This was a small spot in the middle of a strip mall area. The food is very eclectic and honestly it was hard for it to land as any particular type. The offerings are wide in selection but be sure what you are getting as you might be ordering one thing and getting something you don't expect. I ordered the gyro. It came looking like a normal gyro but when I bit in it had pickles on it! And not just a couple... it was loaded. No where on the menu did it say it would have pickles on my gyro. I have here had pickles on a gyro before and it just struck me as odd. They were a very different pickle too... with a very pronounced twang to them. After a few bites I drown it all with the gyro sauce and ate it... I was hungry... but honestly I would not order it again. Everyone else's food had its differences too. This is a small little storefront restaurant you can fit about 18 people in here. They have baby high chairs. The prices are really good definitely worth coming here if you want to save money and get a good bite to eat. They have a fountain drinks, and they also have canned and bottled beverages. My husband ordered the all four bowl which has Chicken, Shrimp, Kefta, and Falafel. Rice and salad. I ordered a large lentil soup and falafel (4) The food is really delicious. The falafel were a little overcooked and kinda hard for me to chew, but they were still delicious. The soup is really hot and takes a while to cool down so this is perfect to take to go. I wish they had a bowl that I could eat it in here that wouldn't keep the soup so hot but other than that, I really did like it. If you're in the area and wanna give this place a try I highly recommend it. It's really good and the prices are great . The lady working the counter was very polite and courteous so she gave us service with a smile and when everybody was leaving, she cleaned up the tables and kept the place looking nice. read more

Was excited to try this place but was really disappointed in our experience. Food- I ordered the falafel wrap and it sounded great. The falafel was overcooked and dry. My wife ordered the falafel by themselves and tagain, really overcooked and dry. Service- it took almost 30 minutes for us to get our food. The halal option they do have with Middleterranean is awesome! I got the lunch special which chicken and steak. It comes with rice, salad, pita and hummus for around 10 dollars. It's a great deal! I'm a vegetarian and always love a restaurant whose vegan and vegetarian dishes aren't just the same as the meat dishes minus the meat or with a meat substitute. That's probably why I really enjoy Middle eastern/ Mediterranean cuisine. This place has some great options. The falafel are delicious. The Greek fries are really good too. Excellent baba ghanoush. I'm a huge fan of fattoush. This and the lentil soup have let me down. The first few times I had the fattoush it was tangy and flavorful but a bit overdressed. I assume they got complaints because the last two times it has been dressed with water. No seasoning or tanginess...very bland but a large amount of water swimming in the bottom of the container. I don't remember the last time I saw a pickled turnip with any dish there. Makes me wonder if they have a new chef that doesn't like sour-salty combinations The lentil soup was salty but didn't have any flavor. It tasted watered down but with salt added. They frequently have someone new at the register. It can lead to a lack of familiarity with the menu or how to ring items up. That doesn't bother me much. This new Middle East gem is tucked away in a complex in Addison. The atmosphere is sub par and menu options are good. We ordered the chicken kabob wrap and hummus with pita. The hummus was smooth in texture, pita was nice and fluffy. The chicken kabob meat was tender, grilled to perfection and lightly seasoned. The sauces were great on the side and paired nicely with the food. I liked the freshness of the veggies and I liked the taste of the tender meat within the wrap. This place was great. It's right across from the movie theater and next to Rios another amazing place. We are always in this area and never noticed this place. My fiancé and I wanted something quick and flavorful so we turned to yelp. We got the following Chicken wrap: HUGE! I could only finish half of it and saved the rest for the next day. This was filled with chicken and had a good kick to it with the sauces Halal chicken bowl: this was filled half with rice and the other half with Jerusalem salad (cucumbers, tomato and lettuce) topped with chicken and what ever sauce you wanted. Extremely Disappointing Experience at Middleteranian I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Middleteranian today, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. I decided to order food from them using their website ordering system, and my experience went downhill from there. To start, I ordered three items totaling $25.11 through their website, but I didn't receive an email confirmation. Worried, I decided to call the restaurant. A girl answered and informed me that they received the order but that one of the items, baba ganoush, was not available, and she suggested I substitute it with hummus. Not wanting hummus, I asked if I could get a refund for the unavailable item. To my surprise, she was unsure if she could cancel a single item and return my money, so she needed to consult with the manager. Five minutes later, she called me back, confirming the cancellation of the item, but when I inquired about getting an updated receipt reflecting this change, I was flatly told it couldn't be done. This left me with no proof that they would actually refund my money. Frustrated, I requested to speak to the manager but was told the manager wasn't available, and I would have to wait. I had already spent my lunch break driving to the restaurant, and waiting for a receipt was not how I wanted to spend my time. I was promised an updated receipt via email, but an hour and a half passed with no communication from them. I decided to call the restaurant again, and the girl on the line told me to wait for the manager. Two minutes later, she told me to keep waiting. Determined to resolve this, I stayed on hold for five minutes, only to have the call abruptly disconnected. I called back, and there was no response. At this point, I was furious and called again. A male voice answered, who I learned was the manager. However, he repeatedly tried to explain their payment system, talking over me, and never took responsibility for their mistakes. There were no apologies or any acknowledgment of the inconvenience I had endured. In the end, it's not about the money; it's about being treated with respect and courtesy. Middleteranian failed on all fronts in this regard. I will never return to this establishment, not because of the $8 or $20, but because of the abysmal customer service. There are plenty of other restaurants to choose from, and I won't waste my time or money on a place that treats its customers so poorly. read more

The two guys who were in front of me got their food. Meanwhile a full-on rush was happening and the next 3 guys after me also got their food. 20 minutes goes by and the 4th person after me, got their food. So I go ask. She says give me 2 minutes. Food comes up and rather than give me toppings on the side, except for the sauces they just eliminated them all together. Did not even bother asking. I have no explanation but coincidentally I was the only single female in the place. :( That said the chicken kabob was not grilled, which I was expecting, the pita was so thin it fell apart after a couple bites. Craving middle eastern and being a super convenient spot for take out, I decided to give Middleterranean a try. Called in order for Vegetable & lamb plate and side of feta. I really wanted the Dawalee, but was told they didn't have kibbeh (or were out of?). Veggie plate includes falafel, pita, baba ghanoush, grape leaves, tabouleh & hummus. Good portions of each (not to infer my tastebuds wanted to devour it all). The best part of this plate was the hummus. Not spectacular, but decent. Everything else was ok to meh. Probably the worst grape leaves I've ever had. Tiny, skinny things with barely any filling. Pita was a big flop. Not warm, soft or tender. The lamb plate w/rice consisted of small chopped pieces. Flavorwise it tasted like dry beef. Rice was fine. My side of itty bitty pieces of feta was both an eye & mouth sore, placed atop of rice. At the very least, bring on the big feta chunks! The prices went higher and the quality control of the food has suffered. The last few times we've been the meat has been drastically over cooked and the salad has been soggy.
