting on a response from them in regards to this.. It's one thing to not have everything turn out as planned, but now I'm catching them in lies, which makes it 10x worst for me.
